Re: How to solo mine with A2 Mini (scrypt asic)
by

on 16/09/2014, 09:36:27 UTC
Hi there, I have a new type mini terminator.
I can't get it to work.
The raspberry pi reports "no any A1 board"

I have an 850W PSU. I am only connecting 6 pin pcie
When I power up with the pcie and the atx plugs both connected the fans do not spin, they only work when only the atx cable is connected. I am able to find the web interface but I cannot get to mine, can anyone please help?

Here is a pic of the pi output, I assume it doesn't need plugged in as well, since it seems to be running?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/dubjloxwaf0n0ud/IMG_1251%5B2%5D.JPG?dl=0

Yes, you need to use a PSU with two of the 8pin EPS CPU cables just as the poster before me stated. I had the very same problem and it sure doesn't help that there isn't ANY Info available for it and Zoomhash was insistent that it used PCI-e Cables.  Once I was able to get a PSU w/ the 2 8pin CPU cables and a new IMG for the Rasberry Pi it worls great at around 35-37MH/s ....I had MANY wasted days not mining because Innosilicon hadn't given Zoomhash a copy of the Rasp Pi IMG and it wouldn't work using the old version A2 Mini as it uses More Chips per board.

Good luck to you!  Atleast it mines great and runs super cool once up and mining!

I'd like to try this image on my new A2 Mini I picked up at Zoomhash but can't figure out how to power the damn thing to get it mining!  The 2 "PCI-e" connectors seem to take 8 pin connectors but they are Keyed wrong and 8 pin pci-e won't fit and miner won't mine or start fans with 6 pins plugged in.  Only thing that seems to power up miner is if I use 2 of the 8 pin CPU power connectors from my PSU but with thagt only 1 side starts mining at ~18MH/s but cuts out and stops mining after 1-3 minutes (miner still running but not hashing).

If anyone has some info to help I would be Grateful!  Nice work on getting Overclock Image working btw Emdje and I'd try it out on the new A2's once I can get mine working at all

I just received two of Gigampz breakout boards and they appear to be great quality.  Shipped out priority the same day and got them very quickly.  Haven't been able to test them out yet but i'm confident they'll work just fine.

Thanks for doing this, it makes it much easier to get high quality power supplies at an affordable price!  I'm sure i'll be back for more.

I'm very interested in this idea however; I can not afford to have someone just walk off w/ all my hard earned Bitcoin.  I think what others are saying too is that a basic business plan is needed since too many scammers in Crypto that are ruining it for the honest folks among us who want to get Rid of some of this Money-Grabbing Greed!!!

Would be fabulous to have a extremely efficient 40nm ----> 28nm process chip that can be spread out among us Miners and NOT just have these ASIC companies hashing 75% of the entire network from the Chips WE all paid for w/ our 6-16 Month Pre-orders  Undecided

With a clear and intelligent plan along w/ investor $$ protection, I'm sure that you'll find 100's of us Miners willing to put in what BTC we can to support and, in the end, profit from this venture.

Who in their right mind donates for free?
If you donate for free you contribute to a higher hash rate which hurts all of us, including yourself.

What a senseless statement. You don't contribute anything and the same logic implies, incidentally, if you sell 0.05 btc coupon for 0.01 btc.
Donate means free. If if you charge money, then it is a sell. Are you planning to declare taxes on this sell?

If you sell a coupon you hurt every miner except yourself.
If you give away a coupon you hurt every miner including yourself.

You seem far too simple.  While this may have been true in the summer/spring of 2013, the hashrate is far too large to be influenced by any single miner or group unless they plan to spend over $1 Million minimum.

We will do more good for ourselves and Bitcoin if we work more on coming together as a group instead of finding more ways to scam or overcharge our "Brothers in Crypto".  Just my opinion but you can see what Greed has done for Bitcoin lately....it's noting good I can assure you

I have 19 S1 coupons left, selling for 0.005BTC

How much do the S1 coupons give for a discount?  Am thinking of ordering a few Antminers.  Do the coupons get transfered to my Bitmain account or how does this work?  Thanks in advance
The coupon can be transferred to your account.
Each coupon will give you .05 discount.

Thanks for the quick response!

1. Yes - but profits switchers are a dying breed.
2. Gridseeds are already out.  As to when the rest will be out I believe John Caramack put its best.  When its done!

What do you mean by "dying breed"? Please elaborate.

am interested in this too since I don't think Alts are able to handle the hashpower and pure greed of multipools any longer.  They can damage a potential game-changing Alt before it has had a chance to shine.  Most Companies take Months/Years to get themselves into position to have any effect in their field but in Crypto if a Coin gets popular then the Multipools hash it into extinction in a matter of days.  I Don't want to get into Algo changes and whatnot but am very curious on the posters reasoning that they are a "Dying breed".

Thanks

Re: [Ann]Vote New coins on Bter.com - Which new coin should Bter add in next week?
by

on 15/03/2014, 19:03:59 UTC
Bter.com is Not an Exchange that is looking for all your New Pump&Dump Coins that are only being made for that purpose!

Leafcoin, while still relatively young, was created in January 2014 but is an Altcoin w/ a Purpose and a future.  And you can't disregard the fact that it's Devs work on it's projects continuously and developed Leafcoin as a Longterm Coin, not creating a coin looking to profit for themselves.  Leafcoin is and will continue improving it's Foundation Site that is currently working towards taking Leafcoin donations that will go 100% Towards a To-be-Named Charity for Reforestation (Plant a Tree Project) http://foundation.leafco.in/.

Please check out Leafco.in as well as the New Leafcoin Community Forum http://forum.leafco.in/index.php

I highly recommend speaking with one of the Founding Leafcoin Devs thru IRC at #leafcoin @ irc.freenode.net:6667 to answer any additional questions on why Leafcoin should be added to Bter.com

Re: LEAFCOIN - Currency for Charities
by

on 13/03/2014, 19:52:20 UTC
I think the topic " LEAFCOIN - Currency for Charities" doesn't suit LEAF.  Leaf should always focus on nature projects.

Can we start to fund a small project (planting few trees) with Leaf donations ? what you guys say

Yes, that is the current Charity and Goal of the Temporary Leafcoin foundation http://foundation.leafco.in/  I encourage you to join Leafcoin Forum and #Leafcoin IRC so we can all share out thoughts and Ideas!

This temporary Foundation will function until the much more extensive Foundation Project is completed.  The Leafcoin Devs are working on Leaf projects daily but also are working Fulltime Jobs as well as having Family responsibilities when home.  In spite of thier busy schedules they are still active on the #Leafcoin IRC Channel throughout the day, everyday, while at work and are able to make the time.  In addition to Leafcoins charitable purpose, it was my seeing the true dedication, persistence, and belief in Leafcoins ability to Help "Make a Difference" from the Leafcoin Devs that brought me in and wanting to be a part of the LEAF Community.  I had nearly given up on all new Altcoins as only being created to make money for the creators and the Pump&Dump groups and serve ZERO other purpose besides this.  Leafcoin was a refreshing change for me and once I joined the #Leafcoin IRC...I never left  Cheesy

These guys are very persistent and plan to continue improving Leafcoin for the Long Term!  Much has been accomplished in the 6 weeks since Leafcoin inception and I know first-hand that there are many exciting projects in the pipeline that will surely create a Buzz in the Altcoin Community.

Feel free to come and join us in IRC:  #leafcoin @ irc.freenode.net:6667

If you don't have an irc client, click here for a webversion: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net:6667/#leafcoin or use a standalone irc client like xchat and join #leafcoin @ irc.freenode.net:6667

people its no use selling at 2, trying to buy back at 1. it wont happen, this is why:

< 75000  - reward 1-62500 per block,  supply:  14,531,250,000 total blocks 15000 value:   468,750,000  52,05 days
< 90000  - reward 1-31250 per block,  supply: 14,765,625,000  total blocks 15000 value:   234,375,000  62,46 days
< 105000 - reward 1-15625 per block,  supply: 14,882,812,500  total blocks 15000 value:   117,187,500  72,87 days
< 120000 - reward 1-7812 per block,   supply: 14,941,406,250  total blocks 15000 value:    58,593,750   83,28 days

2 billion at 1 satoshi ( 20 btc ). according to above stats:

468,750,000
234,375,000
117,187,500
 58,593,750
------------ +
< 1 billion

even if multipools get every block and dump everything, you need to wait a year ( or more ) to get it filled.

current buy wall is 20. so less then half can be filled in 30 days +/-

if you add now to 1. it just wont happen. sorry.

IF the buy @ 1 stays like this ofcourse.

+100

That's right!

I concur as well.  We're not like Moon with like 30 billion Coins or Doge with 60 billion.  Thanks for doing the Math so folks can make an educated decision.  This may be the one and only time to ever to able to easily get yourself LEAF at 2 sat...50 million per BTC   Shocked

Thank you to everyone in the Leafcoin Community for helping and seeing the importance of this situation. By Working together and Helping each other we will come out much further ahead then any Scammers in the long run...Not to mention we will be able to succeed and have a Clean Conscience

Remember, If you are able please add to the 2 sat Buy orders.  This will not only be very beneficial to You but also be helping out Leafcoin and everyone in the Leafcoin Community!

Please come signup to the New Leafcoin Community Forum: http://forum.leafco.in/index.php  Feel free to introduce yourselves once you've joined.  We'd love to have more representatives of the Community there   Smiley
