Also worth noting you are limited to 2500 shares: so you are at your max with $50k: 2500 shares at $20.
So you cannot compound unless you buy mining shares (which allow to buy up to $50k extra).
If I were you I'd just cash out everyday.
I am compounding because the amount I've invested is 1k$.
Cheers

Sunny1, you make a good point.
I didn't see it from this perspective, thanks for mentioning this.
I follow pleiotropik's state of mind: As soon as I can see the guy, verify his identity and can talk to him about what the future plans are then I'd be willing to invest more.
There are so many fraudsters in this world...
Do they have a phone number?

Wow,that's rather worrying...
Have you contacted support about why it was so slow?
I haven't received an email saying my earnings were credited today, although they were.

Yeah I noticed, it's good news! The GH/s rate is also expected to increase to 10GH/s in April if I remember well.

It seems like the market price is updated at the beginning of each month only. The previous index was using the MtGox index. Now they have based their calculations using the Coindesk one.

Still no news about the meeting for the investors in London?
What have they replied to our concerns regarding the HYIP related reps. ?

Btw... danen, have you been credited?

Hi, did you enter the right amount?
Be careful, to enter the EXACT amount, and don't forget to take into account the transaction fee... So you should enter the [amount you send] - [the network transaction fee].
I usually deposit using BTC-e vouchers and didn't have any problem so far.
I deposited with BTC a few days ago and it went all fine.

Hi,
bitcoin-trader.biz and bitcoin-trade.biz are 2 different things.
Bitcoin-trade.biz is an Eastern European HYIP website which is very dodgy and on which nobody in this thread has invested.
It's currently offline at the moment, which confirms our thoughts of it being a scam.
On the other hand, bitcoin-trader.biz seems much more reliable.

Hi gujo82,

Yes it's the latter, when you withdraw your earnings to BTC they are converted from CASH to BTC at the current rate.
This means your wealth is preserved in case of market fluctuation.

Hey, thanks for posting the answer! Glad to see they're reactive as usual.
It indeed seems in line with their policy so that's rather reassuring!
What is Rainbow Group? Did I miss it being mentioned somewhere?

EDIT: I looked for the French rep. and googled the e-mail address:
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=nonopvy%40gmail.com
2nd result shows:
https://www.royal-fund.com/index.php/en/representatives
Looks rather dodgy too...

At the moment the website is displaying loads of "403 Access Forbidden".
Is this normal? I suppose the maintenance is still going on.

Got some good news in the mailbox today =)

********************************
Greetings All

From day one, Bitcoin Trader provides a secure environment to protect our clients' sensitive information using advanced SSL encryption provided by Comodo and a state of the art web application.

Looking to stay ahead of online fraud, Bitcoin Trader wanted to implement an additional layer of security to protect our clients' funds and sensitive data. To address this need, we have implemented Google Authenticator (two-factor authentication) into our web application. If enabled, Google Authenticator provides a six digit one-time pin that users must provide in addition to their username and password. The Google Authenticator app is available for Android, Blackberry and iOS devices.

Two-factor authentication will be made available sometime tomorrow and a how to guide will be added to the FAQ section. Please note that this service is optional, in case you don't have an Android, Blackberry or iOS device.

The Mt. Gox Saga
---------------------------

Mt. Gox finally shut it's doors. An event, that in my opinion was surely overdue. Claiming to have lost more than 744,000 BTC over a period of several years and not taking any notice until their holdings reached a low of 2,000 coins is irrational. It proves not only the stunning incompetence of their management, but a complete lack of transparency, accountability and auditing - if it is true.

I am glad that I listened to my instinct at the beginning of January, when one of my associates in Japan told me that even fiat withdrawals in Yen to his Japanese bank accounts were not processed in time as before. That day we halted trading with Gox, converted our fiat balance into BTC and withdrew all of them.

The whole situation and uncertainty led to a steep decline in value what was somehow expected.

Now, with the obstacle Gox out of the way, we can move forward and I am very confident that the market will stabilize soon.

Local Representative Network in full swing
---------------------------

During the last couple of weeks we have welcomed new local representatives from Brazil, Canada, India, the Philippines, Poland, Sweden and South Africa. Currently we have 21 representatives in 20 countries.

Our local representatives are the cornerstones of Bitcion Trader, assisting clients around the world in their native languages.

If you are interested to become a local representative by yourself to help out your fellow compatriots and earn a little bit extra, please contact Michael Brandenburg at reps@bitcoin-trader.biz

Hash rate increase
---------------------------

Great News! New mining equipment has arrived and is currently being installed at our datacenter. Additional equipment is scheduled to be delivered in mid March.

As promised, with new and now much cheaper mining equipment at our availability, the hashing power per share will be increased. Please expect 8 GH/s per share as from the 1st of March and 10 GH/s per share as from the 1st of April. The inrease is valid for all mining shares, existing and new ones.

Best wishes,
John Carley

Dude I calculated that if you compound your $2000 on 80 business days (which is roughly the 120 calendar day period) with an average daily profit of 1,3%, the value of your assets will be roughly $5548 on the 80th Day Cheesy
I wish I had that money to invest Tongue
I just progressively invested $500, so can't buy a share every day and can't maximize the compounding effect (yet). Above $2000 you reach the maximum compounding effect (supposing a minimum of 1% daily profit) because you can buy (at least) a new share every day :p
Seems like I'll have to go sing in the street to get money faster...
The hard times of being a student...

EDIT: just to compare, if you cash out every day with the same profit rate you should get approximately $4106 on the 80th day, so $1442 less.

Thanks. Although I wouldn't really call it long term, but rather middle term.
The aim is to generate as much money while withdrawing my original cash asap. Past that stage, whatever I will lose will just be seen as a missed opportunity, not real damage.
Since they have their Prosper 2014 campaign, the chances of being scammed within the next 4months are weak (but not NULL).
We'll see how it goes. I'm following the news carefully anyway and staying alert. I keep you guys posted.

Same here. I'm wondering what Mt.Gox's influence will be on the daily profit.
So far it's rather good because the price has been extremely fluctuating yielding to 1.2+% daily profit, but I'm wondering how they're going to compensate for the frozen (stolen?) money they had in this exchange...
I think that well executed arbitrage trading on an emerging (so fluctuating) market such as Bitcoin is highly profitable (supposing the exchange does not lose $350M -_-). When the market will be less volatile and stabilize, we will for sure earn less because the price difference between exchanges will be much less.

My strategy is different, I am buying as many shares as I can with the daily generated profit in order to have a compounding effect. When my shares will expire I will cashout the money I invested and only will use the money earned by the profits. Following this I am planning to daily cashout half of the earnings, and reinvest the other half to compound further. Doing this is a bit more risky than cashing out everyday (because for 4months you are basically not earning anything), but yields more money with the compounding effect.

Got credited yday 12hours after the expected time and today at the usual time. Everything seems to be back to normal.

I looked for John Carley and Michael Brandenburg in the Bitcoin Foundation page and they are not there.

https://members.bitcoinfoundation.org/current

Does anyone know what their friendship with the Bitcoin foundation mean?

Not much info can be extracted from the website regarding the company location and the owner:

They mentioned they would do some tests and that it would delay the crediting for a "few hours"... but it's been more than 10hours now...

For those (like me) wondering why their Monday's earnings haven't been credited yet, I just got this reply from support:

************************
Hello,

Thank you for being with Bitcoin Trader!

Our system is currently under maintenance. Earnings will be credited once this is done, in a few hours time from now.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

With best regards,

Thanks xephyr =)

I have also observed that you make more profit on days of high volatility, which is exactly when arbitrage trading is most efficient, because there can be a big price difference between markets when the Bitcoin/Altcoin are falling/rising quickly.

As an example yesterday (14th February) we had loads of ups and downs with a big amplitude which is why we had a relatively high profit (1.78%).

On the other hand, on the 12th the market was relatively calm, and I got a profit of 0.99%.

I can conclude from this that the profit variation seems to match the market conditions when doing arbitrage. So they really seem to be doing what they claim to do (not HIYP).

Still, let's be cautious about all that, never invest more than you can lose.
