The volatility in Bitcoin is an avenue for traders to earn money, this arrangement puts Bitcoin ahead of the Blockchain tech. thereby delaying global Blockchain adoption.  Blockchain without Bitcoin, is it going to happen?

Re: Bountyhive scam

Bountyhive as a scam bounty escrow or her operational technique is the scam? Bountyhive is not a scam because,  so far I have not read any records of them carting away bounty tokens and shutting down their website or telegram channels. However the transparency  and accountability of the token allocation and distribution is what I think Bountyhive should improve on, to further boost confidence in her participants. The population of the telegram chat room is 36.2k and her channel is 18.7k this figure is rather high to accommodate bounty allocations.

Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL?
by

It depends on the motive for acquiring the 250eth.If you wish to use as store of value or as an investment, then you may need to specify a time frame for your holding, after which you find a suitable exit by selling off. However if you acquired the Ether for trading to take profit, selling point will be referenced against your initial buying price. Better still if the need for fiat arise you may sell off some. Either way its a win-win eth will do well later, most Blockchain startups use the eth Blockchain

Re: Why is the market so sluggish?
by

on 20/07/2018, 22:35:05 UTC
I was panicked for the first time. The entire market is declining. ETH will reach 350 US dollars?
The first few days of the market made me panic. I dare not use funds. Is the bubble really coming? Or other reasons affect market prices? Does anyone know why this is?

Market started declining in late December when Bitcoin crossed 19k USD and we have been witnessing a major correction since that time. if I recall quite well ether touched $1,397 on Jan 14th 2018 and since then it is yet to recover. There are people who bought at $1397 and they're holding while some have sold off.The current sluggish market or bearish market is because confidence in the market has crashed and more weak hands never stop selling.

Re: The most frustrating thing about crypto
by

on 19/07/2018, 15:13:32 UTC
In my own view, I see cryptospace as a space that is closely linked with emotions and has a way of springing up happenings that trigger frustration almost every week. What frustrates me ranges from dumped coins  to losing my money to scam icos to hacked wallets/Exchanges and bounty managers changing bounty rules at the end of the bounty campaign. What is really most frustrating is putting in a lot of hard work to trade only for the market to crash suddenly based on back end manipulation.

Re: Is Your Money Safer In Crypto than at the Bank?
by
Funmmi2
on 18/07/2018, 18:26:46 UTC
Holding my funds in the bank is safer, Crypto is no different from other investments,it comes with its own risk and requires a level of safety measure. The vulnerability of losing my assets to hackers is pronounced compared to  when I hold in fiat at the bank, in the case of a bank the responsibility  lies on the bank to ensure the safety of my funds. I can only hold in  Crypto if I consider an investment.

Re: Tired of checking charts

How do you guys keep up with the charts?
Can't even sleep well anymore, if I stick to holding is it possible to make gains too ?

As a beginner in crypto trading, it is normal for you to keep checking the charts to try and figure out price movements, which results in mental stress and loss of sleep, this is because the market is volatile. Apparently the charts contains hidden information about the price movement which can only be interpreted by skilled traders,I suggest  you join genuine signal channels or attend any crypto trading academy and master how to interpret  the charts. It will save you the stress.

Re: Will you sell all your coins in Bull market?
by

on 18/07/2018, 13:15:46 UTC
Not at all,I won't sell all my coins in bull market, I would rather sell in batches and hold in fiat to buy when a little dip happens during the bull run. The crypto market is a volatile one governed by the law of demand and supply, the market is yet to see full regulation. Besides no one can say precisely when bull run is approaching its peak.

what does bull market means?

Bull market refers to a period of time when prices rise on a financial market, in the context under discuss, it is
often used to describe surges in cryptocurrency prices within the crypto market.
When  the price of a  crypto asset say bitcoin breaks the  consolidation price range, referred to as resistance and continues with the surge over a period of time, the market is described as a bull market. The term "Bull" actually takes its root from the upward motion of the bull when it engages in a fight, it pushes from a lower plane to a higher plane.

Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro?

on 16/07/2018, 18:04:17 UTC
Yes I read every whitepaper of ICOs and listed coins, I plan to invest in. What I look out for is the problem the project is set to solve, followed by the originality of the  solution they proffer  and the team experience. Sometimes I go as far as joining the telegram chat room and follow on their Twitter before making my final decision. I have since come to realise that,it has broadened my knowledge about many altcoins and Blockchain startups.

Re: Do you feel like quitting?
by

on 16/07/2018, 17:27:57 UTC
To be honest Yes, I felt like quitting a number of times, the CMC currently sits at $268,284,297,966 today 16/7/2018 as a result of the prolonged bearish market and lack of confidence in the market. Whenever I view my assets in cold storage against the fiat value,it is really so discouraging. like they always say in crypto chat rooms, only invest what you can afford to lose,as with all investment I simply pick up courage and become resilient.

Re: What is your experience in trading?
by

on 15/07/2018, 15:12:49 UTC
I am a crypto trader, my experience in trading is about a year plus. I started out as a scalper trader, I enter and exit markets within a very short time frame  and  barely slept, later on I became a day trader. I started with Bittrex then went to Binance,I lost quite a lot of my btc paying for scam signal channels. As time passed I paid to learn the art of crypto trading which assisted me in making informed decision, today I'm a swing trader, a glance at the market over view on the charts shows  me my exit points before I initiate any trade.

Re: wasted 3-4 months in bounty and at end got nothing ??
by

Sorry about that,Bountyhive CEO published a summary of the challenges his team faced with one of their bounty project, https://medium.com/@tstomff/providing-financial-services-to-2-billion-people-and-underpaying-another-10-000-eb64aa2c40
This is to let everyone know that sometimes the situation is out of their control. Similarly there's no way the ICO team can predict if their product will attract investors to assist in reaching their soft cap.
With regards to joining a bounty that pays, you need to DYOR, look for Bounty with an established company, at least an MVP or mainnet or the coin is listed on the exchange, the profile of the team. Bounty managers are simply providing  escrow services.I patronize Amazix and Bountyhive and accept their verdicts when it comes.

Re: is ETH very cheap now?
by
Funmmi2
on 14/07/2018, 21:07:28 UTC
In other to ascertain if ethereum is very cheap to buy now,we may need to look at a brief history of how the coin has fared in the past.According to historical data on CMC https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/historical-data
Eth opened at $12.22 to close at $12.13 on 2nd july 2016,from here it moved to
open at $8.15 and closed at 7.97 on Dec 31st 2016.
Eth opened at 7:98$  and closed at 8.17$ on  Jan 1st 2017
where it moved to a new ATH of
of 53.58$ on march 25th 2017 closing at  51.25$, it doubled  to touch 129. 22$ and closed at 126.52 on 20th of May 2017. On 24th Nov 2017 it  touched ATH of 475.68$ closing at $466.28 almost at where eth is today,ETH journeyed to its last
ATH on Jan 14th 2018 open at  $1397.48 closing finally at $1,366.77 from where it has entered a major correction to $434.03 13th July 2018. With this as a background, comparatively it is cheaper to buy Ethereum ,buy at each dip points if you plan to hold ethereum as an investment

Re: KYC + all your official papers being stolen and traded
by

Thank you so much for this wake up call, about two months ago I stumbled on a site  https://icosid.com .The purpose was for ICO startups  to adopt the company as a middle man for verifying kyc to save  both participants and the ICO dev from the kyc stress. This  indeed could put users of the Platform identity in  jeopardy. The kyc process has been abused, I avoid any ICO with kyc I'd rather wait for the coin on the exchange. Caution is key!

Re: Are Altcoins just as important as Bitcoin?
by
Funmmi2
on 14/07/2018, 16:29:12 UTC
In any ecosystem, be it in nature or business, there is always a competition. And most often than not, the best always rises to the top. And here in our crypto ecosystem, a competition do also exist. Between Bitcoin and Altcoin. We all very well known that bitcoin, being the first and most proven cryptocurrency already took the center stage in crypto market. Now that altcoins came into the picture, where does it really stands? What will be the selling point of altcoin that will eventually led the bitcoin enthusiasts to finally switch places?

The selling point for any altcoin to take the center stage and relegate Bitcoin slightly, lies in its use case and how wide the reach of its adoption is.The problem however is the over 1600 altcoins on CMC,its difficult to predict which of the coin will outshine the other in its performance. Needless to say it’s a very long shot for any altcoins to take the center stage on the crypto scene.

Why are some ICO projects designed to cover markets in only one continent?
by
Funmmi2
on 21/06/2018, 08:24:24 UTC
The Blockchain technology is decentralized yet,we are seeing ICO projects localized to just one continent, recently I came across ICO campaigns with solid project, working MVPs,experienced team, but I cannot participate,as it does not capture my country. Please share why we are seeing these new development in the cryptospace and the way forward.

Re: NEW SCAM IN TOWN CALLED SELF-AIRDROP
by
Funmmi2
on 21/06/2018, 08:02:31 UTC
I recently participated in some self airdrop howbeit with very little fund as low as $5 each by sending ETH and getting some tokens in turn.
I would later discovered that some deleted their social media accounts and eloped with funds. Some that did not run away made it to the exchange by promising huge airdrop to be voted for their listing. But would later dump and abandon the project thereby dashing investors hope.
I see that these new scam have no real project to execute but to just collect Ethereum and amass BTC at from the exchange.

Have you ever participated in any self-airdrop? I want to hear your view about the outcome.

I had a similar experience, I registered for an airdrop and waited patiently to receive during the distribution period,I received an email requesting me to send ETH graded in amount/airdrop.which I sent to the wallet.unfortunately till today I didn't receive anything. Since that day,I stopped self drop, as I cannot lose any more of my assets.
