@bitcoinballin - They have opened up shop again before addressing (or even acknowledging) countless past orders that were never filled if you read back a few pages. So I wouldn't consider it a no-risk, but its your prerogative. At the very least expect them to barrel ahead with business while your money hangs in limbo if there does turn out to be an issue.

At what point have we not been honest? I understand people are frustrated about order delays but we are doing all we can to resolve the issues and try to prevent further issues.

If you think we have been dishonest in any way then please point out where and i'll look into the specifics and resolve any problems.

This would probably be the many of us who were told, after a day+ of no communication, that "there were technical difficulties and a manual transfer would be issued...allow one business day to resolve"

Yet still have outstanding orders and no communication many days later. I have sent numerous emails at varying degrees of frustration to every bitinstant support member I could track down with NO response and NO steps taken to resolve my problem. You'll have a PM with my order details, but I'm sorry to say at this point it is hard to expect a response.

Seven days at this point. I really wish there was something I could do other than complain, what they will lose in future customers cannot be worth this. It was a great service while it lasted...

Without a rig any single graphics card in a computer you use IMHO will not be worth the time. And by that I mean, weeks and weeks to get pennies is not worth it if it stops you from doing other things on your computer. You will do much better allocating the time you would take setting up for pooled mining buying coins and trying to play the markets

I'm a little over 40 hours since last contact and nothings gone through. Personally I'm betting on them opening shop back up again a bit too early, which was a bad decision.

TBH while they may be justified in having some of their reserves low and it taking more time to move money back in (I'm assuming everything was dumped upon news of the attack, then overwhelmed with orders once they reopened shop) there is really no logical reason for them to have sunk the boat or turned ripper. With what the market did in the last few days, the percentage they charge and the traffic they get, (not to mention what they must make swapping currencies) there is certainly not lack of overall funds there. Its also worth saying that all individuals involved seem to be pretty damn public where there would be too many problems for them personally if they ever did decide to cut and run in such an obtuse way.

And just to echo everyone else, +1 for communication with your customers, no matter what the situation is.

And the Dow closes high! Coincidence??  Wink

Edit: Will be manually processed as per Seth.
3/7/13 2:50 Edit: Money sent 3/5, was told one business day 3/5 in the evening. No response and no money.

Part of the reason I joined here was to weigh transitioning to P2P transactions rather than only the most established exchanges as it would make everything a bit more liquid/make small frequent transactions easier. Larger online currencies/financial options really have little to lose with bitcoin...

+Another for the Dwolla issue/failed verification, which led me to this forum.

Contacted support through the form, though I'm expecting a wait as I'm sure bitinstant is still playing catchup from the long weekend.
