Re: Power is taken not given
by

No body gives you power but it is taken from the people by those that need it. It is taken from the poor, the rich, middle class, religion, ethnic groups, weaker countries etc.If you need power especially politicians and world power countries, these people can go to any length to make sure they get that power.  Check out what is happening in Russia and Ukraine ,Isreal and the Palestine. Each country is showing power either by technology or man power.
Power they say is not "served a la carte". Whoever needs power should be ready to fight for it, and in this fight, a lot can go south. Most of the crisis in the world as of today, is basically because of the quest to conquer opponents and get power so they can control. so a lot of times, this crisis happens not for the good of the common man on the street, but for personal aggrandizement and ego for those in the leadership position.  So if the weak,  the poor, the middle class and religious leaders wants power, they should get ready to also swim in the political dirty waters.

Re: Teachers as drivers of economy in national building
by

on 28/08/2025, 21:57:11 UTC
Teachers are the bedrock of any economy in the world reasons been this. The teacher taught both in formal and informal sectors of the economy. Without the teacher, there will be no technology, doctors, engineers ,mechanics etc. No wonder the teachers have this slogan teachers are great and the response is no controversy. Check all the business mugols, the entrepreneurs etc, they all came out from teachers around them.
It is quite unfortunate that many countries do not appreciate their teachers enough for the services that they render to the country. You find that in some countries teachers rank among the lowest paid even though their job is one of the most important in nation building. The discouraging pay for teachers in this countries, is a major discouraging factor for other individuals who are younger and have a passion for teaching but will not seek to consider it because they know that the pay for it will not be enough or sufficient to sustain them considering the high cost of living, and hard economy. For that purpose we keep having a reduce number of available teachers yearly thus affecting the educational sector and in the long run affecting the economy of these countries. Countries where teachers in all sectors are properly recognized and paid will have a good economy because they will be doing their jobs properly.
Teachers should be among the highest level of earners in our society, the slogan of saying "teachers reward is in heaven",  while paying them peanut shouldn't be encouraged. Teachers play a very important role in building the society, most of the things we know today where thought by our teachers, most of the economic theories that are propounded by our great teachers, if it's well implemented, trust me some of this economic challenges been witness in the world will be reduced.

Re: without investments would there be wealthy?
by

I wouldn't want to create a very lengthy topic to post as I don't see any reason for doing so..
So I was thinking something tonight that everyone or anyone who succeeded or becoming wealthy today do they really succeed through investments?

If yes, then how many people around you becoming wealthy through investments?

In my opinion, the majority of people who were successful today started from personal skill or self development, after which before they started investments.

What Is your thoughts over this?
There's a difference in terms of people that succeeded after having a personal skill and they developed it, compared to people that started their own investment, a skill person like a barber for instance can start small and over till expand his business, same things goes to a person that sorts out for their capital and started an automobile square parts business, starting from the minimum they have and expanding it over time. So there are investors that stiart from small and they've been able to create wealth for themselves through investment.

Re: The importance of Bitcoin in avoiding corruption in the banking system.

The banking sector has been one of the fortress to which government and it's institutions used to steal money and control their economic power of citizens, they use the CBN to set new interest rates, they create currency de-valuetion and also creat inflation and of these is so that they can manipulate the entire food-chain in the economy.

When you look critically the Aura that Bitcoin comes with, it invalidate all of those bottlenecks that is been created by the government, Bitcoin allows independent control of your money and doesn't allow manipulation as it is always seen by the banks.

Re: Time in the market vs timing the market
by

There are some persons that time the trading market by predicting the movement, once they notice a particular pattern the market is trending towards, they will quickly say it will remain down or it will rise. So people do make predictions, but it's also advised for you not to rely only on what some other persons have predicted, it is also good for you to do your own findings and map out a pattern that will work out for you. Before you start trading the Bitcoin market, you have to first educate yourself on how the market is traded.

Re: Africa on the Rise as more military coup sweep across the contents

The continents that are most bothered about this are the continents that are dependent on these African countries for their natural resources. Take for instance, France, which is already slowly being affected by the limited resources they are no longer receiving from the country they have been exploiting. From Burkina Faso, they have suspended all gold exports to France.

If there are more coups and resources to European colonizers are cut, many of those European countries will be affected. That is a danger for their economy.
Is already looking like it's too late for these African countries to take action in stopping this exploit, the African continent has been exploited already and the resources left is been shared among those of them that are currently their leaders. It is not enough to drive away colonial masters, Africa needs accountable leadership, they where on the same level with some Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia and china in terms of under development in the early 90s,  those countries have left African behind because they were serious with their institutions and their leadership structure.

The love of a father to a son is what is been displayed here, the bond the father has for the son is what is keeping the boy still alive. from the article the father has refused for the life support machine to be removed, signalling that he believes by divine intervention, his son will resuscitated back to life. Medically I don't how possible it is for a brain that has remained in coma for over a decade to be well functional if he wakes up again.

Re: dictatorship in Venezuela
by

The citizens of Venezuela should come out in their numbers to riot against the dictatorship
regime, people cannot continue to be suppressed like slaves while their oppressors are having a filled day. under that kind of condition with huge cases of political prisoners, there will be no election that will be conducted on a free and fair basis by the electoral body, so the citizens should not sit tight and wait for a Messiah who will never come to save them. I've read and seen news  about the Venezuelan economy being in shambles and their currency almost valueless, and this has been as a result of leadership failure over the years. The citizens need to wake up and take a decision to change leadership in that country.

The situation in Venezuela has been described as an authoritarian regime under the leadership of Nicolás Maduro, since 2013.
Approximately 500 media outlets have been closed since Hugo Chavez's term. which has limited press freedom, more than 8 million people have gone into exile, In addition, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights has demanded the release of more than 900 political prisoners who remain arbitrarily detained.
The government has also faced accusations of electoral fraud and repression against opponents, which has generated internal and external tensions, including disputes with Guyana over the Essequibo territory.
The armed forces are complicit and support such a regime.
Venezuela really needs urgent support from foreign military forces since it is prone to becoming a second Cuba.

Bitcoin itself is monetize because it's an asset that grows and have value, in other words many individuals do not have the knowledge on how it works because you can't invest on something thing you don't have knowledge about (If it will pay or not) .
Bitcoin is one of the strongest stable assets in the world right now.
