No Worries, They might have gold safe lockers where it can resist temperatures up to some extent

That's what I just said!

Unfortunately due to the nature of this fire and the tremendous possibility of loss to the cities extremely brave firefighters, temperatures had to be allowed to drop before they went inside. By that time the gold had been exposed due to such temperature that it was, of course unfortunately, unrecoverable.

despite the nazi connections I think it's a very good idea. "bitcoin cash" as it were. very smart.

completely solves the problem of using bitcoin for small transactions.

If you want a longer answer, you must write in russian.

Tried that, doesn't make a difference. Apparently their policy is to never put more than 3 words in a response.

If anyone is looking to sell chips from this group buy please pm me with quantity and price.

ATTN:

Doing a preliminary posting to confirm that I am going to trade my 20.8 chips to zamazama upon receipt of his payment. Will post again to confirm.

ATTN:

Posting again to CONFIRM that I have received payment and traded my 20.8 chips in FULL to user "zamazama."

I no longer own the rights to these chips in any way, and any current or future rights to these chips have been transferred in their totality to user "zamazama."

Thanks, would appreciate it if someone could quote this to assure I can't edit it.

To reiterate: I now own 0 chips in this group buy, my 20.8 chips (12.8 coming from AndyRossy originally, 8 coming from JahPowerBit) have been transferred to Zamazama.

Have you hard back on this issue?  I don't see in the FAQ that they do not support U.S. Bank wire transfers...  Have others used this payment method successfully?  I wonder if it just takes a long time to process...

On the main website they do indeed fail to mention anywhere that they don't accept U.S. wires. However, if you go to their "support" site, you will see on the FAQ there:

I recently sent 2k USD via wire transfer and noticed after I had already sent that your FAQ says you do not accept wire transfer from US bank accounts?? Why is this not stated on the actual deposit screen? What is going to happen to my money since it was already sent??

My friend here really needs a response on this. It is very unclear indeed on the site that you do not accept U.S. wire transfers, some sections like the Deposit USD area of the Finances page imply that you can. Then on other FAQ pages it says that U.S. transfers are not accepted.

Right now his money is in limbo, floating off in some Czech bank, and he's getting a little concerned.

Can someone please respond to this, or could someone who speaks Russian perhaps translate the key idea of what's going on? He would ultimately just really like his money to be sent back to the bank and account that originated the transfer at this point.

Much appreciated, thanks.

Why do you post on forum? There is a tech support on btc-e, button Support in Contacts: http://hdbtce.kayako.com/

I post on the forum because he's already trying tech support through that link and they haven't been helpful. It seems like there is a language barrier. He explained the issue to them, was asked for government ID, so then gave it to them. They responded to his uploaded ID by saying "Then follow directions" (that's all, 3 words) and copy pasting the account/bank information about where to send wire transfers to. (It appears they misunderstood the ticket? Idk)

edit: and he is of course sending numerous messages to support through that link attempting to explain all this and get their attention and is not getting much of it.

Who should I talk to about getting the spreadsheet changed/my name put on it?
I'd also like to get my name put on the chips i bought from atcsecure and dserrano5
I would also like my name added by replacing rallye's since I bought all them from him.

Not to be too impatient but no response on this yet. I sent a PM to both raging and John with no response and I'm not one to spam their inboxes.

Can I at least get a quick one line post in the thread confirming that I wont get lost in the paperwork even if the spreadsheet isn't updated? Something?

If btc is the issue I am happy to pay to get this all squared away...but I'm not just going to blindly start tipping when this is the only experience I've had with either of you and I can't get a response anywhere.

Re: Avalon setup preparation

I have 1 3-module and 3 4-module Avalons ordered in Batch 3 and am trying to make sure I have everything set up properly before they arrive. I've read through many of the posts here and am just looking for feedback from those with first-hand experience with Avalons to see if I missed anything.

For the PSUs, I'll be using an 850W, Gold certified, single rail for the 3-module unit and 1000W, Gold certified, single rail for the the 4-module units.

The power management is the part I've had the most trouble understanding. I'm going to check the outlets in my apartment to find out which are on different wires (pardon my layman terminology, I'm sure I'm not getting it right). It sounds like I should be safe plugging in at most 2 Avalons per wire, assuming no other appliances are sharing that wire, is that right?

I was originally looking at getting a UPS for each Avalon, but a few posts here convinced me that they shouldn't be necessary, especially since I live in an area with infrequent black/brown outs (Seattle). I'd still like to be able to remotely restart the Avalons in case of any hangups, and of course protect them against power fluctuations, so I've settled on using "Web Power Switch 7" from http://digital-loggers.com/lpc.html. Would these be able to adequately protect 2 Avalons plugged in to each, or should I get 1 per Avalon? Am I correct in understanding that I would be able to remotely reboot the Avalons with these, even after a power outage?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you are off to a reasonable start with your power goals by checking the outlets in your apartment to find out which are fed by which breakers. However, it sounds like you are lacking the formula you need to be safe.

Watts/Volts=Amps. That's watts divided by volts = amps. Amperage is what you need to concern yourself with foremost. If you live in the U.S.A., you will have "120v" current, but because of voltage drop you may actually have more like 110v, so it is safer to use that figure for calculations. If in Europe, verify for yourself, but more likely 240v (also with a voltage drop to 220~).

To be 100% safe you don't want to exceed 75% of a device's (power strip, extension cord, circuit breaker) rated amperage capacity. So a 20A circuit that you plan to run 24/7 should not be loaded with more than 15A continuously. Depending on how recently your house was built and other factors, many of the circuits in your house are likely only 15A. 75% of 15A is only 11.25. And as we remember from our prior formula (Watts/Volts=Amps), we can multiply 110v by 11.25amps to get the maximum wattage suitable to run on a 15A circuit continuously. 1,237 watts.

In short, running both units on a single circuit is doable, but be careful Wink

Yeah, I received the phishing messages as well.... however, I'm in this terrible habit of never checking for messages. I didn't even know they were there until I read the posts in the contest thread (which is now locked, by the way... even if anyroll is legit and his account was hacked, he can't really post the results there now).

Interestingly enough, I just went into my inbox to check something about the messages (yes, plural... I got 2 copies sent about a minute apart), and they are now deleted. Looks like the admins are all over this.

Same here actually, read about it being a scam before I saw the message saying I had won. Missed out on even the fake excitement!

That said he is a scammer man, he was still sending private messages to people directing them to the phising site after he posted about "having been hacked."

Clever scam too let's be honest, you know he got at least one person's account.
