Isn't that what the donated BTC are for?

I'm not sure what the plan is for the BTC, but it doesn't appear to be for dev bounties.  I spent 2 months working on my miner for XEL and have tried to contact Lannister for several weeks asking about a bounties for the miner with no response.  Not really much incentive to keep working on it at this point.

What's good coralreefer?

On my system, bitmessage, from time to time, does not work reliably for some reason. And it just so happens, today is such time. This is, needless to say, rather unpleasant. However, I am following this thread with great interest and it's especially fascinating to see the progress you all made so far. It goes without saying that you play a key role here and your work is badass. I will reward you handsomely later today and throw some BTC your way. Is your BTC address still correct? And keep in mind that you are solely responsible for paying the appropriate income taxes.

For a few months now I am struggling with serious health issues. Everybody has that point in their life where you hit a crossroads and you've had a bunch of bad days and there's different ways you can deal with it. I know for my personal well-being and sense of balance, finding some work that takes me away from my computer would be a good thing, but I do love overseeing this project as it progresses and I will stay with you till the end.

P.S.

BTC address: 1EVnmWVjTWWEbHrWenoyJ3k7wroyAD1K1r

I have just sent you 4 BTC. At this point I have to mention that you are solely responsible for ensuring that your federal income taxes are paid at the right time.

Questions?

I'm sorry for the absence. My schedule has been swamped this year and things have been a little hectic lately with little room for spending time at the computer. I do have a question indeed: could you share your BTC address so I can throw a few thousand pounds worth of BTC your way for what you have so far disclosed? That's what I've got for now in my mobile wallet, plenty more to come after I finished downloading the blockchain.

Considering your knowledge I hope you would be able to stick around and shed some more light on the flawed parts of the project.Your help is much appreciated.

laundering these btc makes me think this was a fake. say bye to your btc

I will not start lamenting at the overall lack of respect and reverence some people display online, but some really dig it. I will not blame you for that. Since you are not the brightest spoon in the drawer, i suspect this is a classic example of the Dunning Kruger effect unfolding before our eyes. So I think it is time to add you to the blocklist. Please, let's try to keep it civil in here.

[Elastic Project] - Hackathon! You can earn BTC every 4 days!
by
Lannister
on 17/08/2016, 09:56:59 UTC
Over the course of the next weeks, hackers are welcome to collaborate and compete in our upcoming Hackathon.

Participation is allowed for individuals only, no individual may enter the Hackathon in their capacity as a member or director of an incorporated or unincorporated business. All entrants must be aged at least 18 and attest that they are neither a citizen/resident of, nor located in the USA (including any region under the sovereign jurisdiction of the federal government of the USA) or Canada and neither a citizen/resident of, nor located in any jurisdiction where any part of Elastic might be illegal.

By participating in the Hackathon, you agree to disclose and demonstrate your submission here in this thread. The Hackathon involves multiple tasks which are due in four days after their submission. Every task will be assigned with a prize and a specific git commit. Your submission must be reproducible with that specific code base. The first working submission wins. Winners are responsible for reporting their winnings on their tax return so the winnings can be taxed at their regular income tax rate.

We reserve the right to cancel or temporarily suspend the Hackathon or disqualify any users from the Hackathon without liability.

More information coming soon.

Yeah I agree with raising the coin supply, not real sure about the amount of increase though in all honesty, the idea of rising the supply to one billion might not the brightest spoon in the drawer. After all I think this should be a matter for decision by the community. Can anyone set up a poll?

First I will not explain again my logical and respectful reasons to want to get XEL from early buyers before to make a donation, it has already been explained and if some people cannot read my post or understand they better no post and anyway they don't deserve my time.

Besides I have spent some time to read the last half of this thread and I have some questions if Evil-Knievel and / or Lannister wishes to answer them.

Earlier "Dazza" was working with you and specifically on the computational side of the project, I would like to say the core of the project. Now it seems that Dazza has some personal issues and did not appear on btctalk since few months, so it seems possible that he will not contribute on this project anymore.

According to EK, dazza was a key element for this project, so I would like to know if even without Dazza both of you are still confident to be able to achieve this project ?

If I go to the website http://forum.elastic-project.org/ I cannot see any post and the forum is totally empty, like there is only the frontpage and no activity, the only articles are about wordpress.
Am I on the good website, do I need to register to see the activity?

A last question is about the donation collected, I would like to know how long time the devellopement of the project can be funded with the remaining BTC considering the value of BTC remain the same?

As I have written in the terms and conditions this project is developed with no guarantee of success, for legal reasons which i am sure everyone can appreciate. In the quoted post above you are asking for a clear commitment from those who contribute to the Elastic project. These people are spending their time and their resources to make Elastic happen and I'm fairly sure they will achieve an excellent outcome. But nobody will make any written promises which could constitute a significant legal burden if, after all, the outcome differs slightly from the estimate.

Frankly, please don't be swayed if others promise you everything you want to hear! You surely remember how they promised that the DAO will revolutionize the way corporations are funded? This promise did not last a month. From good examples we learn how to be, from bad examples we learn how not to be.

If I am correct, to have a wallet on blockchain.info with my password safe is enough to claim my XEL when they will be available?

That's correct. As long as you can gain access to the private key of the address that belongs to the first input to your donation transaction, you will be able to redeem your XEL. There will be a handy tool which will simplify this process for a number of open source wallets and make it easier for the average joe to redeem his XEL.

Sorry for the mystery about your deleted post. Not sure what the deleted comment was, but some posts are automatically trashed if they use certain forbidden words like 'i*nvest' in their body or signatures.
The reason is because with your donation you MUST signify that you DO NOT see your donation as a speculative i*nvestment of any kind and that you just altruistically support the development of a cleverly inventive, ingenious system with uncertain outcome. And in reference to what I just wrote, this is not an IPO either.

I cannot escrow any funds without an appropriate money transmitting license, but when the seller signs a message using the address he used for his donation where he confirms the sale and entitles a new owner in the form of a public key, then I can insure you to change the corresponding record in the genesis block irrevocably.

So again Lannister. Where is the code of Project Elastic?

Is there something wrong with you? You have been told multiple times by multiple people that the code is located at https://github.com/OrdinaryDude/elastic-reference-client/. Why are you asking the same questions over and over again?

Where is the code, Lannister?

You display all the hallmarks of a scam. Threating me won't help you in any way, quite the contrary actually.

Project Elastic is a scam, be careful people.

Unless you want a shit load of legal trouble, don't challenge me. Judging by your quotation, you have already found out the correct location of the source code. Asking the same question over and over again won't change anything.
