Re: Would it be good for bitcoin if the government is buying?

I don't know, but I feel like the government just want to control the mass. From what I know, they've been trying to control Bitcoin ever since day one but since it's decentralized, then they know they can't.

This might just be a turn around for them as if they buy and reserve bigger portions of Bitcoin, they can then control it using price. Maybe sell off when ever they wish which in return would cause a very big dump in the market, scaring out the little investors to sell off much quicker.

The main goal of a Bitcoin investor is to invest for the long term. However, some people may not understand the value of their Bitcoin investments and end up spending their money on things that won't bring them profits in the long run.
As we've seen, Bitcoin has proven to be a good investment over time. Even when the market is down, some investors use this opportunity to buy more Bitcoins and increase their holdings. Only those who don't understand Bitcoin would sell out of fear.
New investors should focus on buying more Bitcoins instead of spending their money on unnecessary things. The people we surround ourselves with can influence our investment decisions, and fear can lead to selling at the wrong time.

To avoid making costly mistakes, you can conder,
Keeping separate funds for expenses and emergencies
Seeking financial advice from those who have been in bitcoin investments for long.  Making informed investment decisions
Even though everyone must make their own decisions, but being informed and patient can help you succeed in the long run.

I recently joined this forum to learn more about cryptocurrency. At first, I was reading and browsing through the forum a lot, trying to understand the concepts. I had so many questions and taught about creatin new topics to ask, but then I noticed the search bar at the top of the forum. I tried using it and found that most of my questions had already been answered in previous threads.

Since then, it's been easy for me to find answers to my questions without needing to create new topics. I wanted to share this tip with other new members who may have questions but aren't sure where to start. You can create a new topic to ask your question, but I've found that searching through old threads provides a more comprehensive understanding of the topic.

Think of the forum as a resource where almost everything you can think of has already been discussed. Using the search bar can get you accurate and helpful answers to your questions.

Hello sir or ma, can you please reconsider this? I swear I had not post with an AI, something should be wrong somewhere. Others said I should ask you about the number on my account so you can consider removing it. You can go through my other post, I have not written a single one of them using an AI. It's just not fair and I don't even know how to prove myself at this point.

Please can someone help me understand what the 1 is and the word ai spammer mean on the forum. From my own idea it would mean using AI, but that can't be true as I don't think I've posted with an artificial intelligence app before. How do I remove the Ai comment on my profile. Plus my post which I think was mistakenly deleted, how do I get it back?
AI Spammer goes beyond just copying word-for-word from AI. It could also encompass trying to rephrase or paraphrase information you got from AI and wanting to pass it off as yours. It could also encompass word spinning of AI text, instead of directly copying and pasting from AI. It there are already hard evidence against as shown using some AI tools, and you claim that you have never posted with AI before, you are going to have to prove it to the users who brought such accusations against you. In my estimation, if you did, no need to lie about it, tender your apology and hope that the user who put the Trust will be forgiving enough to hear that you have will change.
These accusations are really not nice. I swear I had not used an AI to post before but someone leaving me a bad name, when I know I didn't do it for real is really wrong. An AI might be wrong and not 100% correct most times. Just by dotting your I and crossing your T's properly doesn't mean it's written by an AI. Im honestly not happy with the accusations everyone is placing on me. I taught this place was supposed to be friendly.

How do I prove to the user that I didn't post with an AI, because honestly if with how you all described the number on my account, it means it's really bad andi want it removed..

Good day BitcoinTalk fellow member.

I was going through my account profile this evening, but it seems something is wrong with it. I tried searching the forum if similar questions have been asked, but couldn't find any.

There's a number close to where it's written TRUST on my profile page and I don't really know what it is or how it got there. I clicked the link and it took me to this other post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5456516.msg65130638#msg65130638 created by someone named Free Market Capitalist.

The post also had some of my post saying AI spammer, which I don't really understand. I tried clicking on the post but I'm not able to find it anywhere, not even on my profile post page. It seems to had been deleted.

Please can someone help me understand what the 1 is and the word ai spammer mean on the forum. From my own idea it would mean using AI, but that can't be true as I don't think I've posted with an artificial intelligence app before. How do I remove the Ai comment on my profile. Well, I expected all these to happen sooner or later. Since trump was elected us president, Bitcoin market had already skyrocketed and now we are above the $100k mark that's really amazing. More countries will start making their own BTC reserve and thus growing it's adoption world wide. I guess they don't even need to wait for the us to get theirs because China is already working on this idea. With all these adoption from world class countries we should expect Bitcoin to get to the $1M in the future that's guaranteed.

You're lying, I just want to get the definition of Bitcoin, but there are no results after I use forum search. Forum search sucks, better to use google or ninjastic.space, you don't need to wait too long and you high likely will get the information you want.

You didn't search it properly. Even at that when you try again you will still see the answer you are looking for. I searched for what is Bitcoin and it gave me https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1997186.msg19888835#msg19888835  check the post on this thread. It's not much but at least it gave an answer.

Re: Which other tools do I need as a Newbie
by
Louce
on 02/08/2024, 08:38:03 UTC

I don't think you need to have more tools, having more applications that installed in your device means the more chance or vulnerability of getting hacked.

Having more applications installed on my device means the more chance of getting hacked.  Though I'm New into the crypto space, I don't know  but I've read somewhere that without someone having access to my secret code that is my passphrase  he wouldn't be able to hack or get access to my wallet.

My question here is "Do you mean my wallet can be hacked even without the person getting access to my Passphrase"?

Some apps carries malwares and some other phishing stuffs I know about. Those things spies on you and will be able to steal your seed phrase ones you download them in your device. Ones the steal it, they will be able to take out your money.

And you called it passphrase, that's not the name I know. It's called a seedphase which your wallet gives to you to Keep safe, after creating it.

From what I read, passphrase is another thing entirely but relates to your seedphrase. Its like an extra key you add to make it more secure.

These are some nice tips friend. It's something almost all traders should be aware of. To add to it, I just wanted to say that you should sometimes remember that the market is a continuous process. Don't chase after it. If you miss a trade today, you will find a better one some other day.
Also, you should learn to minimize your risk and maximum your wins. That a way to be a profitable trader.

For someone who's not into trading, will consistently checking the market update be necessary? You can just hope in once in a while to get the whole gist of it. I read crypto news from https://cointelegraph.com/

Don't fall for such easy scams

Just like the title says, I was back testing some regular trading sites today. And I saw a pretty interesting one which caught my attention. They had claimed to give free 0.043 BTC upon registering as a welcome gift. I was thrilled and wanted to see for my self.  I followed through their sign up process, using some random emails I just maneuver, and it registered me without any verification. So yes, it was true. I saw the 0.0043 BTC welcome bonus. And wanted to try if it were withdraw able. I already knew the only out come of this, which was obvious from the very beginning. I clicked on withdraw and added an address I don't use. And then I burst out of laughter to see that they had requested a deposit of 0.025 BTC before I would be able to withdraw the bonus. It was so obvious a scam but I wonder if there will still be someone so stupid to fall for such lazy scams. There might be people though, our of greed rush into depositing and eventually funds out it is just a scam. So I just wanted to bring this to the forum so someone might learn something from it. Don't be in a haste to make money, always remember that there isn't any free money on the internet. Noone will give you such huge amounts of BTC for free.

I have some pictures I screenshoted from the website, I would love to share but I really don't know how to post pictures on this forum. I see a lot of people adding pictures to their threads but how do I do that? Anyone care to show me so I can edit this post and add it here also for you guys to see.

Re: Do not save logins and sensitive info inside the browser
by
Louce
on 08/07/2024, 08:27:01 UTC

Also Chrome partially does not have this issue if you protect your phone with pin, password, pattern or fingerprint. If you go to chrome where you will see it, you can not know the password without using your device access code to access it. But one thing I disliked about the password manager is that it is online.

If it is malware, I don't think the phone password will stop it from being stolen by the hackers. The phones password will only keep it safe from outsiders. But malware once in your mobile phone might be able to access any unsecured data. I don't know much about how it does it but that's what I think will happen. Chrome will always ask if it should store your data or use it to auto login. So it is the users fault if his data is stolen.

They are much better than storing your passwords in your browser's password manager.

How do I know if my phone has a malware inside? Is there a way of noticing it?

Don't always believe what you see on screen about cryptotrading
by
Louce
on 08/07/2024, 06:41:40 UTC
I've been asking my self this question though as I'm still trying to get my head around it. On the internet, social media you see so many crypto traders posting their trading wins on their profile. They always make it look good on the screen that crypto trading is far more profitable compared to holding. Which from what I've seen it isn't. Traders makes so many losses riding the market wind. So I was wondering why those on social media refuses to let everyone also know about their losses.
I just came to a conclusion that most of these traders on social media didn't actually make it from trading the crypto market and making profits. But got their profits from tricking people into trading with them. I tried clicking on some of the links they provided on their social handles and it took me to their telegram class, where they claim to offer free signals. But then to join the big boys you are supposed to pay a huge sum of money for that class. This tricks are what they play on people and make their money.
I also have a question, how do you identify the real traders from the fake one?

Re: CORRECTING THE NEWBIES' MISCONCEPTION: High Rankers Are Not Bullies.
by
Louce
on 08/07/2024, 06:34:18 UTC
Let me put this in a real life senerio:
As a little baby, you make little mistakes, and your mommy and daddy help you understand what you did wrong. If you listen to them, you won't make those mistakes again. But if you don't listen, you might make even bigger mistakes and grow up thinking it's okay!

It's the same here on BitcoinTalk. If the big guys (highranked members) help the little kids (newbies) by pointing out their mistakes, the little kids should listen and learn. Then, when they become big kids themselves, they can help the little kids too. The her rank people are here to help us as newbies to understand. If they don't answer us, we will never get to learn.

Re: Helpful approach of impossible seed phrase screenshoting

I would not expect all wallets have this nice feature on, hence I would not try my luck at all trying screenshots of my seed phrase.

I have tried this before on my wallet app, but it just displayed a blank image. Though I didn't have any money inside. I also tried on another one and it gave a notification that this action is not allowed. I don't know but I feel like this feature will not stop some stubborn people. Since their phone will not screenshot, they will just use another phone and snap the screen. And it is only going to be their fault if they steal their money.

I too am a newbie here,my own suggestion is for you to keep learning from the beginners&help, also read more on meta and the pinned informations there and if thats not enough for you to counter good knowlegde then try reading from other boards, but the best you can do now is to keep reading and learning from new posts and pinned informations
