Is it worth getting?
by

Hey everyone,

i just found out Iceriver.eu has a new miner coming out and it's called the AE2 and it's built for mining Aleo. The numbers look solid:

- Hashrate: 72 MH/s
- Power Use: Around 1300W
- Efficiency: About 1.8 J/MH
- Noise: Fairly quiet, could even work in a home setup

They say shipping starts mid to late July. What caught my attention is that it's more powerful than the AE1 Lite but still uses much less power than most heavy-duty miners.

I'm thinking of getting one, but wanted to ask:

- Has anyone pre-ordered or seen this is action yet?
- Do you think it's a good choice for Aleo mining this year?
- Would you run this at home or go with hosting?

Would love to hear what you all think. Is the AE2 something worth jumping on in 2025?

Re: Asicprofit dot com - real time data?

I've been using asicprofit.com for a bit and I'm so happy that it is been super duper helpful! It tells me the newest stuff about how much money my ASIC miners are making and it covers a whole lot of coins and setups, way more than other sites I've looked at. I'm so excited that the numbers update every minute, it's so cool to always see the latest stuff right away! It also shows me the power costs and how long I'll need to get my money back which is really awesome for planning. And you know what I absolutely love? There's no annoying ads or pushy junk anywhere, just the info I need, super clear and easy to get. It really feels like a tool made specially for miners like me, not some big, fancy website trying to sell me all kinds of things I don't even need.

hello i was looking arround for a btc miner to make profit but i couldnt find any that make nice profit my budget is €500 does anyone have any tips or advices i can use? Or any specific models?

With €500 to spend, finding a bitcoin miner that really pays off is tricky. I'd look at something like Avalon A1346 with 107 th/s which sound pretty solid. it was released since 2022 and it is still profitable until today. But here's the thing, your electric bill can totally mess with how much you actually make so keep an eye on that. You could also peek at some platforms that make mining easier and promise steady cash, might save you some headaches. Oh and I'd definitely play around with those online mining calculators like the asic profit ones to get a rough idea of what you'd earn. Just make sure to dig into it all before you drop any money on gear or services, don't rush in blind!

Crypto Mining - What's Next?
by

⭐ Merited by Reynaldo (2)
Hey everyone. I've been driving into what's happening with crypto mining lately and I can't believe the shift going on in Nigeria, it's honestly wild! The government there has set aside a massive 2GW of energy just for mining, which is turning the country into a hotspot for big operations. They've got several 200MW projects underway including a 150MW hosting center in an industrial park that even comes with tax breaks which is a smart move. I also heard they're teaming up with local power plants to get direct electricity at great rates for only $0.04/kWh. It really feels like Nigeria is stepping up to be a major player in the global crypto mining scene and I'm curious to see if this could be the next go-to spot for miners like us who are always chasing efficiency and lower costs.

What do you all think about this?

Re: Do not mine only for profit, but to prevent that the network gets hacked
by

The profitability of Bitcoin mining plays a crucial role in preventing attacks. If mining Bitcoin is no longer profitable, it becomes easier for attacks to occur.

There’s little incentive to mine Bitcoin if it’s not profitable. Even if your goal is simply to learn how Bitcoin mining works, it’s reasonable to expect that it will take you at least a week to get a grasp of it, after which you should discontinue your efforts.

In the past, I was concerned about potential attacks, but those days are over. The hash rates are now distributed across various countries and locations, including China, the U.S., Nigeria, and others. It's too late to worry about that now.

Plugging in an outdated ASIC miner won't help Bitcoin if mining isn't profitable. If it’s not generating profit, it doesn’t contribute positively to the network.

I think bitcoin mining has to make money to keep things safe since us miners are the ones checking transactions and stopping bad stuff. If it's not worth it anymore, I worry fewer people like me will stick around and that could make the network shaky. But I love how bitcoin's spread out all over the world, it makes it tougher for anyone to mess with it. Even my old mining gear might not rake in cash but I figure it still helps keep things decentralized if I use it smart. Over time, I've seen bitcoin figure itself out as we all adjust to how the market swings.

Re: Why not just save in Bitcoin?
by

Fiat is flawed, sure. But the way things are right now, Bitcoin is a gamble, not some magic fix.
So, pick your poison.
I would not go as far to say that bitcoin is a gamble but it can't be a magic fix to whatever the issues are in fiat. The thing is fiat's issues are its own alone. Bitcoin is not meant to replace fiat. But it can serve as an alternative. Right now, since bitcoin is not massively adapted by everyone and every country yet it makes it harder to completely make use of bitcoin and use it to its maximum.

Now fiat is still needed no matter how you do not like fiat, it is almost impossible to live normally without some fiat on you. I would like to see someone live with just bitcoin. So no it is not a magic fix but I believe that bitcoin has been reliable and stable enough to not be called a gamble.

I don't see bitcoin as a wild bet but I wouldn't say it's ready to kick regular money to the curb either. Right now, I still need cash because not everyone takes bitcoin, honestly, it's kind of a hassle sometimes when I want to use it. But I love how it's got my back with stuff like no one controlling it and keeping my savings safe when prices go crazy. The more people start using it, the easier it'll get, I bet. It's not some perfect answer to everything but I feel good having it as a solid option in my pocket. I'm excited to see where it goes as more folks jump on board.

Re: As a trader, is it worth consistently trading only BTC?
by
MaxLevCoin
on 04/03/2025, 04:31:40 UTC
As a trader i strongly believe Bitcoin offers stability and dominance which is one of the core reasons why most traders stick to trading bitcoin on the other hand altcoins brings high-risk, high-reward opportunities. The volatility in altcoins presents both risks and opportunities. As a trader, navigating uncertainty strategically can lead to high-reward trades, though for me, I mostly choose to trade BTC while leveraging a good derivatives platform. What about you and which exchange did you use in trading, kindly share with us.

I follow a similar approach prioritizing long term bitcoin accumulation while occasionally trading. BTC's scarcity and increasing adoption make it a solid store of value. I also use platforms like binance for trades but focus mainly on long term growth rather than short term market swings. Altcoins can tempting but bitcoin remains my primary asset.

It looks like the faucet is overloaded due to high demand. i'd suggest waiting a bit and trying again later or checking monad's official channels for updates. Sometimes, community members also share testnet tokens so that might be another option to explore.

Exploring AI in Crypto Mining
by

on 20/02/2025, 07:18:10 UTC
I've been reading about the integration of AI in cryptocurrency mining and came across oneminers AI smart mining feature which claims to boost revenue by 115% through automatic management. Has anyone here experimented with this? I'm curious about your experiences regarding efficiency, profitability and overall performance. is AI the future of crypto mining?

I have concerns about government involvement in bitcoin wallets. One of bitcoin's core principles is decentralization so having the government hold private keys until retirement goes against that. What happens if policies change or if mismanagement occurs? A better approach might be self-custodied bitcoin retirement accounts where individuals can opt in but retain control. I'd be interested in hearing more ideas on how this could work without compromising bitcoin's core values.

Bitcoin's resilience is fascinating and in a way it mirrors the nature of ideas. Once they spread, they're nearly impossible to erase. Even if one version of bitcoin were taken down, another would likely emerge, just like open source projects that refuse to die. But survival isn't just about existing, it's about staying relevant and valuable. The real test will be how bitcoin adapts to future challenges while keeping its core principles intact. What do you think could be its biggest existential threat?

Why am I considered as spammer? What made you think that I am not a real person? I am new to this forum and I would like to share what are my thoughts or ideas in a certain topic. Don't i have the right to use or ask help in different AI tools to create more informative opinions that I can share or might be helpful to the readers? The question isn't just about how much time is left, it is about how financial systems evolve. Btc represents a paradigm shift but change takes time. I see it as an inevitable part of the future whether it replaces fiat or coexicss with it. My approach is to accumulate btc steadily knowing its value is in its principles, decentralization, scarcity and trustless security

What if AI does create a more advanced cryptocurrency? If it can design a self improving blockchain, it could disrupt bitcoin. On the other hand, bitcoin might integrate AI for security, mining efficiency or even governance, making it stronger over time.

Re: The biggest differences between Bitcoin and altcoins?
by
MaxLevCoin
on 17/02/2025, 04:23:11 UTC
Bitcoin is the only truly decentralized and immutable digital asset. While altcoins claim to offer innovation most are just centralized experiments prone to manipulation. Bitcoin's proof of work system ensures real skin in the game, while many altcoins let insiders print toekns out of thin air. The market is flooded with hype driven projects but at the end of the day bitcoin remains the gold standard of digital money. I'd rather hold something truly scarce and battle tested.

Re: Cloud Mining Scams Still Around?
by

Cloud mining often feels like a modern ponzi scheme, too many companies take in new deposits just to pay old users. Without proof of real mining operations, I don't trust them. Instead I focus on self mining or investing in crypto directly to avoid getting caught in potential scams

I've adjusted by using weekends to analyze charts, set alerts and prepare for the Monday liquidity injection. Instead of trading during low volume periods, I focus on identifying key support and resistance levels. This way, I'm ready to capitalize on stronger moves when volume kicks in.

The numbers seem solid.

Have you factored in potential increases in mining difficulty or a drop in ALEO's price? While HODLing profits in bitcoin is a smart hedge, i'd want to see long term projections before calling this a guaranteed win.

I think this is a brilliant move! Bitcoin is becoming more mainstream and Costco is smart to embrace the future of digital payments. Of course, security should be a priority but modern bitcoin ATMs are getting more secure and companies are learning from past incidents. i'm excited to see major retailers accepting crypto in more ways. It's a sign that btc is here to stay. With the right safety measures, this could make crypto more accessible for everyday use.
