Agreed, when its finally working its great, although they need to sort out the iOS installation and the trusted permissions. Once they get it polished it will be a lot better. Are the in game coins tradeable externally down the line, or are they just for demo? Lols im up quite a bit, i want it to be worth something
More useless ICO's. This has no chance in competing or acquiring market share in the e-commerce space.
Any company that sees blockchain a threat to their e-commerce business, will do it themselves and with greater efficiency. You'd need hundreds of millions in funding to do this successfully, and even then, i wouldn't trust any ICO doing this that has to rely on BTT forums for crowdfunding their platform.
Pure ignorance and shortsightedness. There's no mention of any specifics, and the single most important question in e-commerce space, customer acquisition cost, in which they spent 1 paragraph explaining. They basically valued the cost of a customer acquisition, to $10 USD. 10 USD is not going to convert an amazon or ebay customer to Buying.com.

My Consensus: A worthless ICO, may bring you a return on an exchange if you short-sell quickly, but do not hold long term. Ask yourself this single question before investing, would you use Buying.com to purchase?

I dont see this ico as useless. First of all the domain name Buying.com is worth a pretty penny. Their partner/sister company is dropshipper.com which is already huge generates millions. When your involving blockchain in the space of ecommerce or any sector, community is paramount, which is why they have been building their platforms in the ways that they have.
Lets not forget that the ico isnt starting until october.
Any legitimate and fluid company that sees blockchain a threat to their ecommerce business, will buy that startup that offers 2 hour blockchain delivery, opening up markets for the unbanked in underdeveloped areas.
In terms of the $10 customer aquisition, do you see the likes of ebay doing this? no, others, most likely not, but they have the airdrop, they have the bounty they have their contract, and it looks to me like they're spending a lot more than $10 thats for sure. ;-)
Simply having the ability to buy your item there and then with crypto is game changing, maybe not for you, but for many others.

To me, I don't think the pre-sales have much effect on the main sales thus hitting a target or not, shouldn't matter. As a matter of fact, I don't think it is supposed to have a cap in the first place
Well if you look at their whitepaper, they have annoyingly set the softcap in USD, $1,000,000 to be precise.
However if you look at the presale hardcap, it shows 500 ETH.
Therefore you need to convert the ETH into $ to work out what the presale hardcap is, if you look at ETH at its current price, the presale hardcap is 500 eth = $298,724.51.
So the presale hard cap at the moment is about 30% of the overall softcap.

Me too I actually really want a raspberry PI so I can try and mine some HNY tokens, it sounds like it would be a fun project and a nice way to earn some extra tokens.
It is a fun project and i think the reason i am super excited about this project is that I am passionate about cyber security and it gives me joy to see projects based on that using blockchain.

Yeah definitely, I've always wanted to look into mining but I worry when people say it's becoming not very profitable, but I think if you mine bitfence from day 1 it will make you a lot of money due to the tokens potential increase in value.

That would be a good source of funds if they started with individuals to build the trust and base and scale to enterprises. Since in most cases enterprises are hard to access or in other words enterprise are hard to change what they are comfortable with using. So ya to have an accessible store for anyone to buy from using their technology as core would be interesting to see.
I get what you mean, I also like that Bitfence are not just advertising their store to large corporate clients and they also have options for individual/home office customers. It's vital that the store is accessible, I think they should allow anyone to browse their product list and not make customers have to sign up to see their deals.
