Re: STO-Regulierungen in Deutschland?

Hallo qwk,

erst einmal vielen Dank für deine schnelle und informative Antwort  Smiley .

Ich würde dich allerdings bitten, deine letzte Behauptung zu begründen, bzw. zu erläutern wie du zu dieser Schlussfolgerung kommst:

In diesem Sinne schließe ich mich einem "you should be fine" an Wink

Besten Dank & LG

STO-Regulierungen in Deutschland?
by

on 26/10/2018, 10:07:15 UTC

Midoproj

Nachzug:Kriterien eines 'Accredited Investors' in den Vereinigten Staaten (Source: Medium):
accredited investor:
-Earn over $200,000 annually, or $300,000 when combined with the income of a spouse, for the previous two years and with the same expectation for the current year.
-Net worth (or joint net worth if married) of more than $1 million, not counting your primary residence (unless more is owed on the mortgage than the residence is worth).
-Be an institution with over $5 million in assets, like a venture fund or trust.
-Be an entity entirely made up of accredited investors.

[Hierbei sei festzuhalten, dass nur eines der Kriterien erfüllt sein muss, um sich als accredited investor zu klassifizieren]

Hey everyone,

we finally have a chance: SEC just opened the CBOE ETF filing for public comments. Submit your comments on BITCOIN ETF. Make sure to post only genuine comments and play your part in this revolution.

https://www.sec.gov/comments/sr-cboebzx-2018-040/cboebzx2018040.htm

IF YOUR LANGUAGE SKILLS DO NOT SUFFICE FOR QUALITY COMMENTS, DON'T COMMENT AT ALL. NO "MOON LAMBO" SH*T!!

Why is this important?

It will finally enable large investors to participate in a desired and classical way. As a prestage, Chicago released Futures for Bitcoin in November - I will attach a link to a picture file below in which it will be evident what effects it had on price (there are also several articles about this topic).

You can keep your Binance API's (and most exchanges) read-only. This means that no one can use your API to trade with your account and cause something similar to what happened with he Binance "hack".

Thanks a lot, that sounds like the solution I was looking for. Do you happen to know which exchanges support that feature?

Security of portfolio tracking apps
by
Midoproj
on 24/05/2018, 07:53:18 UTC
Hello altogether,

so far I have been tracking my portfolio and every single trade via Spreadsheet. However, as I collect more and more coins I am considering to switch to a portfolio tracking app (Cointracking, Blockfolio, Delta).

As these apps mostly function via APIs, I am a little worried since I can remember that the latest Binance hacking attempt (late Feb, early March, I believe) involved APIs - although I must admit that I am not exactly a tech-literate.

Therefore I wanted to ask, how secure these apps are (especially I was considering Delta) and if I can use them worrilessly?

Regards and thanks

Both twitter and telegram announcements and crypto bot app are good for monitoring your coins for during ico. If it's in an exchange already i use etherscan for the rough estimate of the coin value. But etherscan is somewhat limited, if that's the case i usually resort on checking it on coinmarketcap. Although some project will state where the coins would be listed. But overall, coinmarketcap is the best answer.

Thanks mate, however the problem comes with coins that do not provide a significant marketcap yet. For instance, I was looking to invest in Themis Network post ICO, but realized way too late that it was already trading on HitBTC and IDEX below ICO-price. Once I realized, it was already too late.
Since the market cap was/is too low, it was not listet on CMC.

That's why I'm asking if there was a site that keeps track of all listings. Also of smaller coins. Regards.

Track your investments??

on 04/05/2018, 13:02:01 UTC
Hello everybody,

as an ICO-Investor it is crucial to monitor on which exchange your coins get listed, but I'm struggling to keep up.

So far what I use is:

-Twitter and Telegram announcements of the projects
-Crypto Bot App to get notified in case of listings

But is there a useful site that shows you exactly on what exchanges a certain coin is listed and what price it is being traded? (So far I have been using coingecko, but with all those new smaller exchanges and coins it does not suffice anymore)

Appreciate any help. Have a good one.

Thanks mate.

Do you know if there is a news site or anything similar that keeps you updated?

So far I have subscribed to their newsletter and Telegram Groups, but especially with Telegram it is hard to keep track...

Token Swaps

Hi.

I just found out that with EOS, you have to register your EOS tokens by May 31 or they will pretty much become worth less.

These coin swaps and staying updated are crucial.

My question is, which other coins out there have the same issue as EOS and need to be registered or activated it by a specific date?

Which deadlines have already passed? Trying to figure everything out now, but if you can think of any, it would be greatly appreciated.

Check out the Google spreadsheet for an active, ongoing list of other airdrops that maybe don't suck. I update it daily.

Very interesting will look into it, thanks.

How does GoNetwork check if you shared it via Facebook? The was noch field that requires you to type in your facebook username?

Airdrop info of certain, valid coins?
by

on 09/04/2018, 11:00:40 UTC
With news emerging of eosDAC and the respective airdrop, I was wondering:

How do you stay up to date with upcoming airdrops of certain, successful projects??

Important: I'm not talking about random airdrops of your avarage sh*tcoin - there are apps for that issue; I mean valuable and important ones, like it also was the case with NEO's Ontology

Is there a certain newspage? Or a newsletter you can recommend?

Big thanks in advance.  Cool

Raiden (vs. Plasma?)
by
Midoproj
on 23/03/2018, 12:08:09 UTC
Hello everybody,

I was thinking about investing in Raiden Network (given the current sale situation). However, by reading several articles it became obvious that Raiden appears to be rather endangered.
Firstly because of the loss of reputation due to their ICO and secondly because of the existence of Vitalik's Plasma (which might become Ethereum's Goto solution for scaling - unfortunately I cannot remember the article)

Then on the other hand, there are articles which state that the two are not really direct competitors (source: https://medium.com/@cryptovision/raiden-plasma-and-generalized-state-channels-a84af44bed98 )
Making it hard for me to form a verdict.

Now I wanted to see how others evaluate the situation and whether or not they'd consider Raiden a good investment (pls don't just post because you want to gain activity points).

I appreciate every opinion, even more so if it is founded upon facts that are also expressed.

Have a good one & regards

Anybody looking at Ian Balina's Spreadsheet?
by
Midoproj
on 15/03/2018, 10:03:10 UTC

Salut,

I have specific question regarding the access to Ian's Spreadsheet.

I like consulting it to back my own research and compare our findings concerning specific ICOs.
However (not having accessed it for a longer period of time), when I tried to view it yesterday, I realized that things changed and one has to access it though his Telegram nowadays.
I did so, however, once I tried to view it, it stated "ERROR" in each grading column. Reattempted the procedure several times, the error remained.

Anybody experiencing the same issues - or does even have proposal on how to solve the problem?

Regards and thanks  Cool.

To further tackle the issue - having been there once - if anybody needs help with their posts, or someone to review them, feel free to contact me

I'm a native Germen and have studied English for 6 years at the University of Augsburg, eventually becoming a teacher (Sports/English).

So if anybody wants someone to look over their post, just PM me - don't worry it is completely free. I ve been at rock bottom once and do know how the language barrier can be an immense obstacle - therefore it is enjoyable for me to help others - which is why I became a teacher after all.

Only requirements : Pls make an effort to at least get the point across, I cannot create your post for you from zero. Also keep it at a reasonable length.

I'm mostly online from 9-12am MET.

Cheers and no need to feel ashamed!  Wink

Re: Hype Indicators for speculative flips - as well as its problems nowadays

Hey MoonIsBlue

What do you understand under low marketcap though? I'm seeing some ICOs that are relatively unknown go 10x on an exchange and they raise 30-50M. I think ICOs just do well when the overall market is doing really well.

completely agree - the power of the overall market is undeniable (as we could witness the last two day).

Concerning the Hard Cap itself there are a few factors to take into consideration:

1) As the Hard Cap allows the estimation of the total mcap of a project, it is important to know how much of the total % of tokens the investor is to pay for (let's assume the Hard Cap for 50% ist 15Mil - then the total mcap would be at 30mil) - then it is advisable to compare to projects in the same space and their respective mcap, which allows the estimation of whether or not the demanded sum makes sense (Note here: sometimes tokens are locked away and often not included in the Hard Cap!)

2) It depends on the size of the project - for instance if an entire new blockchain is to be created, then I'd view anything below 35Mil (by now, as trend is clearly pointing towards higher caps...) as appropriate (e.g. take a look at Neuro) - with a plain app this sum would obviously be too high.

Of course there are other factors that also apply to ICOs in general: Teamexperience - Size of the team - Stage of the product (MVP; Alpha; Beta) - Partners - Competition , but describing all of them would blow this thread out of proportion.

Note: This only reflects my personal opinion and experience and is not meant to be taken as a guide or general rule of thumb that promises succes. In fact, feel free to disagree. As everyone should, I always love getting to know a different perspective and learning a thing or two.

Hope everything makes sense. Kind regards

Hype Indicators for speculative flips - as well as its problems nowadays
by
Midoproj
on 07/03/2018, 10:55:03 UTC
Cheers Mates,

As it can proof to be profitable in the short term to flip the right ICOs, it is essential to know what works and what doesn't.

To me the most important indicator for a probable flipping candidate is the combination of great hype and low hard cap .

Whereas, it can be relatively easy to determine the hard cap of an ICO (icodrops.com - or better, the whitepaper) - unless they decide to change it in the course of the ICO - the measurement of hype on the other hand can be quite a challenge to identify.

So far checking their twitter, telegram (facebook not so much in my experience) and last but not least, the respective thread in this forum has prooven to be quite reliable. However, lately it has become a trend to force people in the telegram and twitter realm in the channels for the purpose of free airdrops (which is what a lot of people are after - not more), which waters down the reliability of the amount of followers as a hype indicator.
Also, Twitter slowly begins to tackle crypto-related activities on its platform, potentially erasing it as an indicator (e.g. : https://www.coindesk.com/twitter-pledges-action-crypto-scams-account-shadow-bans/ [a lot of thought leaders getting blocked])

These aspects make an estimation of the actual hype around a project increasingly more difficult.

If someone can think of an indicator I overlooked or the solution to one of these problems, I'd appreciate pushing me in the right direction.
Have a good one.

Re: Secret of Happiness
by
Midoproj
on 02/03/2018, 10:09:52 UTC
Hello Mohsin,

clearly I'd say it is the power of perspective. It depends on how you interpret your personal situation, meaning what you focus on.

Let me explain:
Let's assume one is a millionaire.

Scenario a)
The person solely focuses on money and networth, since this is, according to his/her beliefs, what makes people superior, which ultimately is his/her goal - superiority.
Then this person will for sure be happy, at least for a time, then perspective and focus may change and the situation might have to be reevaluated.

Scenario b)

The millionaire focuses on relationships and bonds with other individuals (could even be the person from scenario a) after a while and a shift in focus). Therefore money alone is not what satisfies his request for healthy relationships. Hence, - if he has a bad reputation, shitty friends or no friends at all- he will not be happy, despite having a million $.

Luckily, a shift in focus can be done willingly. But most of the time occurs unconsciously.
You see, happiness is a matter of interpretation of the circumstances. For me it helps to consciously look at (=focus) what I have in life (family, friends, love of my life) - which is a great base to start conquering your goals, as a certain "base happiness" is set, boosting your confidence.
However, would I solely focus on the goals I want to achieve, without taking into account what incredible goods I already have, it would result in me being unhappy, as I usually fail in the first attempt of achieving my goals and worst of all: I'd likely neglect the ones I have and and am greatful for, as there would be no room for them in my focus, ultimately resulting in loosing them. That loss could later result in unhappiness, as focus could shift to loneliness, which I would then have to experience.

I hope this superficial answer gets the point accross a little bit, although I might have drifted off a little.
There are great books about this topic.

Best wishes
