Re: Reprogram USB Erupter just to flash LED

With a little more research I found this schematic of the usb.  Not sure if complete/offical but it shows that the LED is connected to BE chip at Pin 25 V3P3. http://openschemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/BE_USB.sch_.pdf

I think my previous attempt was incorrect. Because now the light doesn't go off. Must had just been a loose connection.

So guess I need to learn how to get the firmware of the usb erupter to make it simulate hashing to get that pin/led to blink.

Anyone know what I need for Atmel studio to compile the firmware?  Is it out in the wild some where? I've looked at the bfg code but not sure if its hidden in there some where.  Seems to be whats needed to run on windows and linux.

I know can be easier to make a flashing light circuit.  But was looking for some thing to do with these extra usb erupters and can be fun figuring out stuff like this Smiley

Reprogram USB Erupter just to flash LED

Hello,
I'm wanting to reuse a usb erupter to make it into a LED flasher.

I've figured out how to use arduino uno and get code into the at tiny chip but it only turns the LED off.

Is the LED connected right to the ATMEL chip and what pin?   I use pin 8 in code and it makes the LED go off but it won't blink.

Does the LED get turned on by the BE chip?

Maybe I have to use a real AVR programmer and just C instead of the arduino method?   I thought it would be cool necklace.

Good day.

Hello,
I need to see about getting service of my S1 from order 664. Chain 1 stops working after a short period.  I have to turn off power supply to make it work again. Then chain 1 stops again. At first I thought it might had been the power supply but, after trying another PSU, I am still having the trouble.  I have used this second power supply on a different S1 and both chains stay running 24/7 with it.

I tried to get information on this from the chat box on the web site when there was suppose to be someone there but never received a response.

Good Day.

Do they watch this any more?  I also sent a request to your email.  Really need a response soon to get fixed.

Sigh two days later and still no response on how to get service with this 90 Day warranty.  I guess the warranty is crap.  I've tried through this, the web site and with the jg@112bit.com email address.   Does anyone have have another email address to use for them?  Since I've gotten my request posted here and submitted via the 112 web site, I consider that before the 90 days time and will be bugging you till I get some answer.

Well took some badgering but finally got RMA information and was able to send back board.  Getting like pulling teeth with them.  Some seem to get help right off and others have to do a lot to get it.  I never got a reply when they had S1s on how to use discount or compensation they offered me.  Even sent email to that jg email address.

So have everyone gotten tracking information from 112bit?  I ordered last week and was told on the 7th first it was being shipped but then updated it wasn't till the 9th.  But they still hadn't provided me with shipping info. They say its suppose to arrive today but its already late here and I normally would received a UPS package by now.

But does look like people have received their miners even though some had problems with their devices?

Hello

Can you inform me your order number to check the status?

Regards

Juan

It's 664

Your order was included in the Shipping List May 9th. I will ask shipping team for your UPS Tracking number. Will inform via PM

Was a bit disappointed I didn't receive shipping info till day I received (May 14th).  But did receive so that is good an have it mining.

I apologize shipping team delayed to send us the lists with the tracking info of every order.

We do not delay the shipping but sometimes this may happen and we are working to make it more efficient.

We are shipping on time every day we need to do it better but 99% of the ASIC producers can't ship in time.

Anyway I promise we will fix this issues, I hope we can compensate you in some way for the future.

Regards

Juan

Good to hear on improvements. It will take me 2 weeks to be ready to buy next but, I hope to take advantage of compensation then.

I'm going to try the http://fer.altcryptomining.com.

I got in as number 10 for their %0 fee thing. Unless first user was 0? Sad

Well I'll see. I haven't gotten lucky with any new coins yet.  Be nice to even make 1k USD with one.

Ferengi would had liked Gordon Gekko "Greed is good".

I think there was one DS9 episode where Ferengi found the 20th century stock exchange like heaven or such?
