ICO Statistics: Countries, Traffic, and Investors
by
OhMyCoin
on 23/03/2018, 12:06:42 UTC
When it comes to working with various ICOs, I often face the issues of traffic and targeting. Some teams exclude the US, some are Asia-oriented, the others place a stake at Europe.
Where do most ICOs get traffic? From cooperation with media sources specialized in cryptocurrencies and blockchain. Those can be globally divided into two categories: news resources and ICO listings.
We tried to analyze a traffic from most popular resources and find how it influences the investments in ICOs.

You can find more statistics in my article on Medium or Steemit.

I have two questions to the community:
1. Where do you usually look for new ICOs except bitcointalk?
2. Where did you find the ICO in which you have invested?

[ANN] BETEX P2P Binary Options — $4,360,000 raised
by
OhMyCoin
on 04/12/2017, 13:56:52 UTC
The first P2P Binary Options Platform powered by smart contracts.
The ICO has raised $4,360,000.

*** This thread was posted in behalf of the Betex team, please address them regarding the project ***

About Betex

Powered by Ethereum smart contracts, Betex brings indisputable transparency, fair conduct, and audible results to the binary options trading.
With Betex, traders will be placing bets against each other and never against platform providers or any other intermediaries. Built with Blockchain technology, unlike traditional platforms, Betex will provide access to real-time data, thereby, ensuring absolute transparency of its system. So there is no doubt that all users are treated equally and fairly.

Users will be forming one large common pool of liquidity for each underlying asset in order to maximize users' gain. The platform's commission will be 5% only, the liquidity will be derived from a common pool of brokers, and brokers themselves will integrate into the platform via the white label mechanism. This is the only platform, where as much as 95% of funds are distributed among traders who make correct assumptions. 2.5% (half of the platform's commission 5%) of the total platform turnover will be distributed among the holders of BETEX tokens, accordingly to the number of tokens they own.

  • Accepted currencies: ETH, BTC

The pre-sale of the BETEX tokens will take place under the SAFT (Simple Agreement for Future Tokens) agreement.

BETEX Token Sale

BETEX token sale started on March 1, 2018 and will last until April, 15th or 3,000,000 BETEX is sold out.
Token price will be $3. Hard cap is $9,000,000.
All participants will go through KYC, minimal buy is 0.5 ETH.

The token will be registered with SEC after ICO ends, after which the trading and immediate payouts will start.

MVP

We built two versions of the platform to provide you with a better understanding of the concept behind a common pool of liquidity and to demonstrate how it actually works.

Each trading interval consists of two sub- intervals: during the first one, traders bet on the growth or lowering of the rate (5m), and after the second one (25m), the platform determines the winners and distributes the bets of the losers between them.

Joined the Pre-ICO, I see huge potential in this project, the lottery idea is fantastic

The idea is really incredible. No influence from a third party and you need to guess only a winner, not a score.

It may probably solve some issues, but not all of them. If a person doesn't have Internet connection, no Bitcoin will save them.
But I believe it can drive economics of the country which will lead to new working places.
Will it work in other developing countries? Maybe...

Re: After 21M have been released, then what?
by

Yes, transactions will still need to be processed somehow, so miners won't be left without a job.
And, till 21m are released, we still have time to figure out what to do next and make Bitcoin more mainstream. End of Bitcoin issuing is not the end of the world.

Re: Exchange with lowest withdraw fee
by
OhMyCoin
on 14/02/2017, 11:39:52 UTC
I do most of the trading on CEX. Withdrawal fee of $3.8 (or 3.5 for eur) seems genuine considering the amounts I withdraw and more over other exchanges charge 3-5%. Of course, if you are withdrawing $20 it seems much but it is better than other exchanges.  As for legitimacy, I've been using cex for a long time, and have particularly withdrawn money to cards about 20 times, everything was ok

I'm withdrawing about 200eur per week. Reason I ask this is because I stumbled on Circle or some other exchange with 0 withdraw fee. Anyway how much are you withdrawing with Cex ? Anyone had any large amount of money on their exchange ?
Well, it all depends. I am verified on CEX.IO, so I can withdraw up to $3,000 daily and $30,000 monthly, but the largest amount I cashed out for one transaction was $2,500. As the withdrawal was to VISA card, the fee was $3.80, which is a dust compared to the amount.

Re: Which is the best place to buy BTC with Credit Card (Visa Electron)
by
OhMyCoin
on 05/09/2016, 11:15:56 UTC
Isn't visa electron a particularly tricky card? I had a friend who had one who seemed to have serious trouble getting it accepted quite often.

Yes Visa electron is a debit card. Not a credit card. Visa itself sucks too. Get a MasterCard it is the best. I had so many damn troubles in the past because of the stupid Visa. Went to Mastercard 3 years ago, not a single problem had since then.

Cex.io also looks to be trusted but i didn't like the deposit/withdraw fees tbh.

Well, $3.80 per withdrawal is not expensive at all. Haven't seen lower fees anywhere else

Looks absolutely insecure. Won't change cex.io to this one, especially when they lowered fees for card payments and upgraded pci dss sertificate to a higher level.
I personally need nothing more when it comes to buying btc using mastercard.

I still use CEX.IO. Always can load funds with a credit card fast. I only lack a mobile app, but their support said it would be out soon.
I recommend if you're searching an exchange, where you can fund account and withdraw money trouble-free.
