I believe some of these problems stemmed from our slow customer support during the November/December time frame. We were swamped with the 10-fold price increase. This has now been fixed! Our SMS provider Authy was being marked as spam by Verizon. Thanks for your patience while we worked this out!

Olaf from Coinbase here. You all are correct - our ACH withdrawals were delayed by a couple days. I apologize for the trouble - the funds are likely en route to your bank accounts now!

Sorry for the confusion here. We use machine learning algorithms to prevent fraud and they're not always 100% accurate. If you feel you've had a transaction cancelled incorrectly send support an email. We regularly review transactions and push them through at the original purchase price upon request. Hey guys - sorry for the undue worries here.

In short, we had a syntax error in the ACH file we submitted to the bank last night.  By the time we corrected it, the "bank cutoff" for the day had already past, although we submitted it only half an hour or so later.  The net effect of this is what you're currently seeing - orders marked as "completed" because we have actually sent the instructions to the bank but they won't be processed until this evening when the bank does their daily processing.  One of the unfortunate downsides of working within the traditional financial system (and their very old codebase), and why I love Bitcoin.

Wanted to make sure you guys understood what was going on!

Sorry for the trouble here! We had a bug that caused both of your bank transfers not to start. It has now been fixed and shouldn't happen again. My apologies for the trouble with this! Our node got out-of-sync with the blockchain last night, causing transactions to not be broadcast to the network and remain in the Pending state too long or not appear in users' accounts. We're fixing this right now, and all these transactions should be broadcast and confirmed over the next couple hours.

In the longer term we're working on revamping our node so this type of thing doesn't happen in the future. Thanks for your patience while we fix this.
