The only delay is that you won't know you have any rewards (and therefor be unable to request them) until 1 hour after a block solves.
This is exactly what I was trying to get at. I wasn't paying 2.5% to see some numbers on a page, I was paying to be able to instantly request those rewards. By preventing me access to the rewards I've earned 'til after one hour what incentive is there for me to keep donating?ZING!

If anything those who are "butt hurt" are the ones who applaud this move by Urethra. I'm not a "pool hopper" but sure enough because I don't agree with this move I'll be called one. I liked having real time stats as it was easy for me to see the progress. Now thats an impossibility. IDK how this could be seen as a good thing? Not even close to the noble move of restricting the bots. I'm sure my 1GH/s won't be missed in the grand scheme of things but me moving to another pool is my only way of protest. Enjoy your lagging stats.

The (Not so) "Wild" West was actually a very pacific time. Movies needed action and shots, but its not how reality was.
Maybe not (I'm no historian) but the analogy from the movies stands.

The account balance of the botnet has been donated to Bitcoin Faucet.
While I enjoy the "revenge" and "justice" of denying them their money, I think that legally, it was not the proper thing to do. Courts decide how to award damages, not site owners.
Not in this wild west reenactment.
What do you suppose a court would rule anyways? That all the BTC generated should go to the botnetted computers? How? Whats your solution? IMO only one option was available and that was exercised by BTC Guilds site owner.
Yeah thats what I'm asking. The stats on the page say that I haven't been credited although you are saying those stats will be updated at some point. I'm fine with that just didn't wanna work for free

My crossfired 5830's have the same issue as your 6990. One is pretty constant and the other is all over the place. It doesn't matter which is in the 1st PCIe slot it still happens. Annoying so I try not to look lol Another anomaly is intermittently getting "connection problems" with that second adapter. I'll get home from work to find out it hasn't been running for hours. I was hoping the switch to some form of linux would fix this?

I will eventually attempt to overclock it some more, but want to verify stability at this level.
Things that I found are bad:
1. Having Catalyst Control Center installed. If I got a crash, the next time I rebooted, CCC would attempt to set ridiculously low clock speeds, which would immediately crash the computer again. Gone.
2. Attempting to underclock the memory while the miner is running. This caused crashing when I dropped the memory below 500. Now I am down to 300-314 without issue.
Things that are good:
1. Installing SDK 2.1 in place of 2.4 boosted hashrate by up to 10 MH/s.
2. Slightly increasing the fan speed using a custom profile in Afterburner helped reduce the temperature to a more comfortable setting.
2. Dropping memory clock to about 1/3 of core clock: lowered temperature by another 7-10 C.
3. Increasing memory clock by 14 after setting it to 1/3 of core clock: increased hashrate by 1-2 MH/s.
Things that made no difference:
1. Installing Catalyst 10.11 in place of the latest version. (I verified that the driver version was correct in device manager).

I had been searching for this solutions for days. You are awesome! My GPU thanks you with its cooler temps!

I'm an idiot for Ubuntu but did you set the device path? IIRC 0.1 would be the first device? 0.2 second? I wish there was a noob friendly tutorial for idiots like me. I've gone through the Natty Narwahl tutorial but it fails to mention (in the OP at least) how to set up poclbm. How do you set up a wallet in Ubuntu? Use your current one? How do you download the blocks? I have so many "noobish" questions. Currently in Windows and running ok but would like to run Ubuntu in a virtual machine. Good luck. I hope someone responds to you (and me if I'm lucky).
