I see two possible reasons to invest in this compared to publicly traded REITs.
1) Tax avoidance. Payments to investors are in BTC.
2) Invest micro cap company that has more growth potential

One of the better offerings on Havenlock but I already have lot of money in REITs so I will pass. Also as this is currently USD based business, I am more interested in publicly traded REITS(with burden and benefits of regulation).

What is the minimum payout limit for the alt coins?
1 or 0,0000001? (or something in between)?

~ Luc

Depends on coin. Doge and MOON are 1000, EAC is 50 and the rest are 1.

Does your 850 even have enough pci-e connectors?
Gaming eats a lot more power than hashing.

Yes, but that is only because CPU power in gaming.

Yes but you must separate 12V lines from two PSUs . Meaning you must have 3 molex risers with 12V lines cut so that the new PSU only powers the three new cards. Without separating 12V lines PSUs might start to oscillate and break.

But be sure to undervolt cards!

Is it just me or do you think electricity cost of 0.45$/kWh is quite big?
It says it here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjI5bgsiFJAidFBsclpVM0FSdFZNalRGNnVlc0VxSGc&usp=drive_web#gid=1

I myself pay about 0.14-0.16$/kwh in Finland.

CryptX is based in Belgium where they are being r*ped by electricty companies. Price is 0,23 € on average -> 0,3 $ /kWh ... Not the best place to build a farm in the world.

Then yes, 0,45$ is anormally big

Ok. Noted that we have very good nordic electricity market in Finland(together with sweden, norway and denmark)  and competition is good for consumers. Actually Finland took electricity tax away from data centers last year to lure more of them here.(google already brought their gmail servers here)

The last nail to the coffin. 25MH/s price is now about 8k€ for EU customers! I was going to order one but this VAT / import shit bounced the price too much.

My Biggest issue here Alpha is that you base your price of GPU prices.

If they shipped now, price would be ok. But to ship in Q2 or even Q3 would mean that price should be lower. Also there is no resale value with purpose built miners. Therefore price should be considerably lower compared to gpu.  Of course power consumption is lower but there is almost zero performance advantage in calculation power compared to GPU for the price. With current prices electricity cost is about 10% of the scrypt income. Therefore income has to shrink to 10% from current levels before GPUs stop coming to hashing!! There is also other scrypt asics in development but no anything close to shipping date from others.

Edit:6 month warranty is also no good when it takes over a year to make profit

1000khash was just a example, I calculated my 2900khash & I'm getting about 50% of what others with 2900khash are getting.

Not sure if it's beacause my R9 290 has Thread concurrency: 27000, 29000, 29000. I: 20, 20, 20. -g 1 1 1.?
The above is what I have in cgminer, I think I read somewhere that these altcoins need lower values compared to litecoin?
should I put  Thread concurrency to 8192 and I 13, -g 2?

I think those stats are cumulative? Therefore there are large differences on last hour hash rate and paid BTC.

From the graph on the site we can see that trades have occurred steadily during the day as previously it was more or less one trade session a day.(just look at blue "curtain curve" and points where red one spiked previously)

Clearly manager also hedges the trading in this pool. So some coins will stand waiting for "trade maturity" or better rates. Of course time to time strategy might fail. I am planning on testing this pool at least for a week before I know anything.

What you think happened here? :
"Calculated Profitability (last 24hr)   0.43 for srypt"

Not very good stats Smiley Or is it calculated with some average exchange rate? Mostly DOGE was only mined and exchange rate of which has fluctuated a lot.

Edit: I noticed after 5min the value has increased to 0.73 when server switched to LKY. So I guess I don't have to worry about this number:) ?

I tried changing worker difficulty but it cgminer constantly reports 32, no matter what I set on the website. Is this right?

And my 2c to profitability discussion:
Multipool.us whole idea is about optimum mining. If you believe there can be larger than 1.5% profitability differences between the currencies on average, Multipool.us is more profitable than mining in 0% fee pool. I gladly pay for the service but I currently only mine scrypt.

However compared to dedicated pools, Hashrate reported on the site is 10% to 20% lower than on dedicated pools. I have quite crappy setup It is still making me money Smiley

My 770GTX produces 330kH/s at  -i 0 -C 2 -m 1 -H 2 -l K16x16 (shitty CPU does not like -H 1 Smiley )

However for 24h operation I had to lower voltage and underclock to get temps stabilize to 79 degrees of Celsius.(I will optimize this later) With underclock I get 300kH/s.

Re: Multipool.us worker difficulty settings issue?
by

It says this on the site and there is drop down many to select it to each worker.
"*Scrypt coin difficulty: min = 16 max = 512."

 I will test your suggestion.

I didn't notice any change. But I don't really care because everything works quite well. Thanks anyway!

Multipool.us worker difficulty settings issue?
by
Raitzi
on 19/12/2013, 17:30:39 UTC
Hi,

I have problem that my workers all seem to be at difficulty setting 32 no matter what I set from the website.
cgminer says.. "connected to pool1.us.multipool.us diff 32 with..."  I have tried restarting miner, deleting workers, and created new ones but still the same.

Am I interpreting this right, or can I even see difficulty setting from cgminer?  Or maybe I did something illegal to put me in this position Smiley

Sorry that I posted here but I have no rights to real multipool thread.

Great forum btw!
