Re: $2 loan in Bitcoin.

I need $2 in Bitcoin, not cash. I'm not fucming broke, I've got money but I can't be fucked exchanging it. It takes so long these days, and for $2 it's not worth the hassle.
There are many ways to buy bitcoins. Did you try looking at localbitcoins?

If you had started browsing faucets when I posted about it you would have $2 worth of bitcoins by now.

I'm not a lifeless retard, I have thugs to do. Do you know how many hours it'd take? I have better things to do than faucet farm like a hobo.

I don't think anyone mentioned anything about being a lifeless retard.  I'm wonder what could you possibly need to purchase with $2 that would warrant a loan request?

I want to buy a service. I'd pay with PayPal but I got limited a few months ago due to some bullshit.

No one cares about your opinion either you illiterate cunt, go spam on another Lending section thread.
Your Negative Trust is the proof so good luck next time and lock your thread dude.

I'm not going to fucking scam for $2. And what the fuck do you mean "100% interest rate??"? It's two fucking dollars, not a hundred.
Who mention you to pay-back $100 dollars? , they meant 100% interests from your 2 dollars so you pay back $4 . It's incredibly Insane offer in the loan history , better to make a loan to your friends or bank and you can make the promise like you said to them.

No Collateral No Loan .!

Again, you too ar  retarded. Do you fucking comprehend what you write before you post it? I'm not going to a bank for two dollars. I have cash, but getting it into Bitcoin is hard. 100% interest is nothing when it's $2, dumbass.

Please lock the thread and go ahead and leave.  There is no one here who is going to loan to a newbie to begin with, let alone someone who just opened this account to ask for a $2 loan.  No one cares aout your opinion either.  Lock thread.

Oh wait, you already are.

@everyone

I'm not going to fucking scam for $2. And what the fuck do you mean "100% interest rate??"? It's two fucking dollars, not a hundred. Obviously I'm going to offer a decent rate if someone helps. I'm not living in fucking India. Whatever, I guess most of you would rather kill a human than lost a few cents dollars so I'm not bothered?

Old Robertt trying to build reputation by asking smaller loans again.Give up already.Anyone willing to fund the loan request must consider his previous profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=704654 ,he is a known scammer around. Please don't encourage scammers by providing them services.Funding one request will allow him to use it as a tool to ask for a bigger one next time.

I'm not building my profile. I need a $2 loan for a service which I am going to pay back, and I'm leaving the forum. If you're just going to spam, please leave.

Hi there, I'm in need of a short term $2 loan. I recently fucked up and lost access to all my devices except for this iPad so I don't have my old Bitcoin wallets with me.

I'm in need of $2 for a purchase. I'll be able to pay you $4 in one week.

Thanks. I don't have collateral, if you're going to spam for your signature please don't bother as I'm not interested in seeing shitty posts being made for a few cents. If you have $2 and want to lend me it, okay. If not, leave.
I don't think you get even .01 $ without collateral so its batter to lock the thread right now if you don't want to get some negative feedback from DT members and if you provide any valid collateral I can fund this loan without interest

I'm sick of you spammers. I don't give a shit about your opinion, sorry to say it but go spam somewhere else.

"if you're going to spam for your signature please don't bother as I'm not interested in seeing shitty posts being made for a few cents. If you have $2 and want to lend me it, okay. If not, leave."

I literally said don't post if it's shit like that.

Re: WHAT WILL I DO WITH MY FIRST BTC 0.00017306
by

on 02/10/2016, 14:35:36 UTC
what can i do with my first btc 0.00017306
can i invest with it. how can i make it grow.
thanks

I don't want to disappoint you in the beginning of your journey but seriously think about this for a moment. you have 10 cents and you are asking how can you invest this amount and grow it?!!

I don't know if you are sincerely asking this or is this a trolling attempt since your account is brand new too. but even if you by any chance found a way to invest this amount you have to pay at least 0.00013000BTC as your transaction fee to transfer this amount to the place you want to invest it so you will be left with 0.00004306BTC which is now 2 cents.

so my question from you is that are you that poor that you cant afford to buy $10-$50 worth of bitcoin and then work on that?
common man your last paragraph sounds harsh. besides if i had that little to buy i would not be wasting my time on faucet. but nevertheless thanks

Like he said above, it's not harsh; it's the truth. If everyone lets you think that 1 cent is a lot, you'll waste your most valuable resource on basically nothing. You know what the resource is? Time. Time is money. The more time you throw away trying to get a small amount of money is time wasted that you could have used to get a job somewhere, to read up on some books/PDFs, to learn a skill and earn money. I came from a pretty average family. Not too rich, not too poor. When I was 14 I made $10,000. Of course, I lost it because I wasn't really bothered with my security and I got hacked but that's beside the point. If you can learn, you can make money.

Do NOT waste your time on faucets. Shooting someone in the face would do more good than wasting time on a faucet.

All I need is some Bitcoin so I can waste my weekend up and gamble.  I'm not interested in scamming anyone. That shit is pointless. Why would I do it here and not on Paxful?

title says it all.

escrow will be used. you'll give them the bitcoins, I'll send you the PayPal, we go our seperate ways.

Lol and after you chargeback and you have free money, the escrow is usless and can not help in that case.

Try websites like virwox or wesellcrypto.

Not everyone is poor enough to scam for small amounts.

WeSellCrypto is $15 and Virwox makes you wait a lot for shitty rates.

Re: Hacked BitcoinTalk Data Finally Surfaces On Dark Net

The forum's hashes, while not uncrackable given weak passwords, are far stronger than those used by almost every other site.

I guess I'd agree with that. I think that one extra step of security would be to have implemented a custom salt for every users password which would increase the difficulty of increasing the passwords.
Also, from StackOverflow:

Quote
Bcrypt really shines for online attacks, if you have set the work factor properly, because even if I get the hash, meant to say if the 'adversary' gets the hash, the work factor makes it really painful to go through an entire dictionary, taking multiple days and if the password isn't in the dictionary, then I'm really in trouble cause a brute force attack will be epic, the password bit space for bcrypt is quite large though finite Smiley

Sha256 may be taking a bit of time now, but eventually computers will get faster and faster and it'll be fairly easy for attacks, the unix guys thought crypt was so slow it would have never being an issue, and today I have done an online attack in seconds, offline attack in days, a brute force attack (going through the entire password bit space) in weeks ...

Quote from: theymos
The forum uses sha256crypt with rounds=7500

Not all of the passwords in the database leak had that encryption :p

At the end of the day, you could implement the strongest algorithm but if users are stupid enough to use their password more than once and even worse, on a site that stores passwords with in plaintext or in a weak algorithm like message digest 5 (MD5), they deserve to be hacked. Like honestly how hard is it to use a different password by even changing 1-2 parts of your password.

Re: Confirmed DDoS attack on Bitcointalk: Who did it?

I vote for "Angry Kid." Most likely someone just showing off or testing out the power on their newly bought booter from Hackforums. No government would ever bother attacking a website as small as Bitcointalk (well unless something was to happen between them and theymos.) Since it was a few hours long, I wouldn't say it was some random person though since the amount of resources or the price required for a three hour running attack wouldn't be too cheap. Maybe someone with a vendetta against Bitcoin?

Let me just say that the encryption algorithm could've been stronger. For example, bcrypt or something like what Wordpress implements. Now THOSE are some tough hashes to crack. Hell, even cracking the password "123411" with a bcrypt hash would take up too many resources for the average person.

This leak however contained two different algorithms from what I'm aware. SHA1 & something that looks like this.

Password: $5$rounds=7500$bOzfMJtV+ltz8dF+$jeWxjkMFW8Dv389us5iJ5KSBmb8wjkZOhns4UGeMpp.

A SHA1 hash is just 64 characters of numbers and letters. They are much easier to crack. However, the algorithm in this case doesn't matter if you had an easy password such as 1-10 numbers, a bunch of letters, or if your password was in a wordlist.

Password: $5$rounds=7500$bOzfMJtV+ltz8dF+$jeWxjkMFW8Dv389us5iJ5KSBmb8wjkZOhns4UGeMpp
Once you crack that (took me a few seconds) you'll get this as the plaintext password.
'22362236'

$5$rounds=7500$bOzfMJtV+ltz8dF+$jeWxjkMFW8Dv389us5iJ5KSBmb8wjkZOhns4UGeMpp:22362236

And the fact that many of you are probably in other database leaks and use the same password makes it even easier for someone to compromise your account. Good thing for you guys is that no one gives a shit about Bitcointalk accounts so you're all probably safe for now.
