Board Speculation (Altcoins)
Re: Future of Altcoins
by

Bitcoin and other coins from 5 will play a leading role in the cryptocurrency market in the near future. But I don't think their price will rise much. Perhaps on small altcoins it will be possible to earn more.

If you look closely at the history of CMC you will see that the top of CMC was changed over the years several times. Only Bitcoin was on the first line. And I definitely don't agree with the fact that Bitcoin will not increase much in price. I think that it will be Bitcoin that will grow stronger than all other coins (with rare exceptions) in the next bull run.

Re: Do I buy bitcoin or litecoin?
by
Sanderion
on 29/01/2019, 18:59:01 UTC
If you have $150 betetr you buy or invest your money at litecoin, how ever buy or invest at bitcoin is not good solution with your money too small, you can invest at litecoin because price still lower and you have much profit later when price is up.

How does the amount of investment affect which coin you are going to invest in? With this logic, it is best to buy a scam coin that costs 1 satoshi and wait for a miracle. I would recommend buying Bitcoin, especially if you are a beginner and you can’t distinguish a truly worthwhile project from a fraudulent project which is a lot on the market.

Re: Is USDT Tether safe?
by
Sanderion
on 29/01/2019, 18:55:30 UTC
Since binance and okex are using it, I would use it too, I know it has been a bit shady recently but we need to use some stable coin anyway , There are many stable coins these days and I use TUSD too, I don't know which one is better actually!

I can't agree with your logic about Binance and Okeks =) I think you should not blindly follow these exchanges. As for Tether, I think this is a fairly reliable coin. In my opinion, all the negative news about Teter was more of a manipulation. If something really bad happens to Tether, then the whole cryptocurrency market will have huge problems, and no one is interested in that.

Re: Is regulation good or bad?
by
Sanderion
on 28/01/2019, 19:07:23 UTC
for me regulation of course brings us better for the future.
all regulations in my opinion will be good if we obey and respect them. there are no regulations that make us worse off.

The fact is that by introducing regulation into the cryptocurrency market you are killing the main ideas of cryptocurrency. Sad Crypto platforms should be self-regulating and this should be embedded in the platform code. Thus, all decisions will be made collectively by voting. Regulation = centralization, while cryptocurrency = decentralization. I'm not sure that cryptocurrencies can be regulated and not killed. Huh

Re: Low market makes ICOs cheaper
by
Sanderion
on 28/01/2019, 19:02:27 UTC
Now very bad popularity at ICO. I think that the low price of ICO will give a chance for investment. This will attract investors. However, with this market position, it is very difficult to force investors to make their investments

Despite the fact that projects reduce the amount collected, investors are reluctant to invest their money. So, with high probability, all new projects can be bought on the exchange at a cheaper price than the ICO. I would be interested to watch the entry of BTT tokens to the market. I think they will be traded much higher than the price of ICO. Roll Eyes

Re: Is it ok to lock your bounty for 4 months
by
Sanderion
on 28/01/2019, 18:58:35 UTC
This happens not only with tokens earned from bounty programs. Many ICO projects delay issuing tokens for up to six months! Some projects change the conditions for unlocking tokens for early investors and so on. You should not worry much about this, these are the realities of the market. Now it's best to be patient and not to spoil the reputation of projects.

Re: XRP really better than ETH???
by
Sanderion
on 27/01/2019, 19:48:18 UTC
XRP its a centralized cryptocurrency with a unlimited supply, their ecosystem controled by bank. Imagine that with an unlimited supply, and only the company can mining/created the XRP. Better to use ETH.

Yes, it is really strange to compare ETH and XRP... May be the question is not which platform is better but which token is better? If so, ETH token is much more useful than XRP because XRP is 100% useless =) Ripple platform can easily work without XRP token but for some reason people don't understand it and buy XRP. They will lost all theie money some day. Don't follow them.

Re: Will cryptocurrencies be able to use for payment?
by
Sanderion
on 27/01/2019, 19:42:00 UTC
Cryptocurrencies are very convenient to pay for everyday life and I see no reason not to use them for this.

If we want to use the cryptocurrency as for normal buying and selling we will need the support from government if the government will not accept cryptocurrency to be legal in their country it will not be possible at any time.

I don't agree with you. Yes, governments will interfere with the introduction of cryptocurrencies into existing payment channels but progress cannot be stopped. Sooner or later, cryptocurrencies will become as an integral part of payments as Visa or MasterCard. But to do this, you need to create a really good platform on which you can implement these ideas. I wish Quarkchain will become such platform.

Re: Do you trust celebrities endorsing cryptocurrencies?
by
Sanderion
on 27/01/2019, 19:36:47 UTC
Celebrities in cryptocurrency market doesn't interest me. Also persons like McAfee that wants to affect the whole market. It is clear that celebrities gets paid to promote projects.
I have got the same opinion, they're just got to promote cryptocurrency idea to bigger amount of people but they not provide trust itself by only just promoting coins or tokens.

Mainly it's true but I'm sure there are small number of really good celebrities that want to overview really worth projects. Most of them talk about Bitcoin but some of them believe in altcoins. In any case, it is best to rely on your opinion and not listen to others.

Re: 2020 best year for ICO
by
Sanderion
on 26/01/2019, 14:06:12 UTC
I'm not sure that ICO boom will happen again. A lot of people are disappointed about results of 2018 year. They were tricked and lost their money. So, we need 2 things to make another ICO boom: regulation and fresh blood (I mean, new investors Roll Eyes). I think it should take several years to make these things happen. So, 2020 seems to early for me. 2021 or 2022 looks more realistic.

Re: Ripple will Die
by
Sanderion
on 26/01/2019, 13:58:02 UTC
The post was very old but I hope, now your mind is changed. We must know the Ripple project are becoming famous day by day. It could be an easy solution for remittance.

Seriously? Do you know that XRP coin has no use on the Ripple platform? The platform can operate without XRP coins at all! The only objective of this coin is to make developers rich. All coins are pre-mined and concentrated in developers hands. So, when they want money thay sell these useless coins to hamsters. Please, take some time and search info about Ripple platform. It'll save your money.

Re: Altcoins are the best..!!
by
Sanderion
on 26/01/2019, 13:50:25 UTC
Yes, altcoin is best but not all. some altcoin is really great. some altcoin almost use as good as Bitcoin.  but not all. altcoin is risky and long term investment.  so you can loss on your valuable time. but most of the altcoin is really good. on the other hand ,, you can using Bitcoin any time. and it exchange easy and comfortable. so altcoin is best but not all not Time.

Most of altcoins are garbage. They were useless from the beginning. They were made for one purpose - get money from naive crypto believers but some of the new projects were really great! It's really hard to find these gems in the bunch of trash. People need to study projects on the market and invest their money carefully. It'll help not only them but all crypto crowd.

Re: Do you buy not top 100 alts?
by
Sanderion
on 24/01/2019, 18:53:20 UTC
Yes, but I allocate for such projects a small percentage of my investment portfolio. Such investments have a very high risk.

There are a lot of projects in top-100 that are much worse than projects in the middle of CMC. If you don't do careful research you have big chances to invest in scam coin located in top-100. So, i think it's more profitable to find good undervalued projects located around 100-300 places and invest money there with the same risks but with much more potencial gains. Good luck! =)

Meh, Steemet is only one of the Larimers scam projects. He promotes his projects under the guise of decentralization but none of them truly decentralized! He's just on hype and all his platforms are useless. I recommend you to stay away from all things this buddy touches... Better pay your attention on really cool and useful projects!  Roll Eyes

Great news! Also I heard that Samsung implemented crypto wallet for Ethereum into its new smartphone Galaxy S10! That sounds awesome! Mass adoption is coming and even bad news such as ETF withdrew doesn't effect the market. I'm sure that price will start rising very soon!

Re: Stop comparing ETH with BTC!!!!!!!!
by
Sanderion
on 22/01/2019, 21:04:41 UTC
ETH is about smartcontracts and BTC is about transactions and tool to store your money for a long term. Just imagine what is going to happen if government buy crypto currency.
Can't believe, there is a tremendous growth coming!

This is not the essence of their differences. Why can't Ethereum be a store of value? Smart contracts are now being developed for Bitcoin. They have a completely different blockchain structure and I have big concerns about Ethereum blockchain. It grows too much and there is a possibility that it will be impossible to verify transactions in the future. The number of blocks will grow faster than the ability to check them ...

Re: What are the Real Risks of Crypto?
by
Sanderion
on 22/01/2019, 19:13:03 UTC
As far as I know, crypto risk is actually a loss caused by a decrease in crypto prices, which we all know that crypto prices are unstable where they can drop sharply anytime and can also rise quickly. Besides that security is also a real crypto risk that is prone to theft, which can be detrimental to crypto owners, which we all also know that there is no security guarantee given to crypto owners in the event of theft.

You are only talking about the risks that the token holder carries. There are a lot of other risks. For example, we saw a lot of examples of cheating blockchains like 51% attack and other different attempts to hack blockchains. In this case, even if the user securely stores his password and buys at the bottom, he is not immune from a technical error of the developers.

Re: Will STO survive?
by
Sanderion
on 22/01/2019, 19:06:34 UTC
I think it will last, STO is the best solution at the moment. investors get guarantees for fund protection. This resolves the crypto project fraud problem.

There are drawbacks to this. For example, STO = a lot of regulation because government should check all your operations within the framework of the current legislation to ensure the rights guaranteed by STO. In addition, only accredited investors will be allows to take part in STOs, so, the the idea of crowdfunding on blockchain platforms will die.

Re: Blockchain Gaming and It's Future
by
Sanderion
on 22/01/2019, 19:01:10 UTC
There is a trend in next decade for blockchain based games, collectible+ VR games. At the moment we need to develop this industry and I think that volume now is too low as well as quality of games. But situation should change soon!

Ok. Who can explain what is the main advantage of blockchain based games? Why are they better than games on centralized servers? I can't find any reasons to play on blockchain. One exception is gambling. You can check that casino is not cheating (open source code) + guarantee of payment (blockchain) = good product. Other uses are absurd in my opinion.

Re: Should We Trust Blockchain ?
by
Sanderion
on 21/01/2019, 19:42:20 UTC
Blockchain technology is trustworthy and we can actually depends on it with our transactions process and I think it is more secure and transparent than any other fund of transactions processing.  Though we are having some rejection from governments I believe that in future blockchain technology is going to become the financial system the world dream of.

Do you really think governments will allow people to do money transactions without control? I'm sure, they won't! I think they will integrate blockchain technology in existing financial systems and will get more control over money flows. Coins like TUSD and USDT are just the beginning of that movement but we can change it! We need to use independent and anonymous blockchains to avoid control.
