I think C# is a bad idea for the trading engine. Use GoLang or C/C++

I've coded an engine that can handle 12000/minute transactions. I've used winners of HFT contests algo.
Some ideas for you:
 - no floating points all unsigned int.
 - all data is stored in memory.
 - sent all data by blocks where possible

just if someone wants to buy an exchange code instead of buying a running exchange. I want to sell a copy mine for 12x times less than the OP.

It's really hard to advertise cryptocurrency exchange. If you do not have $200k to run marketing campaigns, it's not worth the time.
You need to invest money in marketing a lot. More than it takes to create an exchange. I've realized that coding exchange is way easier than market it

I've spent more than 1.5 years developing mine but understood that I do not have enough money to run it (there is a post about my journey that I've started long time ago). So I'm trying now to sell a copy of its code instead of run it.

  I can sell you a copy if you are interested. Also, I've planned to make a white label Crypto Exchange service where anyone can run its own cryptocurrency exchange in less than a minute but do not have enough funds to do that.

Since guys post here links to their sites. I have a journey here where I've posted my ideas about the trading platform and built my own trading platform and wallet service. I can create for you a white label service or sell a copy of my code.

I've so many fake ICO with photos and videos that took money and do not do nothing.  Great idea about interviews, I was planning to make a meet-up or ... maybe conference in Berlin. What do you think? Will it give more trust?

I'll start from crypto currencies, because it's the easiest part and then get into fiat currencies. I'm doing research about Estonia company, they have two licenses that easy to get. But I didn't contact Estonia lawyers yet.


You must have enough money to connect crypto and fiat worlds. I can't run contactless payments without fast exchange to fiat. So the first step is to make exchange, gain trust and get enough trading volume. Then i'll be able to build and promote fast payment with cryptocurrency. So right now my main focus is exchange and after that wallets and FAST contactless payments (no one wants to wait 10 mins untill BTC transaction complete).


I still can't PM. I'm newbie on this forum. Can you post here list of old/stable ALTS that on your opinion should be 'divorced' from BTC?

I'm building exchange too and what i've figured out is that:
 - there is a lot of hype around exchange performance. But no one understands what millions of transactions per second means and how many transaction could be made in real life exchange per second.
 - people do not not believe that exchange without FEES could be profitable and people do not trust exchanges without fees!
 - security is very important thing and it's very important how you'll show your ability to protect exchange assets from hacker attacks
 - people behind exchange the #3 factor.

oh and don't forget about marketing. Posting here is only one small little part of the hard marketing work.

It was my first idea, right now i've decided to focus only on exchange.

There is a lot hype around exchange expenses. Servers are cheap. Huge exchange can easily operated by 20 people max!
And you forget about extra services.

For example pay for priority of order matching. Most of exchanges use price-time model. As extra service instead of "price-time" model use "price-transaction fee - time" matching model. So first will be matched the same price orders with the highest fee and than only orders with zero fee.

Taxes depends on country the exchange is registered at. For example Estonia or Cayman Islands. So free exchange with extra services could be very profitable.

I'll share parts of the code. Maybe it will be helpful to someone too.

What if instead of building free exchange share 50-80% of trading revenue with "community" who owns the tokens like Fcoin, KuCoin does?

Have you seen Fcoin token?

I like the idea of sharing fee between community. So sharing 80% of all transaction fee revenue with community looks good idea for me.

Just visited the site and it looks like scam but:
 
- 4 letter domain may cost a lot of money now... (that was registered in 2001 year)
- They have 5 day activity in Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/company/hbus/
- .... and when you try to Google you find lots of news about HBUS and Huobi in US.

So maybe they are just in the beginning of marketing the project

Marketing ideas:

- I've asked at bitcointalk questions about contests and no fee exchange. I've got a negative feedback about no fee exchange so I'd better start from small fees. The most interesting thing is that people do not trust free exchanges.

- The only idea is an invitation. I'm going to ask about this idea at the forum. At the beginning users will be able to register only by invitations. For every invited person they will receive 40% from trading fee of the invited person.

- Ambassadors. I've seen at the Binance Angel program https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000483751--Calling-for-Binance-Angels. I want to do something similar. Ambassadors will help us in different public communities, provide the feedback about existing and new feature ideas, help to organize meetups. In exchange they will get token rewards, be invited at private meetups, got special limited gifts and rewards, get special invitations to events which we will make, will get access to Ambassador and our team private area to discuss new features, meetups, marketing ideas and etc.


ICO ideas:

- Kodak One has interesting ICO model - they offer tokens only for accredited investors and did a hype around Kodak (and it looks like they are not a part of Kodak and use their brand as franchise)


Project status:

- I have made a  prototype with a matching engine, price/volume chart, order the history, buy/sell price levels and buy/sell orders
- things are left to do:

    - add/withdraw funds (BTC/ETH/USDT/....)
    - the user area
    - the user registration
    - the 100% unit test coverage
    - the Ambassador member area (or start from FB group?)
