SOFTWARE UPDATE!
New versions of the Windows, Mac, and Android clients have been released and will update automatically when opened. Within the next couple of days there will also be a brief downtime for maintenance to update the server.
These updates introduce a number of UI and gameplay improvements, features, bug fixes, and the ability to spread new games.
A short list of some of the software improvements available now:♣️ A "Lock Orientation" checkbox on Android tables to prevent the screen from rotating
♣️ Larger hole cards at Android vertical tables for improved visibility and selection of discards
♣️ Filters added for all games and table sizes on Windows and Mac clients with the ability to select mulitple options
♣️ Improved hand replayer on Windows and Mac clients with 'Previous' and ''Next Step' buttons added for quicker navigation
♣️ Bounty amounts shown for each player on the table in PKO tournaments
♣️ A new dark theme for Windows and Mac clients
♣️ Improved table graphics, buttons and text
And for the first time:
The March BIG BTC Will Have 1 Re-Entry Available! Not personally a fan of re-entry in general but I can understand one re-entry in the Big BTC. It's only once a month and it's the biggest tournament so allowing one second chance seems fair. And it should help increase the prize pool, so that's good.

NEW GAMES!
With the server update complete SwC now introduces two new game formats available in the lobby as scheduled tournaments, sit and go tournaments, and cash games.
♣️♣️♣️ PINEAPPLE HOLD'EM ♣️♣️♣️
Pineapple Holdem is a variant of Texas Hold'em played with 3 hole cards.
Players select 1 card to discard before the turn, leaving them with 2 cards.
Play continues as a standard 2 card hand of Texas Hold'em for the rest of the hand.
♣️♣️♣️ ANTE ONLY SHORT DECK ♣️♣️♣️
Ante Only Short Deck Hold'em is similar to the previous version of Short Deck on SwC with one difference.
Instead of blinds, a hand begins with all players posting an ante.
The player with the dealer button posts a double ante.
Action always begins with the player to the left of the button.
Preflop each player may fold, call the button ante, or raise.
On later streets the minimum bet size is equal to the button ante.
To kick things off and give players the opportunity to try these new games with some low stakes fun there are special freerolls and low buy in tournaments in the lobby today.
♣️ The Short Deck Showdown ♣️
100 chip buyin, 2500 guaranteed
♣️ The Crazy Pineapple ♣️
100 chip buyin, 2500 guaranteed
Pineapple is fun, haven't played that in years.
The short deck with antes is interesting. I love how quickly the cards are dealt on those tables. Regular holdem with antes like that might be fun to try.
