Re: Quit Facebook
by

It has been almost a year already since I decided to stop using facebook. Tell you what, It feels great not seeing all these showbiz personalities, the faces of these stupid politicians, the drama etc...Would you quit facebook?, just try it and I assure you of one thing and that's "Reality".

Same as you, its been a week or 2 since I quit Facebook and Instagram cause I feel like social medias is giving me a different perspective on how to live life. Because most of the pictures or post that I see is like a perfect picture of life and results to me that not being contented to my life and often compare my self to others. And I think social media consume most of my time instead on reading books to review.

But since last week that I quit Facebook and Instagram I start to have a lot of time to spend on helping the chores in our house, reading books, spend time to my friends cause before I used to be at my room and just scrolling through Facebook and Instagram. And now my perspective to life has change and I have a enough sleep today not like before.

Re: why do people agree to pay taxes?
by
akiexx
on 12/03/2018, 03:25:21 UTC
Paying the right amount of tax is a social responsibility to the country. The taxes we pay will go to the government funds that will be used in developing and improving building roads, schools, better government salaries and improve government service. And because of those factors can help attract more investors and jobs. More people having jobs means more people having money to spend which will directly or indirectly improve business as well.

On the other hand, if most of the income earners will illegally reduce their amount of tax obligation, the government will resort to private or foreign loans in order to govern the country. And there will be lesser funds to build roads, schools, infrastructure, lower wages that decrease morale which leads to poor government services. That will cause continues poverty and high unemployment rate that will result to crime increase.

how the technology and gadgets are affecting the mind and health of people. is it in more negative way or is it in positive way??

There are many great things about technology and gadgets because it less our work of time to finish our job.  Because of technology and gadget our life made easy.

But one small bad side of it is for me and my co-students, we rely and depends on the technology and gadgets so much that it defeats our point of studying because, for example when I have a homework or paperworks, i just do it easily by using google and just copy/paste it.

Re: Becoming wealthy and social responsibility

While I don't have many posts. I got involved in Bitcoin in 2013 and joined this forum in 2014. While I do not consider myself wealthy from Bitcoin yet. I do have an idea of how I would like to direct some of this new found wealth. I think most of the people who got involved early got involved for the right reasons. IE: To change the world and move humanity out of the control of the bankers. I am concerned that the new people coming may only be in to make money. I hope I am wrong, I really want this technology to be a force of good in the world and deliver economic freedom to the masses and the unbanked. My hope is everyone who was early, has some idea in mind that will help others. Maybe help your family, or a charity that you think isn't wasting money, or building a community swimming pool etc. If you have a lot of money think big and how you can change the world for the better. This is our chance!

I guess most of us that work here are unemployed so I think most of the people that get involve here early are unemployed that time and want to have a little money that time. So right now that they have the money and knowledge about the crypto world and how it can change one's life. I think one of my friend have that thought and he help here to have some money to help my studies. And I'm so thankful for that.

Re: How to overcome depression?

Hi, I just wanna ask how to overcome depression? I have a friend and she keeps telling me that she don't to live anymore and that it is better to die, she has lot of problems but she just keep it on her own, she is so depress and i can't find the right words to make her feel better. And also can't a person overcome depression on his/her own?

I have a depression before and it's really dangerous to have that kind of feeling because every time I am alone
all I think of is my past mistake and thinking "is it worth living?". But I'm blessed that my friends help me to fight it they always hang out with me they made me feel that I'm not alone and because of that I find another purpose to live my life to wake up everyday and have that sense of purpose everyday.  Smiley

⭐ Merited by Hell-raiser (1)
I choose working smart because it's about making the right decision, smart choices and right step. But working smart doesn't mean not working hard. Because like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates they both work smart but work harder.

Addition: It's like effectiveness vs efficiency. Working hard is like being effective "adequate to accomplish a purpose; producing the intended or expected result." And working smart is being efficient "performing or functioning in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and effort."

Re: Is Bitcoin Money or Currency
by
akiexx
on 11/03/2018, 07:42:38 UTC
mon·ey (noun)

- a current medium of exchange in the form of coins and banknotes; coins and banknotes collectively.
---

cur·ren·cy read as ˈkərənsē (noun)

-a system of money in general use in a particular country.

So, is bitcoin money or currency?

In my opinion bitcoin is both a money and a currency. Because we use bitcoin as a payment in online transactions and in real world to buy goods and stuff. And it's a currency because bitcoin is one of the system of money that we use in the digital world.

Re: Why suicide cases are increasing
by

Depressions and low self-esteems are one of the reasons why there are a lot of suicide cases.

I think one of the main reasons why suicide cases keep on rising is because of the social medias cause most of the post there is a dream to others but can't get it so people now a days specially millennials keep on comparing them selves to others. And that causes depression, anxiety and low self-steem.

The time I loose my motivation is when I realize that even if I work hard there is always something negative I hear from my surroundings that they will always want to bring me down. So that's what I do I go let them win and here I am. Just a loser hoping  have a job in the internet.  Undecided

Me as a Filipino citizen we really have a trust issue when it comes to United States of America because ever since USA is just using my country as a base and spying China on their movements. Specially when Obama's term the USA is just using my country as a puppet.

Re: Best tip on saving money
by
akiexx
on 10/01/2018, 17:12:09 UTC
The very best method to saving money is to create a Spending Plan or a Budget (learn how to make a budget). With a budget you figure out what your income is and what your expenses are. Once you know these two things, you can look for ways to reduce your expenses or increase your income to allocate an amount of money that you can afford to save. This method takes a little bit of work at the beginning and a check-up every year or two, but it works.

Re: Real friends.
by

on 13/12/2017, 07:55:07 UTC
There is too much these days about people have friends as snakes disguise. Well let us take a moment appreciate the real friends. I bet people still have real friends, the ones who truly stand by them no matter what happens. We waste too much time complaining about the bad people we have in our life. Why not appreciate the ones who have been in our life as a blessing. I've been blessed with a whole bunch of real friends who support me no matter what. Are you also among the blessed ones?

I think I can call all my friends all real to me. Because ever since we where in highschool to college they still here for me. Even on my down side they're still there for me to pull me up. I think the key to have a real friend is that it starts from me.

Bitcoins is decentralized and independent of any government or banking authorities. Among other benefits, bitcoin allows users the option to make financial transactions at lower fees than the traditional online payment mechanisms. And it enable you to make transactions to merchants for goods purchases, which makes it an enticing opportunity to those who believe Bitcoin has a bright future.

Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ?

Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.

The unregulated nature of the currency makes it hard to predict if its price will continue to rise or if the bubble will burst. As of now I'm happy that the price of bitcoin keep on rising every single day.

Re: Money 💰💰💰
by

on 06/12/2017, 07:21:23 UTC
Money is one of our most important part in our life and we all work for money. I accept that money can buy a house, car, dresses and all things which we need in our day today life. But can money bring us true happiness???

A small incident which is making me feel if Money is the only thing we need in life. One of my cousin is married and have 2 kids and the younger one is just a year old. They are planning to leave their kids with their parents and go to a foreign country to earn more money. I cant imagine if both of them can be happy without seeing their kids or money has made them to take this decision. Do you think its a right decision?Huh

Also,Why is money so important in our life?

Money is important in our life because almost everything we need to live is paid with money. Even our water and electricity that should be free we still paying for that.

It's sad that the story you share is common to us. In my country (Philippines) 6 out of 10 of my classmates are in abroad working so that they have a better life. It sucks that they have to sacrifice just to have money. So I guess money is really that important.

Re: Why people are unhappy?
by
akiexx
on 06/12/2017, 05:52:47 UTC
Did you ever thought why many people are not happy even they have many possessions in life?  Did you ever thought the reason behind those agonies even if they tried to be happy but it wont last that long?  Physically,  they showed to the whole world that they are strong,  they enjoy their lives to the fullest.  But at end of the day,  loneliness attacks.  Did you ever thought why people are unhappy?

I think the biggest part why people are unhappy is because of social media, because in social media we always see someone living a better life than us and we tend to compare ourselves to them and that's the reason why most of us are unhappy, we are unsatisfied of what we have. We became a "Perfectionist" where we expect perfection from ourselves. Being perfect is an unrealistic goal for us to place on ourselves or others. Constantly falling short of the unattainable will continuously keep us unhappy.

Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country?
by

on 06/12/2017, 04:47:25 UTC
Bitcoin can improve the economy of a country, when a country find a way to properly tax bitcoin. Giving a good balance between the usage of it, and taxation.
This will be a real challenge for the goverments, and i am curious on how they will "fix" this.
And guys, we must understand that all those "good things and services" that we get are from taxation. Tax is absolutely a "must" for a country to improve cause all the funds of the government come from peoples tax our tax.

Re: Is humanity gone?
by

on 05/12/2017, 18:49:28 UTC
Humanity is not gone. Even though we always see or hear this topic in news or social medias. Humanity is still their until there are humans. I think we're just hardened by this society that it get to the we care less about other.  I think the solution is that we should be soft sometimes. Do not let the world make us hard. Do not let pain make us hate. Do not let the bitterness steal our sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, we should still believe that this world we standing is a beautiful place. Smiley
