Re: Coins.ph network fee

Sabi nga nila "data is the new oil".

He has a partnership with Stake.com and I assume the majority of losing bets are bankrolled/credited by Stake in exchange for free marketing.
But still, a loss is a loss. That is considered to be his money considering it was credited to his account. This huge loss seems like nothing to him even after so many losses, considering that this is not the first time it happens. Lol.

Re: Out of prides, investors endangers themselves.

Just by past weekend this doubted guy came asking if am I aware that the other of his friend has a lot of money in his Bitcoin wallet? And I ask how he knew about it then he explained in details.
I was surprised and felt disappointed of my newly Investors friend because I could wonder further people that doubted guy would tell about the guys funds in his wallet he can linger to danger that even if this doubted guy does not have evil thoughts on him, others being aware of it could be.

I think this my newly investor friend was out of pride and just wanted to make this other guy feel regret but does not know the dangerous implications he has just made upon himself and his Bitcoin assets.
It is unfortunate for investors who lives this life of proving themselves to people just to make them believe on their investment.

First things first,
You don't have to feel disappointed. Whatever that person do to his invested money, whether he showed it to anyone or be happy talking about it with different person due to the joy of making a profit through his investment, you have nothing to do with it. Just be happy like how he feels.

Second thing is, sooner or later, he will probably realize that his investment is too personal to share with other people. He may only be overjoyed and come to the point of bragging it to the other guy who did not invest together with him without realizing it.

The last thing is, he looks like proving himself with his investment and want to make the other guy to regret for not investing, but based on your story, he's just showing off his profit just like any other newbie. He does not seem to prove anything like telling the other guy some words like "you should invest, etc.."

Re: how much do you love bitcoins?

on 18/06/2024, 12:16:53 UTC
How much do you love bitcoins? But think about it, what kind of situation do you think can push you into stopping to hold bitcoins and invest more in it? please share your episode.
I don't love it, but I have enough understanding to trust and put my investment on it.
Maybe when the time comes that I am comfortable with the profit I made on investing in Bitcoin, but to completely stop holding Bitcoin, I don't know, it depends on the situation, financially, ie..

Has your love for Bitcoin surpassed your love for country? If your government threatens arrest for anyone found to still be involved in bitcoins, are you willing to go to jail even if it is just for a day?
Will you be willing to relocate from your country to another region if the environment becomes unsafe for people like you who have invested in bitcoins?
No. As I said, I have trust on it. If ever there will be a restriction coming from the government, I will make a move to make myself safe from getting involved like avoiding any crypto sites who have KYC. Most likely it will be the reason for getting tracked in this kind of scenario.

If you had money that you had already planned to DCA into bitcoins and a close family member or friend with a pressing financial need comes up to you to ask you for some financial help, will you be willing to skip your DCA plans and help them? How should we react in such a situation.
No, because I believe that if I want to help my family, close family member or anyone I know, I should help myself first. Skipping the planned DCA or the investment might greatly affect the plan and financial status I'm expecting. It will be a no good for me and this kind of situation, especially in our country where a family member will ask for a financial help, it will be a miracle if ever they pay you the money back.

Re: Do you set a specific bankroll before gambling or not?
by
angrybirdy
on 17/06/2024, 13:37:35 UTC
"Bankroll" is usually a term used in sports betting. From what I've read in some of the threads here, we need to be disciplined in managing our bankroll, typically betting only 5% to 10% per wager. So I'm curious: do bettors here really set up a bankroll first before they start gambling, or do they just gamble whenever they have available money?

Please share your experience whether positive or negative and what you learn from it.
Setting a bankroll is a method that must be met so as not to overdo it and spend it all, I always do that. When experiencing a losing streak it will save you from bankruptcy, but when you win it will provide a positive ROI. In addition, it is also important to set win and loss limits. Determine the amount of winnings that will make you stop playing and withdraw some of the winnings. And set a loss limit that will stop playing and avoid losing more money. If you do both then you will gamble more safely.
Yep, one more thing about bankroll management is you can make yourself have more control and have a slowly but surely type of betting. Most of the time, we have this uneasiness and having a rush feeling especially if we have a consecutive losses in our betting, and most gamblers starts to increase their bet without thinking until they no longet have enough balance.

To avoid such scenario, this can be helpful to anyone. Even I is also doing this ever since I have realized and learned from my past mistakes.

Re: Is this true or some superstitious believe about gambling?
by
angrybirdy
on 17/06/2024, 13:01:37 UTC
In any case, No, that's just superstition created to better cope with losing so much money on gambling, instead of taking accountability and blaming himself, which thereby would allow him to see his mistakes and therefore become a better person, he created a belief system that specifically takes the brunt of the burden of dealing with gambling consequences for him.
Well, this is true because it's part of the human nature to look for someone or something to blame with the action they made which does not turn on their favor. Specifically in gambling, they even come to the point just like you said, creating a belief to put the blame on that belief and make themselves more comfortable and bring back their confidence due to the negative experience they got in gambling.

Bonus Buy can be a help for some people so they still buy that and hopes they can hit the jackpot. But they must realizes that Bonus Buy can't always gives them big wins so they must be careful spends their money to Bonus Buy. I prefer to playing as normally and not use Bonus Buy because that can makes me lose much money. I can forget to control myself if I often use Bonus Buy.
In my case, I prefer to purchase bonus play in SB. With only 10 free spins, I get a multiplier than playing normal or auto spin. Though, it has a fast phase that's why you most likely forgot to control yourself when you use the bonus play. In that case, it's better if you try to build up your own strategy. Just like what I did, it also happened to me that I didn't control myself in slots as I continuously purchased the bonus play, which is incorrect. Doing this will only make you lose money so fast without realizing it.

Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely!
by
angrybirdy
on 16/06/2024, 06:30:17 UTC
But let's look at this phenomenon from the other side. As you know, any movement of funds has 2 sides: what is a gain for someone is a loss for another person. Those means that for one are a thing that changes life in a positive direction, for another are a thing that changes life in a bad way, because the other side of winning is losing.
That's the dark side of gambling. Not everyone can win any money, there's always someone who will losw their money while the others are winning. It's part of the risk and the consequence of gambling where they will face the risk or the chance or having the possibility to win huge amount of money with also the chance of losing it.

However, this shouldn't be something we should think of because gambling is considered as one of the most pick activity for entertainment and of course to try making money. It's not for those people who would hesitate just because someone might lose money. Remember that if you gamble, some other people is winning. It is a vice versa scenario and probably that other person will not think how much money you lose the same as you are thinking.

on 15/06/2024, 15:06:18 UTC

Hi Guys,

The cost of petrol is around $2.10AUD per litre, which is insane.

Let's hope things improve in the near future because the current state of things is unsustainable.

The cost of living in my country is super costly  Grin but 1 litres of petrol is not yet up to $1, it is still selling for $0.8. Every country is really feeling the impact of the inflation because it is very worst than years ago.
In our country it's over a dollar, as far as I know the price is already at $1.10.Compared to it's price in the previous year, the effect is too much that even some of those people who have their own vehicle prefers to take public transportation because it can lessen their expenses.

Re: A man is unable to collect his price cos he forget where he bought the ticket.

Is there a note on the casino in order to claim the winning? if there's already a note on there, the gambler should be blamed since he's careless since he didn't read it. But, if the casino didn't have notes, the casino is shady since they want to make the gambler will not able to claim his winnings.

After all, this story will make people in this forum aware to ask the casino's employee to claim the winnings in order to avoid this case happened to them. Good information @OP.
There's was an instruction on where to claim the prize. But if you will read the article, it indicates that the announcement of winner was done not a few weeks ago or a few months ago, but a year ago. Wherein, it is also said:
Quote
if you win over $1,000 you should get your cheque in six to eight weeks

It's long past due to claim the prize. That's also a long time ago that anyone would really forget where they purchase their ticket.

Then the first requirement to claim his prize is to confirm the location of where he purchased it which is being done to confirm if he's the real owner of the ticket.

Anyways, yes, it's a great awareness for everyone to look into especially for those people who always buy a lottery ticket.

Re: Which casino would you trust more: one that requires KYC or one that doesn't?

on 14/06/2024, 13:08:30 UTC
Nowadays, a lot of casinos do require KYC, it's either they require upon registration or later once you have done your first withdrawal.

But when it comes to trust or having more confidence in a casino, I agree with most people here that the reputation is what we follow. Just like in the old days where KYC is not a thing. All we have is looking for the reputation of the casino, being comfortable playing with the anonymity while enjoying gambling.

Re: Where is the bullrun???
by

I have to confess that I don't understand too much about criptos, but during an important time I have studied about reading charts and I can't see a reason for believe that BTC will explode in short-term. I would like to know: What makes you think that will happen a bull run now? It is  a true need to learn about it.
You said that you have studied reading charts but unfortunately, you seem to not understand much about it. maybe you need more time and effort to learn more not focusing only to reading charts. There are a lot more factors that considers the price movement of the market, specifically BTC.

It also seem to me that you are only hyped by the people you see who are into crypto who's saying that Bitcoin will boom in no time. Sorry to say, that's not how it works in crypto. You need to understand deeper and know what it really is when it comes to investing in BTC.

Re: Buy bitcoin now?
by
angrybirdy
on 14/06/2024, 12:09:33 UTC
Do you think it is convenient to buy bitcoin now according to your predictions? Or wait for its value to drop further?
Buying is all depends on you, it is you're money so you need to decide by you're own on because at the end of the day you will be the one to lose if you lose, you only need to do research and be sure that you already know what is crypto and how risky is investing into it. No one can predict the price so everything you will here from another investors is also a prediction so don't put your trust to anyone for good.
I agree with you that never trust anyone in investing in crypto because there is no accurate prediction of prices in crypto currency. It is very important that before deciding to invest, we have sufficient knowledge and carry out in-depth research in order to minimize the potential for large losses. It is important to remember that cryptocurrency price movements are fast.
The question in OP is not anything related to trust, but more likely gathering an idea or looking for a convincing answer to whether it is convenient to buy Bitcoin at the current situation of the market or it is better to set aside the idea of investing for possible crash that might happen in the market. It is indeed true that no one can accurately predict the market, but hearing ideas from other people is not that bad because it can be one way to have a strong foundation to his plan of investing whether he will initiate it immediately or not, and I'm sure OP knows to himself that at the end of the discussion, the final decision will still be made by him.

No, magkaiba ang altcoin and nft.

Ito yung makikita mong mga kakaibang artwork o kaya naman kung minsan ay mga larawan na may kanya kanyang pagmamay ari. Kumbaga e kung may nft ka, makikita ng lahat kung sino ang nagmamay ari ng isang nft.

Re: The real winning of gambling is withdrawals
by
angrybirdy
on 13/06/2024, 12:51:56 UTC
I can understand; as gamblers, we get tempted to place bets. The best way to counter this is to set a profit limit or target. Once the target is achieved, make the withdrawal. If you keep your balance in the casino, then you will eventually get the temptation to place a bet and will continuously want to make more money. Hence the best thing is to just withdraw the funds after a certain amount is made in profits. Withdraw the initial amount you used, and if you really want, then gamble with the previous game’s profits.

that's right, If we just leave the money and what we earned in our gambling accounts, there is a great possibility that we will return to our gambling activity from time to time, unlike when you only have a set bank roll and only spend a limited amount, you will learn to limit your spending and placing bets. Withdrawing the winnings is really the best way to do so that we can monitor how much we have won. As a gambler, what I really do is I take all the winnings and I only leave the initial gambling fee in my account, it will helps me to handle my money in a very smart way so that I don't overspend or overbudget on gambling expenses. My strategy is how I will grow the initial money that I put in my account, so that there will be gambling in the next sessions because I will never deposit any fees again.

Re: How were you able to handle a losing streak up to 5 times and above?
by
angrybirdy
on 13/06/2024, 12:14:24 UTC
Just be disciplined and believe that a losing streak will happen, so you'll be prepared for it. If we know it's going to happen, we can create a strategy to handle it. Since sports betting should be approached with a long-term perspective if we want to be profitable, it's crucial to set up a decent bankroll intended for such situations. Some gamblers get frustrated when they experience a long losing streak because they have unrealistic expectations. We should avoid that mindset, understanding that gambling involves long streaks, whether winning or losing. Our goal is to be profitable based on our overall performance.

The key to achieving this is discipline in managing your bankroll. This will help you stay in the game longer and accept a losing streak without panicking. Also, never chase your losses—that's another important principle.

Agree! and just like in a normal games out there, if we experience multiple losses in just 1 session then I suggest to stop, breathe and think carefully. Continuing placing a bet is not advisable unless you still have extra funds in your bank roll but it's not okay to used it all in just one seat. Having a self discipline is a must, it is the major key for us to prevent massive losses in every gambling sessions that we take. There are times that we experience "rough times" and if that day happen, I hope everyone here knows what to do. Be a responsible and attentive gambler.
