Re: 🏆 [Withdrawals Update] AnonBet.net - No-KYC Slots & Sportsbook with Bitcoin 🏆
by

Dear customers,

TLDR: Starting April 27-th, around 30 withdrawal requests were delayed for more than 24 hours, some having to wait for up to 80 hours. Everybody who opened a support ticket after the 24-hour window has been awarded 20 free spins on our slot machines. All withdrawals have been executed by now.

Without revealing too much about our infrastructure, the recent power outages in Europe caused some delays with withdrawals. Do not trust everything you read on the news, the outage started much earlier and did not only affect two countries. Even though the power was mostly restored in less than a day, it took more time for it to be fixed in less-inhabitated cities.

We are already in the process of distributing our wallet-related services on different continents to avoid such dependency-based delays (or potentially downtime) in the future. For what you may worry, your funds are safe and there are multiple physically-accessible wallet backups, but these are only to be retrieved in case of permanent damage to our servers (e.g. natural disaster or seizure).

Our team is already working on providing UFC streaming for this weekend. Have fun gambling and do not abuse it!

Hello,

We carefully went through the topic once again while communicating with our backend engineering team.

Regarding no username, yes, that's his issue. He suddenly found his username to be invalid, and when he tried to recover it, they got an error message saying that the username was not found.

Here we will directly quote a backend team member that has been part of the organisation for more than 9 months now:

Idk, the screenshot itself looks fabricated. The address on screen doesn't belong to any of our wallets. Historically we have had three different color themes - red, green and blue in this order, but not multiple at the same time. The green and blue mixture seems off to me. Support often bugs us with people claiming they lost access to their previous account and referencing a supposed "deposit transaction" on the blockchain where funds were moved to an address not associated with us. Also lots of people claim they found vulnerability and demand a small payment to disclose it but when asked to demonstrate it or just exploit it they shut up. You are a relatively new member but learn not to fall for this. Historically less than 10 user accounts have demanded deletion of their account through support after having their funds withdrawn. Here is a full list of these: <redacted>. The username "rapture692" is available to this day. We have had some downtime in our history but no indication of data loss. At this point you would have to burn multiple of our servers at the same time for us to lose data. Idk, maybe give them some stats for the last month or something, I will speak to <redacted> and see what we could share publicly. Or better yet, ask them to try it instead of speculating and trusting random people online. It's part of our job to look into stuff like that but recently such ridiculous claims have hit our work capacity heavily so pls try to keep us shielded from unneccessary investigative work if possible. It feels like for the past 3 months we have become a secondary support team and it's visible from the lack of UX improvements. Feel free to quote this whole message or reword it, just leave out personal information (usernames, team member pseudonyms).

Can you check user's account with their email address? Or other information that you can match with your database to get a better insight of what happened with account in question?

TLDR: No. Only the bitcoin address on screen has been confirmed not to belong to our wallets.

AnonBet.net is truly a no-KYC platform and this is its core idea. Yes, in the current gambling world it is far from competitive yet - no slots variety, only soccer and MMA bets (nothing more than 1, 2, X, but we are working in this direction currently). But we do not require any PII (personally identifiable information) at any point - just a username and password. This has been the main pitch from the beginning. One could argue that an email alone is not necessarily PII. Maybe yes, if used correctly, which most people don't do. And yes, it is a double-edged sword - no way to prove or disprove neither our claims, nor anybody else's. Such platforms have always operated based on trust.

And to finish the point, AnonBet has operated for a year now (plus 3 months prior to that, starting as a peer-to-peer betting platform). We have over 4000 registered users (surely some duplicates). In the month of April alone we have executed over 170 withdrawals. The only withdrawals that had to wait for more than 24 hours have been completed by now - had to do with recent global power outages. We will write about that shortly in our ANN thread.

Feel free to join our platform if it suits your needs and share your experience, whether positive or negative. It would be nice to hear actual feedback from OG users here. We are not very active here as we have found out that local physical advertisement has been way more successful than writing on forums. But we will eventually answer every question here, too.

Re: 🏆 [Referral Bonus] AnonBet.net - No-KYC Slots & Sports Betting with Bitcoin 🏆
by
anonbet.net
on 02/09/2024, 10:50:39 UTC
Hello everyone,

As multiple users have asked through support - we have removed the account deletion policy from our Terms & Conditions. For anybody wondering, there was a paragraph stating that accounts that have not made a deposit within the first 2 weeks of registering, could become subject to deletion. This rule will no longer apply and has never been applied in the last three months.

Another question if you don’t mind, after this campaign ends, will the referral system be completely removed or you will keep it and reduce the commission?

The referral system in our eyes is a necessity for any platform looking to attract customers. As such, it would stay in place. Whether the bonus percentage will be reduced or replaced by free spins, bets or something else is still being discussed. We are open to your suggestions Smiley

Hello everyone,

We have been back up for a couple hours now. We agree this was too long of a downtime and we would provide explanation and steps we have taken to prevent such issues in the future. The referral bonus campaign remains active.

Almost all of our microservices have multiple replicas hosted across different VPS providers all around the world. An exception turned out to be the edge server which was hosted at a single provider. It is only our edge server that is hosted at this provider and historically AnonBet has never had an issue with the provider prior to this occasion. From what our engineering team reports, the VPS suddenly stopped responding to ping requests and SSH requests started getting instantly rejected. Our DevOps team reports that the provider gave no prior notice for their downtime and their support wasn't responsive for over 24 hours until sending a notification that there was an issue with one of their data centers.

It was a mistake on our end to have only one "portal" (edge server) of connectivity. AnonBet has previously considered hosting multiple mirrors and having a separate domain pointing to active mirrors at all times, in case of a server takedown or downtime. Our team has now set this as a priority and it will come to fruition very soon. Your data and funds are nonetheless safe as they are backed up encrypted and multiple different locations.

This is taking a bit too long, tbh. Is there any information about when this issue will be fixed and when your website will be up again?
Sorry for asking, but could this be related in anyway to the introduction of the new referral system?

The referral commission is very generous (10% of whatever the player spends on slots!) which makes me curious about your slots’ rtp!
Do you mind telling us about the rtp of your slot game? sorry if this information has already been shared and I have missed it.

Hi khaled0111,

As mentioned above, this was not at all related to any changes on our end. Still, we have taken the steps to minimize the risk of this happening ever again.

Yes, the referral bonus is only for funds spent at our slot machines as this is what the campaign targets. It took me a while to scroll through the full discussion, but it seems an answer was given as a reply to a comment of yours:

Our main competitive edge is that we are no-KYC with a very quick registration process. We already have people working on designing future promotions with everything considered. Design improvements are our current number one priority. Thank you for the feedback and the suggestions!
Thank you for your response. With more and more casinos enforcing kyc, being a no-kyc casino is definitely a plus. Good ood to know you are working on improving the website design. You have a lot of work to do. Good luck!

Yes, our spins are completely random and the Fruity Loops slots have an RTP of 97.23%. Both Demo and Live environments use the same reels.
Ok, but how can we verify that? Being provably fair means the player can verify the results and the fairness of the game by himself without having to trust the casino.

AnonBet has previously ran a free spin campaign which had to end short because it got exploited in a simple way that was in some way not predicted by the team at that time. It failed to attract nearly as many active customers as intended for the budget and had to be cut short. AnonBet's intent during campaigns is to be at loss in order to demonstate its capabilities and engage more users. This campaign is way more measured than the previous one. We also offer a demo slots environment to test our slots without risking real funds.

PS: Have in mind that the PR team (communicating here) a month and a half ago has totally been cut off and has been replaced by a smaller team of more tech savvy people who understand what's going on and don't need to blindly copy-paste messages from AnonBet's engineers here.

Hello everyone,

Our edge servers providers are suffering a downtime and thus AnonBet.net is currently unreachable. We are in communication with them and should wait for them to resolve the issues. Your funds and data are safe. Hopefully we will be back up soon.

Re: How do gambling sites detect or know your using a vpn?
by
anonbet.net
on 29/08/2024, 16:59:23 UTC
Hello, OP,

There are many public IP blacklists - one example being spamhaus.org. Learn more. In addition, Tor nodes are all public. Try opening https://proxy6.net/en/privacy through Tor or VPN and you could easily check if your IP is blacklisted.

As an outsider, one could see how Big Tech could easily build such lists. They have trackers on almost all websites. They know whenever you log into a website they have trackers on (them being Alphabet, Meta, Microsoft, etc). Let alone, most of the times people choose to authenticate via email (Gmail most commonly) or Facebook. They know all of this and they have a history of each account's logins. Multiple logins of different accounts through the same IP, most of which accounts have logged through numerous other IPs all around the globe, is enough of a red flag to target a certain IP.

Last but not least, you could always give us a shot at AnonBet.net. We are a VPN-/TOR-friendly No-KYC gambling platform with zero tracking  Smiley
