Re: If a token keeps falling, how to save it
by
ardentvolcanoes
on 06/06/2024, 12:01:47 UTC
At this point you are the creator and beneficiary of this token, what will you do?
Depends on the purpose but if I am the creator of it, I want it to stay for a long and everyone will be able to use it. So, going back to basics it includes the fulfillment of what's written in the road map, white paper, and as well as with marketing on its side.

From what I have seen with other developers, if their project is in danger. What they're doing is burning a lot of its supply, going on with partnerships and having more exposure through media so that many will see what their project is.

And going back to myself being an owner of it, well, I don't know if I'll be able to fulfill all of that. It's not easy at all to get into these projects and have yourself get an headache on maintaining and promoting it.

Exactly, if you are the owner and you think the project you created is something that can be useful then you will try all your resources to attract investors to support your project.

The life of the coin is in you, finding what is best will begin at you and it's true that most of those developers resort their way in burning the token
and bring more exposures,

as long as you believe that there's a good use of token you must do whatever way you have to continue the progress
and deliver what you wrote inside the road map.

Re: Crypto Hacks, Rug Pulls Led to $473M Worth of Losses in 2024: Immunefi
by
ardentvolcanoes
on 04/06/2024, 00:07:23 UTC
Article Content: The article from CoinDesk highlights that in 2024, crypto hacks and rug pulls led to losses amounting to $473 million. This data comes from Immunefi, a security service that monitors vulnerabilities in decentralized finance (DeFi) projects.
Source: coindesk.com

We have been seeing this happening over time that many projects go on rug pull, we have to know well what we are investing on, but the good news about all these is that the whole thing is going on a decline, if you're to compare from the way backward to this present moment, we have been having a decreasing rate on hacks and rug pull, which also tells that the more the widespread of bitcoin the more people are getting knowledge about it and are trying to avoid being scammed.

Investors are getting smarter now, they just don't invest on hype, they have learn their lessons very well and just don't want to put their money on high risk projects.
For scams and others, the game though is increasing, hackers are sophisticated, so still up to us to practice safety hygiene.

I think the numbers will still continue to decline overtime because again we could be evolving and learning.
Developers ensuring their codes are foul-proof because releasing it to production.

Please be careful when you download anti-virus

⭐ Merited by TravelMug (1) ,nelson4lov (1)
Was just browsing when I saw this news, regarding malicious and fake anti-virus sites. Of course, you will question, why it is related to crypto?, the answer is that because one of the tenant for being a crypto enthusiast so that we will not get phished by malwares that can still our crypto assets is to make sure that our anti-virus is updated.

But what if the attack is on the anti-virus itself like the following?

Code:
avast-securedownload.com (Avast.apk)
bitdefender-app.com (setup-win-x86-x64.exe.zip)
malwarebytes.pro (MBSetup.rar)

And as you can see in the images, it's hard to see that this is a malicious sites and not the real one.

1. The site hosting "avast-securedownload . com" is a spyware and a stealer,

2. While the "bitdefender-app. com" has been injected with Lumma.

Quote
Lumma Stealer (aka LummaC2 Stealer) is an information stealer written in C language that has been available through a Malware-as-a-Service (MaaS) model on Russian-speaking forums since at least August 2022. It is believed to have been developed by the threat actor "Shamel", who goes by the alias "Lumma". Lumma Stealer primarily targets cryptocurrency wallets and two-factor authentication (2FA) browser extensions, before ultimately stealing sensitive information from the victim's machine. Once the targeted data is obtained, it is exfiltrated to a C2 server via HTTP POST requests using the user agent "TeslaBrowser/5.5"." The stealer also features a non-resident loader that is capable of delivering additional payloads via EXE, DLL, and PowerShell.

3. While "malwarebytes. pro" has a payload of StealC.

Quote
Stealc is written in C and uses WinAPI functions. It mainly targets date from web browsers, extensions and Desktop application of cryptocurrency wallets, and from other applications (messengers, email clients, etc.). The malware downloads 7 legitimate third-party DLLs to collect sensitive data from web browsers, including sqlite3.dll, nss3.dll, vcruntime140.dll, mozglue.dll, freebl3.dll, softokn3.dll and msvcp140.dll. It then exfiltrates the collected information file by file to its C2 server using HTTP POST requests.

https://www.trellix.com/blogs/research/a-catalog-of-hazardous-av-sites-a-tale-of-malware-hosting/

So now it begs the question that if we are in crypto space, we should really be alert on everything we click and downloaded, even anti-virus software because we could be trick by going into this kind of websites and we thought that we are safe.

And also that we are about to hit the bull run, the cyber criminals activity are ramping up their activity against us. So be very very careful everyone.

Re: Is it possible for Traditional Banks to cooperate with Crypto
by
ardentvolcanoes
on 20/06/2022, 13:15:10 UTC
DeFi or decentralized finance can threaten the world of traditional banking, because of the shift in lending, even DeFi itself is known to be able to provide loans like other traditional banks.
This can affect existing traditional banks, because there will be competition between traditional banks and crypto in general, regardless of the various problems that will occur, crypto and traditional banks must be able to adapt to each other.

Crypto development is progressing so rapidly, this can be seen from the many users who join here, if Traditional Banks close themselves it is not impossible to be abandoned in the next few years.
Although currently crypto is still very risky, it is not impossible that in the future crypto can change finances, just need to wait for regulations or legal regulations, if this happens, it is certain that crypto will grow and be accepted by many people.

so far no, the banking system sees crypto as a threat problem many countries don't legalize crypto that's why banks won't cooperate with crypto.  Traditional banks can provide many types of loans, houses, cars, installments etc.  defi is a type of crypto-based loan and it will never threaten conventional banks.  I think this is a simple explanation

Banks still in doubt about where the crypto will proceed,

even there are some countries that open with adopting crypto the banking business still not in the process of fully adopting this system.

Like how you provide your example, there are deals that banking can offer, but unlike with how defi works,
banks are more likely to a secure side that they are always in control.

Currently market has dip.We know Altcoin depends on bitcoin. When BTC price will be pumb Then every Altcoin price will be rise.Bitcoin little drop now and now BTC r around $41k+ but previous year bitcoin has been reached $66k.I Think it is difficult to market prediction. But i hope crypto market will be rise again and i hope Bitcoin and both coin price will be more grow in 2022.

Just continue monitoring the market, it's hard to predict which direction this current situation will proceed.
Many are fearing and lead them losing their money, while for some who understand the market, they are just buying and holding.
Knowing that it will bounce and will bring them good compensation.

bitcoin is a bit bearish now after a very high pump from $66k down to $62k in a few hours. we can share this with every market if bitcoin is back in the red zone with a decline rate of 4.43%. maybe bitcoin will stay at $62k or continue to fall at $60k and vice versa maybe return to normal at $66k.

No one knows the actual directions, it will continue to depend on how supply and demand will be,

more bitcoin strong holder to keep their assets, the stronger the resistance and the chance to pump

back stronger, on the other hand, if gainers will start to cash out a huge amount of assets

the possibilities that crashed may happen since there are also investors who are not capable of of seeing

their money to lose value, they will surely follow the dumped and create more

Re: Entering the trading market
by

Hi OP, I see that you have made this post, and you also made another post related to trading.
I suggest you read the suggestions given by the members here, there are many.
The most important thing is that you must learn at first, learning about crypto, the coins that are going to trade, and also other analysis for trading. It is complicated and not easy, that is why you must learn hard for this, then continuing learning by doing after having basic knowledge
In addition to studying analysis, of course, we must also learn to be disciplined in that analysis. sometimes people find it difficult to accept floating plus, so they are in a hurry to get out of the market, on the other hand, many people are actually resistant when they see a floating minus, with big hopes that the market will rise again

Your emotions plays big when doing the trade, without good control and discipline you will be moved by the wind inside the market.

Never to act this way, the market is not favorable to traders who don't stand with their decisions, work more harder in reading the flow

and make sure to decide only if you are really sure that you completed your study and research. In that way you are saving your investment

and you are lowering the risk of your trade.

Re: Which alt coin is best investment for long term?
by
ardentvolcanoes
on 11/10/2021, 11:30:32 UTC
There are two ways to invest, firstly by using a long-term or short-term pattern, both of these things must be able to be combined with customized needs, ETH, BNB and ADA as a whole can be invested using any pattern, considering the condition of this coin is very good in the market until the next few years, and I like investing in those three coins, rather than making purchases on other coins that are not necessarily safe?
Coins that are not necessarily safe are meme coins and coins that don't rank well, but as long as the coin you choose is in the top 10, I think it's still very safe for you although you still have to understand the risks indirectly.
Choosing wisely is the best practice when investing in this market, top 10-20 coins inside coinmarket will work with the numbers of support

and investors who hold those coins, stability wise, it's much lesser risk that you'll going to take when you pick top coins, maybe you can spare

Some amount for newer projects, but always remember that risk is high. Long-term wise, ETH, BNB and ADA are some good assets to look upon.

all are good for your invested money.

Re: Dead Coins
by
ardentvolcanoes
on 11/10/2021, 07:01:11 UTC
I'm sure everyone here still keeps dead coins in their wallets to this day because we really can't do more with dead coins in our wallets, even though there is a dex platform for coin issues, but if we look at the high fees on ethereum then it will only be a waste to sell the coins and it is better to leave the coins as they are because they will never get any development from the coin owner.
fees are the main problem why there are still quite a lot of dead coins in people's wallets. considering holding dead coins in our wallet is still better than paying $3 to $10 to make dead coins out of our wallets. In addition, although the opportunity is very small, many people still hope that the coins they hold have a price in the future.

there are still people who do hopes that those shit coins inside their wallets will show up bring them decent profits, while others do not have

anything to do but to let those coins exist inside their wallets, dead coins are nothing. In some cases, some pump groups use the coin and

allure newcomers, they will create some movements to attract anyone especially those who are active inside exchange, and most of the time

greedy traders follows and lose their money.

Re: Good ways to trade?
by
ardentvolcanoes
on 11/10/2021, 06:45:24 UTC
Not a few people who have been successful in trading cryptocurrencies, of course everything they have done has had many challenges before so that currently many of those who trade have enjoyed the results of their hard work. as for indicators and technical what needs to be done is to understand market conditions and survive with the waves that hit the market. In addition, traders who are new to investing should need to know or be familiar with altcoins that have potential that can be invested.
Now it's easier for novice traders to get help from several sites and from friends who are already familiar with all cryptocurrencies, so they can immediately take advantage of it when they start their work, meaning they can immediately ask questions and read some information about some Altcoins they already know to know all the details in more detail.

That's  a good advantage if you are keen in succeeding to this business, you can use all those open channels to enhance your understanding.

Sorting good projects is not easy but with the help of internet and those early birds to this environment, it will be more easy to access deeper

information, or, you can ask someone close to you in guiding you to properly acknowledge what assets are good for your trades.

Re: Let's pay attention to BNB?
by
ardentvolcanoes
on 10/10/2021, 05:41:54 UTC
As one of the top crypto assets on coinmarketcap. BNB has a chart that is almost similar to Bitcoin, Usually when the price of Bitcoin goes up, then BNB also goes up, and vice versa.
As a coin of one of the largest exchange platform in the world, BNB will continue to upgrade and experience a lot of demand. Moreover, Binance has a unique policy of burning its coin on a futures basis. Coin burning policy is expected so that the demand for coin will continue to increase, while the supply is sure to dwindle, so it is possible that in the near future the price of BNB will return to its highest level and even reach a new ATH.

Unlike Bitcoin where supplies are limited, Binance have the burning features that will keep improves the value of this asset.

One good point is the success of all business related to this asset, with the growing numbers of people who acknowledge that success

we will expect more demands for this coin. not to mixed things up, but the full potential is really high for this coin. Just widen your

thoughts and through all those success you'll not regret following and supporting this asset.

Re: Reason why businesses should accept Bitcoin payment
by
ardentvolcanoes
on 10/10/2021, 05:31:02 UTC
Haven't spent some hours thinking about the advantage that is associated with Bitcoin in company ecosystems, new start-ups that are located in crypto-friendly countries are now diving into Bitcoin as payment against the regular faint traditional currencies, after administering questionnaires to some of the business CEOs stated the reason to be the anonymous nature and its intrinsic value. That is to say, Bitcoin is a business within a business because of its decentralized nature and volatile market.
So the company gain in two ways for accepting bitcoin for payments and if the price of bitcoin goes upward interest are generated also.
however, there are many advantages if a company accepts bitcoin as their medium of exchange, and the most perceived benefit is expanding consumers from all over the world. we know that bitcoin has a decentralized and P2P system. So, you can sell what you have all over the world. it is the most tangible and great advantage.
The other advantage is like you said, that if the price goes up, the assets will increase. however, vice versa.
however, not all countries allow this. some countries have regulations regarding payment instruments in their country. however, if your country has a permit for it, then you can expand the business you have.

P2P will allow business to deal between borders, a very good advantage if being look deeper, but volatility always hits the mind of

those business owners, knowing that within a short span of time price may fluctuate. Not unless the owners have a broader knowledge

regarding to this market, they are capable of holding knowing that the value will bounce back.

Re: How do you explain the October pump?
by
ardentvolcanoes
on 10/10/2021, 05:12:19 UTC
Everyone was blaming September for the dip like it was a dip holiday and just waiting for October for the pump. And as soon as October came - and I mean literally, like the first day of October - prices started to go up and it started to pump. How??
If you look at the past graphs you will understand how the market would perform every month and we have around a decade of data to compare now and you will find that every September the market would be dull and then the final two months the market would rally and everyone who are aware of that was expecting the market to rally and we started to rally, still majority are expecting the market to cross the hundred thousand valuation and hopefully we will see that.

Learning from past experienced and how the data stored those information, by looking at it a self explanatory to yourself will open your

understanding that there's a certain part of the year where you can position yourself and have a much better chance to earn.

It's like most of the traders and those investors speculate and now start to bring that expectation into reality, the rise up from sept

red market, mostly influenced by people who works and play inside this business.

Yeah is frustrating mate My suggestion will be to try check gas fees and find good time that will afford less gas try to avoid crazy days except is really urgent dont go for it Most people these days avoid unnecessary transaction I will suggest you do the same or you will keep hating on eth Am sure 2.0 will get rid of probably 80% of the issues

Don't be so desperate, most of the time when there are lots of transaction being done this congested network will ask for higher fees.

Try to add some patience and wait till you see better timing before transacting, you see replies like this coming from experienced traders

who happened to be on the same position, being stuck and can't do nothing but either to wait or to pay those fees in order to execute

the trade that they needed to transact.

Re: The psychology of stoploss
by

on 10/10/2021, 03:52:33 UTC
We always trade with profit and stop loss when we open the trade because the market often moves in huge quantities, if you are not in the market and if the market goes against you, your balance will not take time to run out many of us trade part time. Can't stay close to the trade seen at many important times. As such, it is much better to set up TechProfit but I am not in favor of setting staples. I trade small lots, analyze, trade big charts so I don't need stops.

Interpreting the market movement is a tough job, if you are into this business and you have limited time to stare at your devices

stop-loss will more likely be useful for you, you can set it up and allow taking the risk of losing, volatile market really hurting traders butt

inside crypto market, stop-loss with small difference can be triggered right away.  Before knowing it the market already pump back, make

sure that you are willing and capable to accept that, it will helps you to learn more about this feature and adjust to more competitive settings.

Any alt coin suggestion expect ada.In my point of view of ada still can't surpass ETH in the smart contract field and even if they can make it will be hard to be replace existing eth smart contract eco system. Moreover late coming project like sol even surpassing to ada,all things ada have is the loyal user base and nothing special things in tech

To outperform ETH is not an easy thing to do ADA, currently ETH is in the top three of the market, even ETH will continue to be in that position, even if ADA is able to outperform ETH it will only be temporary, but I think at this time ADA can't do it yet that, when compared between the two, both movement, trend and selling price. Let alone talking about the smart contract between the two, this will benefit ETH in general.

The only coin that I remember who momentarily removed ETH from the number 2 spot was Ripple, but after that, there's no project

That overthrown ETH to this spot. So far we have seen ADA and Sol are hot, not to mention also BNB all have networks where developers.

can create their tokens, but still ETH are far ahead. Investors and developers still use ERC even it has huge transaction fees.

Re: When will the role of fiat currency disappear against crypto.
by
ardentvolcanoes
on 09/10/2021, 08:19:49 UTC
Maybe another century or probably when the humans become extinct, I don't think that we're going to lose our dependence on fiat, Romans and other ancient civilization used a form of fiat currency and they all collapsed as a civilization and here we are still using the same thing.

Another century maybe, but still no assurance that it will happen. Fiat will continue being used and it won't replace by any innovative

financial system, so far it's still far from happening as we all see that crypto still needs fiat when converting it and use it for your daily transactions.

You can't use crypto in most cases when dealing with your local market. A simple logic that fiat still in need when you have to transact offline.

Maybe if adoption take place and there are more established business to join crypto, it will co-exist but not eliminate the use of fiat completely.

BNB has lots of use-cases, a real use compare to other altcoins. It means in the long-term, the coin will always be used for a reason and not just for trading purposes. It's one of the best coins out there that are worth investing even way back the coin was on below $10.

Regrets not buying it on that floor that's why when the price dive to $200 or around $300, I accumulate some and will do it regularly by any chance.

Long-term goal, This coin serve  it's purpose if you see all those features that this project provide to this industry you'll see the full potential.

Those young years of this coin, lots of people regrets to sell it when the huge pump happen thinking that $100 is too much for a coin who started

with less than a penny. For people who acknowledge this coin and invest during the correction, where the price went down to $80, the timing was

so cool seeing how much profits they gained this year. It's all about trust, BNB together with BTC and ETH can serve as your long term investment.

You should always check gas fee before make a transaction. You can check ETH gas fee here https://etherscan.io/gastracker.

This is the pick hour. ETH gas price is less on 4-6 Am (UTC 0). If you do the transaction at that time, you can do the transaction at a much lower fee.
You are right, depending on the time zone, you can catch the moment when the price of gas is cheaper, in my region it is earlier in the morning. A couple of times I had to get up early in the morning to send several transactions, since the prices are just crazy during the day.

You need to check first the fees before executing your transaction,

as how those post above the timing have a good impact when  sending your tokens,
we don't have any information about when or if there's any way that the fees will be decreased.

It's been a long time now, and it's been discuss numbers of times about this issue, ETH still don't
bring any long term solution about this concern.
