Re: Crypto owner losses ≈ $1 million after fake job interview

- Always be careful and suspicious. It's still unclear what kind of Microsoft Teams meeting Alex attended. He claims it was an official link, but who knows. Fake links with extensions and scripts are shared this way. One wrong click and you invite malware and drainers into your system.
Thanks for this, I use to apply and get interviewed many times and I think that I am fortunate that I don't have to download any of the software that they might require to. If it's an official link maybe there's sort of instruction or test that they want him to do and so, the download is required. I'll take note of this if ever I apply again for some jobs that I see and will be cautious to verify that I won't just download them. Also, I'll use a different device that has nothing anything on it but for some casual browsing use only, not having any crypto wallets at all.

However, instead of making them feel happy, gambling actually becomes an addiction, which further exacerbates their stress and depression.
That is a sad effect that happens in real life. If they were successfully able to quit beforehand and came back due to stress and depression, they've just added more damage to themselves. They thought that it will be the solution for them to relieve those but at the end of the day, they are unsuccessful relieving it and yet, they've become addicted to it because of how they've misled themselves by thinking that it could help. Well, maybe somehow that it did but they can't control the damage that it can be done to them and so, that's how they end up become.

When he returns for the second time, the losses incurred and the negative impacts will be worse than before, and it will be much more difficult to recover from his gambling addiction. People need to know that gambling is only about momentary pleasure, not a place to relieve stress or depression. The outcome of gambling is uncertain. While winning may bring temporary relief, losing—especially in large amounts—can lead to increased stress and frustration.
I agree, the impacts will more negative and heavier than the first one that the gambler encounters it. And that's why if someone who's managed to get out and quit and set his life for good. He shouldn't go back but I know that they can't resist that because it's already in their hearts to gamble again. They'll be back for sure and that's why it won't change them as a gambler. Even if they have quit already because from time to time, they'll look again to it and instead of moving forward, they're going to be back and will move backward to see where they've come from.

I think these kinds of breakdowns need to be validated by the other publishers and researchers or whoever they are. But I am not surprised to see familiar names like stake because it's known that they have a huge sponsorship from almost every sport that they can get. And to some of those that are new and their names are there, we should be happy that they're also recognized. Seeing names that also have their active threads in the forum is what makes us feel that we're not left out in the crypto gambling industry when we're very familiar with the majority of the names from that rankings.

Re: Philippine House has introduced a bill to establish a strategic bitcoin reserve.

I also hope that it won't happen to my beloved country because the corruption here is very rampant. And it's in the news locally and internationally on how the funds were misused by the congressmen, and there's a lot of politics happening here. We're just done with the mid term elections just this May of this year and then, we're still 3 years ahead of the next one. But what politicians do are preparing for the next one already, they're not for the service of the people but only to themselves and pockets. I'm hopeful that this proposed bill for Bitcoin strategic reserve will be studied well and won't be a cause for another corruption.

If politicians want to be corrupt, they have a myriad of ways to be corrupt, and even if they want to engage in corruption through a bitcoin reserve bill. We can't do anything about them, so don't worry and think too much because it's beyond our control.

What we should focus on is hoping they can pass this bill and hoping other countries will follow suit. From there, the demand for bitcoin will increase, the price will increase and we will benefit as well.
We've been suffering a lot because of the wrong budget allocations. I am not saying that if this bill becomes a real thing and a law but these corrupt politicians in our country will steal in a paper and real projects. Or if not, they'll only allocate a small portion while they taking away the majority of the funding. I am in hope of passing this bill but, these politicians are very tricky and smart when it's about stealing the funds of the public. I'm just worried that the money, the taxes that we've worked for will be stolen and will only be allotted little to this good reserve.

However, if the government of that country is corrupt and wants to run a project with Bitcoin to make money without any proper plan, then it will be unfortunate for that country, but I hope that none of this happens to the Philippines. And they will invest based on what they can afford, adopting the best strategy possible.

Re: Do you consider bitcoin as a currency or as a digital investment asset

I believe bitcoin is created to be used as a currency, but I don’t think the government is open about that.
It was, and even without the government's approval, the usage of it as a currency is still there and not gone. But due to the volatility that it possesses, many understood how valuable it will be in the future and that's why all of us are holding.

It’s rare to see shops and stores in my country who accept bitcoin as a payment system.
Yeah, I've looked for some but I don't even want to spend it but the majority of the stores in our country doesn't accept it and not yet ready for them. But when I see one, my heart pumps and I'm happy but even I, I just want to hold it rather than spend it.

Re: Government banning of casinos are at their own loss.
by
bhadz
on 07/09/2025, 20:33:51 UTC
That's what happened in our country. When they have implemented a ban for online casinos, the gamblers have found a way to continue gambling. And despite that there is a huge revenue for the government, they're trying to balance things because it's also making a lot of gambling addicts. So, in the end, they have chosen to regulate them for them to keep on making revenue from the casinos taxes and then, they've made some measures so that users won't be able to gamble easily anymore through our e-wallets.
People want to do will do no matter what that is why we still have crimes all over the world even if it's prohibited by law so that is not the solution to end it. If they don't want their people to end up on roads because they though they can become rich from gambling then educate and create awareness about gambling and it's consequences so they will approach the gambling in the right way this is the long term solution but all the government looks for a quick fix rather than thinking about the future.
I agree, that's one of the best solutions out there and is to educate people about the effects of it if they're not going to change. To raise awareness will take double effort from the government and that's why if they will ban it, these people will only go somewhere else to have it done by themselves.

With now the development of the internet makes it easy for many things to do and access, although some have difficulty accessing it but that is humans, they do not lose ways to be able to outsmart it so sometimes there are people who can get ways to access things that previously could not be accessed.
I think that the government like this has chosen the wrong decision. Like in my country which is indeed prohibited gambling, but they still provide access to the community to be able to reach it, it is just possible indirectly (in their own way).
They have to remove that access if they have prohibited that because if not, people will still gamble anyways. And so, if they are serious with what they're doing to restrict their people from these online casinos, they need to do better but they're not doingi t.

Banning has more bad consequences than good, it will force the existing players to look for places that are not regulated where they might feel less secure to KYC and other things.

We will be in different situations where we have no choice but to sell a portion of our holdings. Don't feel guilty when doin that because that's also the reason why we're holding, and that's to be profitable and what we'll do with profits? to solve the problems that we're currently facing. Some holders are guilt tripping themselves thinking that it's a bad decision that they have sold. But the reality isn't like that, even the rich people have to sell when they're in need and so are we that are just shrimps on this market. We can sell anytime we have to and be happy with it because we can always get that back through DCA.
It's disturbing to sell knowing it's not the worth of the asset. The pain may not be now, like everyone who has ever sold, during the bull run regrets always sets in and tend to worsen the mistake. However, nothing wrong with selling for a financial responsibility, nobody would own money and wouldn't solve monetary related dispute or problems or needs. In addition it's always great to have other sources that'll argument such needs, instead of touching the Bitcoin.
Don't feel guilty when you're in a situation and your Bitcoin holdings will be the solution for you to solve it. If it isn't requiring you to sell all that you've got, much better. And if you're able to use other assets that you have rather than your Bitcoin, then it's also a better choice to opt to. Because not everyone holds a lot of Bitcoin and even the small mBTCs that we have, not everyone can afford to save it as well. So, if there is an option to do it, better to think of other ways as well but if you have no choice but to sell some of your holdings. Still, don't feel bad about it and just DCA again in recovering those sold BTCs you owned before.

I always check the disclaimer before believing that they're a kyc-free. I think it's all about marketing when they say that but, the real thing it's just for smaller amounts of wins. And once the casino notices that there's a bump to the amount you gamble and how much you're winning, that's where they're changing their rule because they've written it all along. That, they have all the rights to change the policies prior to abuse or anything in relation of verification and compliance to the government that they are part of its jurisdictions.

They are now rolling over the profits they've made from the shitcoins that they've made. I've heard that there's a ruling now that the white house is restricting the Congress from trading stocks. And so, if that's already a thing, then this shouldn't be allowed as well for them to avoid conflict of interest. But if it's only the politicians and not any immediate family that's allowed to trade, then that's the loophole of these rules that they're making. While they're in the position, they're going to take all of the possible chances to make a lot of money.

Re: Parlays vs straight bets
by

on 05/09/2025, 23:31:18 UTC
Combination bets have their uses. The biggest challenge is that all the included events need to be successful to generate a significant profit. In practice, however, most people use this type of bet more for fun, combining several unlikely events. And that's precisely what makes it even more interesting: the excitement it provides.
The fun is there and they don't mind losing even for once and so they can still do that next time if they fail. But if someone who's serious with their bets in parlays, they won't just do it for fun. They have an aim and that's to make some money out of it and even so, there's a reason why they're doing that. The potential of money in parlays are greater but of course, we know that the risk is higher than the usual. Once it's already started, it can't be helped to stop doing it repeatedly because as you've said, it's true that the excitement that it gives is unmeasured.

There shouldn't be pressure whenever an investor is selling at a price higher than the price of purchase. If i am in urgent need and selling part or 10% will help solve the problem, i won't hesitate twice before selling, obviously i am in profits that is the main cast for investing in Bitcoin. Buy low and sigh high, always remaining profitable.

on 05/09/2025, 04:21:53 UTC
Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing where a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer they generate.
In my country, many people have already become successful affiliates, and quite a few others want to do the same, including my coworker, who is currently starting out as a skincare affiliate. Her profits aren't that significant yet, but I always support her because even having that desire is a good step.

And yes, the key is in the marketing, because if the marketing is not interesting then maybe no one will be interested in buying the product being marketed, luckily my aunt is quite good at marketing because she is also a woman so she is most likely good at speaking. With my friend herself, she does not use her own audio text, but she only videos the product and provides information also filled with trending music, this might be a little difficult for the product to rise or go viral and many people
The same in my country. Because of how convenient online shopping has been, there are a lot of products to get affiliated with. Just register on the online shopping that's very popular in our country, we've got 2 so far and just promoting the link alone on social media will be fine and you'll get the commission once the sales are successful. It's not costly but you'll have to make the marketing very convincing and it's up to you on how you'll make those promotional videos. So, you're right that marketing is the key to it and it's passive income once you're able to establish those links, promotional videos, articles and any other marketing materials.

I was optimistic before to meet, buy and sell to other people in person because we share common interest for Bitcoin. This was like a decade ago and when I was still new to Bitcoin. But realizing that there's a need to be protected from the harmful people that also share the same interest but have a bad intention during meet ups. That's why even if the centralized exchanges don't have better rates, that's what I am choosing to do my business when I am about to sell or buy. It's safer and hassle free, although I'm still leaning forward to meet real good people that share the same interest about Bitcoin but, there's no need to disclose of how much we hold.
