2 days without update, without post... without anything... are this thread is dead?  Cry

With current mining stats: 8 diffi, 640 Net Hash and 700 satoshi exchange:
Investing .77btc into mining generates 1BTC in 12 days with 100-110MHs rental...

1BTC in 12 days netting .23btc.  This coin is comparable to Dark and Crypt Coin. Dark came out in Jan 2014 and now is like $10 and Crypt is a month ago and is now $0.40.

Get your PHC

Please do, contact Mike Scofield or phcoin member id or phcoin.org website

I get cloudfare (wait 5 seconds) before comkort opens up.

normal or not normal?  anyone else getting this popup during the first load of the comkort link?

Cloudflare is a company that provides web security frontend as well as other features if you pay for them. Its normal depending how comkort uses cloudflare.

FYI for those who wants to sell PHC for BTC.

I can say as a guideline for the cost of PHC can be the cost to rent a rig and mine PHCOIN on a pool. Some stats:
renting rate from .0007-.0009 (PRICE/MHs/Day) for 24 hours for a 10 MHs miner is .007 -.009 BTC ($4.13-$5.31) when 1 BTC=$590 with the following pool stats:
500MH/s pool hash, 6.3-6.8 Difficulty, expected shares to solve a block of 1700, 8 contributors = 1400-1600 PHC per day or $0.00258-$0.00295 on the low side of cost. So an example would be 50,000 PHC * $0.00258/PHC= $129 and $129/$590 of btc= 0.2186BTC for 50,000PHC or 437 satoshi or 0.00000437 btc/phc

Also Note On Low Side of Cost:
When pool stats are 200-250MH/s, difficulty 2-2.9, expected shares to solve a block of 780, 8 contributors = 3000-5000 PHC generation per day when the network hash rates are low. The unit cost range now is $0.000826-$0.00137 or (0.07BTC-0.116 for every 50k PHC), thats 140-232 satoshi. This condition is rare... usually 300-400 MHs network hash rate is normal.

On High Side of Cost:
some people are renting roughly .33btc or 330MHs for 24hrs and PHC generation is 44k-50k PHC at pool stats in the 500-550MH/s range. Thats 660 satoshi

Random roll give-away 0.2 -2 PHC each Smiley

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637825.new#new

That is a nice distribution model going forward. A lottery/random drawing on phcointalk is also a ok way to track critical-mass. Other way is to hit the phcoin facebook fan page and those who put up a "like" get a PHC (just post PHC wallet) or the number of views on a PHC Centric video will get that youtuber that many PHC and something can be done with twitter ...... I think reddit and multi-forum post are harder to track though. Hosting an event "lunch-n-learn" to a group of friends should also be rewarded too.

Most IPOs are successful because the people know about a company BEFORE it will be publicly available. Your theory lacks logic... Oh, maybe you are right. As quality does not matter for most coins that you are probably involved in, just to be listed although nobody knows the product behind it might be good! Building a community first can seriously help as it might absorb heavy dumps from people like you.
If you don't consider this coin a pump and dump, why would it gain volume on any exchange if nobody knows about it? If it gained volume, it would only be the people that also play lottery in their free time...
The PHCoin tries to build a product. I am not sure whether they have a chance, but it's a good sign that it's NOT the exchange listing that they are pushing hard at first. Would make me nervous considering the premine. Damn, you seem to have put a lot of thinking into your advice that there is nothing that's better to raise public attention than a listing on an exchange. My god.... too many of you around here...

Yes, I agree. The route you guys are taking is the route that all new coins are taking. Listing a coin on an exchange is the last thing phcoin needs. It will follow suite with all miners and early holders to dump and line pockets with btc. Holding the phcoin is best for the mission. the mission is to get jobs and sell the skills of philippines to the world. PHCoin is only a medium. The cause should be sold to the community and not the "coin". Having it on an exchange only allows people to consider it like any coin for profit and the community will lose focus that the cause or mission is what the community needs to hear and propagate.

so whats the best pool so far for this coin?

So far, the phc.suchpool.pw has been good, not great, but good to me. As of Friday , it seems that this pool generates 90% of network hashrate. Indicative that it may be 1 of 2 pools available.

on cpu mining i use sphminer directory which uses sgminer.
"minerd.exe -a X11 -o stratum+tcp://stratum1.suchpool.pw:3325 -u myuser -p mypasswd -t (number here depends on how many cores you wanna use) -q"

so for a 4 core cpu -t 1 for 1 core or -t 4 for 4 cores or -t 3 to use 3 out of the 4 cores.

my 8 core is newer so i opted to use the PHCoin-cpuminer-1.3-avx-aes-windows-binaries directory and use minerd-aes-sse2-sss3.exe. i renamed the files and directory for easy typing...so likewise for a 8 core cpu -t 8 for all 8 cores or for me since i use my computer i just run 6 cores out of the eight my -t is -t 6

on gpu mining i use  the sgminer directory which users sgminer
"sgminer -k darkcoin -o stratum+tcp://stratum1.suchpool.pw:3325 -u myuser -p mypasswd --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://stratum2.suchpool.pw:3325 -u myuser -p mypasswd -I 13"    - change -I to a number for intensity i don't go over 18 and user 13 if you use the computer at same time.

Also, Stay Away from OMARGPOOLS.CA/PHC.... there is something wrong with their pool. It seems they have orphaned blocks since their last confirmed block of 287.  Since then they have not produced a confirmed block and have over 881% shares submitted which translate to bad luck.
