A guy saw this very stupid shit: "C:>cd.." and said:

To be fair, the the guy came up with C:>cd.., 8088 was a non-starter for GUI, and, by the time A:>cd.. turned to C:>cd.., he was doing pretty well.

man come on, "dumbest person" understanding bitcoin, or even ever be in the need of it before any other tangible life basic need is dul, and im staying polite here.

It's true, the more dumb a person is, the less needs it have, and the more animalistic it is.

For example dumb people have only 3 needs: food, water, sex.

And as person is more and more intelligent, it starts to develop a need to hoard BTCeanie BTCabies beetcoins.

It's true!
Those with excess cerebral capacity, i.e. those not exhausting it to satisfy the lower tiers of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, develop irrational "adult play" behaviors, presumably to occupy this excess waking time. Hoarding is quite common.
Had a very intelligent ferret when I was a kid. Pens stared vanishing around the house. Eventually found them all in a heap, in a corner, under my bed.
All pens/pen-like things in the house ended up in that heap again, eventually. I'd move the bed, get all the pens, and have to do it all over again. Buying more pens was not a solution 00 if there were pens to hoard, he'd find them and stick them on his heap.
A most intelligent animal.

While the forum might not be finished, it is certainly working. You don't know what you're talking about.
I suppose. In the same sense that a junk Luger is working: it don't shoot, but you can still hit people over the head with its butt Smiley

Its really not that people are dumb, its the design that we have a need to follow the flock like sheep. ...

The reason sheep flock is because it's life-affirming.
Sheep that stray may feel like they're lions, but that's just craziness. Straying didn't actually turn them into lions, Evildrum; they're still sheep.
Edgy, annoying sheep, sheep that will soon be torn limb from limb by real lions, or just get run over by a truck, but sheep nevertheless Sad

The thing you don't get about money is this: The more people use it, the more useful it is.
You can have the best money ever, but if you're the only one? It's one hundred percent *worthless*.

ohh no rush here, 2 years is literally nothing, for such low-cost project as new forum, you know:)
Probably better this way.
Guessing 95 to 97% of the posts nowadays are made with the sole purpose of farming accounts/spamming sig ads.

TL;DR: At best, this will show that Bitcoin enthusiasts don't have a smidgen of common sense between them; are not to be trusted with money; will spend 2.5 million dollars US for shit that is free. Scratch that, "an unfinished, untested version of what they could have had for free."

The TSA just paid IBM $1,400,000 for an iPad app that randomly chooses left or right.

https://kev.inburke.com/kevin/tsa-randomizer-app-cost-336000/

So you're telling me that a government agency might have paid too much on an iPad app*?
And got, at least, a working app?*
For roughly half as much as Thermos "spent" on an unfinished, non-working version of software which is available FOR FREE? Shocked

*from linked article by intrepid journalist who wants to be the Julian Assage of Transportation Security Administration:
"Unfortunately we don't know everything the TSA got for that $1.4 million. They might have just gotten the iPad app; they might have gotten iPads, or work on multiple different apps, including the TSA Randomizer. We only know it's associated with the TSA Randomizer based on the FOIA request that returned this document."

Yeah but the problem is majority of people are not aware about bitcoin and that is the reason WU is enjoying its existence but thing will change in future for sure.

Serious question: where do you live and how often do you use WU? I've used WU twice. In my life. Both times -- emergencies.
So unless you use WU daily, you're comparing the price of an ambulance ride to the cost of riding a bus.

... comparing a game currency with bitcoin is pointless.

Why? What should Linden Labs do to increase the value of Lindens?
Why not set up some Linden/Litecoin exchanges in Second Life? Do game mechanics allow for something like that? (never played)

Bitcoin is digital and cannot be compared to Second life.

Second Life being analog, Mohamed?

And two years later, Bitcoin comes along. What is the difference really like?
If I understood the meaning behind this, indirectly the person has said that Bitcoin is no different than Second Life. Comparing Bitcoin to a virtual world does not make sense. Seems like this CEO missed out on Bitcoin as well.

Man, no one understands how cool and totally special our bitcoin is.
Just ignore the h80rz, Lauda.

OTOH, hard to see much difference between buying bitcoins with real money, & buying Lindens.
Other than Second Life community having been around a bit longer & not currently tearing itself to pieces, that is.

I'm sure Lindens are the next remittance craze, here's a good place to start: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Buying-and-selling-Linden-dollars/ta-p/700107
*Haven't actually read that, but seems like a good place to start...
P.S. If you're a Linden enthusiast like I know I am, consider just buying and HODLING your Lindens.

Gee, I wonder where you fit in  Grin

Not sure, "Be slightly evil"? If you're thinking "sociopaths," those are the likes of Barry Shillbert/Danny Brewster in that article.
By that guy's thinking, Bitcoin is in the last death throes; 99% "mops," (~30% of those seeing themselves as "sociopaths"), and the rest disillusioned "creators" turned "sociopath"/"evils." Sad

Let's assume that we reach a new ATH of $1,700, what do you do?

If i would have the chance then i would immediately sell a part of my savings in bitcoin for cash, then the other part i would invest in any altcoin and/or i would hold the bitcoin for a longer time.

lol why in the world would you invest in some sh*t-coin ? Dont even uderstand the selling part.. Bitcoin is like wine,
