From what i understand, anon transaction fees are paid back to stakeholders of cloak. Same will happen with OneMarket transaction fees. So the real PoS rate is much higher than the 6% annual.

And there is no minimum amount of coins to hold to stake, so dont have to invest $10k for a node or something else.

Yeah mining is great way to learn crypto, but depreciation is terrible and getting worse day by day. Started off learning with mining, turned my first $70 of litecoin into half a bitcoin in 2weeks trading. Sold rig, took hit on depreciation and never looked back. I do panic mine using betarigs website rofl, but 4 out of 5 times i should have bought at market price or wait for market to settle down instead of renting.

Any ideas how proposed NY regulations will affect Veribit? Unfortunately i see states like Illinois will follow similar guidelines if they go into effect.

i mean private listings would have to be broadcast by the listee if not integrated into search UI. I.E. you would have to find your target audience and risk discovery; private messaging people, using irc, or wherever to find customers. So if you sell something illicit or illegal (where you live) you are taking the risk of finding a customer outside of the UI to see your listing. You benefit from the escrow system and anonymization of transaction, but risk telling the wrong person about your illicit activities and risk discovery by authorities etc..

to me this seems like less liability for developers/average joe cloak person getting a onejury bounty.
this way we dont get authorities browsing all our listings all time looking for illegal activity and or entrapment issues?

private listings/transactions that opt out of onejury fee (no fees = less liability correct?) sounds good. This means private listings will lose the search functions and ease of access provided by core ui and thus serve niche markets and face risk of discovery themselves for illegal activity. Sounds good to me, what am i missing?

even for day traders, the price spread is very lucrative considering volume, 10% swings by the quarter hour it seems, with miners setting the floor when confidence is down at near .005 . Basically short term investing is a win here as well.

I have investments in less risky crypto to offset what i have in uro in case of loss. The risk/reward potential is greater than any P&D coin, 4-10btc is nothing. If it fails, i will lean on profits from other crypto to break even. If it booms i buy a house :p

and the lead time for production/shipment, and resale of URO is going to be several months... Still a long term investment with regards to crypto, as original thread title said haha.

Looking at the rich list, the top 5 have now 1/3 of total supply. I am not sure if the first one is exchange wallet or just an address that has been mining since early on.

Tips for new investors, buy at market price some but setup buy orders to also catch dumps at lower prices to best alter your weighted average and maximize profit potential. Never underestimate dumpers, as market factors (like mintpal hack) and individuals fudding or selling thanks to short term opportunities always creates some downward pressure.

Plenty of chances to buy in at great prices thanks to volatility of altcoin markets (cant believe i picked up bunch of coins at .00067 last night on bittrex).

regarding alibaba:

most listing are not manufacturers but trade companies with small amount of employees your talking about. They are the middlemen in the export market, helping find buyers and negotiating terms with companies. Generally, you really have to weed through many listings to get to manufacturer source. Over the years though, manufacturers have increased presence on the trade websites like alibaba etc. Due to manufacturing constraints depending on industry, large minimum orders are standard for manufacturing b2b trade.

lived in china 3 years sourcing and exporting ceramic to ME/North Africa market. For ceramic manufacturers, min orders are for 3 Heavy Duty Containers each carrying approx 25tons of cargo. This represents the cost/efficiency of producing a specific item/order on a production line where costs increase by stopping the line for each new product/order (changing the paint screens/compression, setup etc). Each tile design is 3container min im saying.

12500 tons of urea seems alot, but as others have pointed out bulk freight (open ships) are used for many commodities including lumber etc. Also you have to suspect urea production is all demand market; you need to secure purchase orders to sustain manufacturing. BC released blackhalo trading decentralized platform beta today, can go download it on their thread (uses bitmessage too).  Hasnt effected market price yet. Played around with it little, interface needs to be little more user friendly. But in end i like how fees/escrows benefit cloak stakers as described in here, overall more cloak centralized marketplace which brings value back to us coinholders/investors.
