Re: ICOs are a legit or Scam?

Hi Guys,

Im pretty keen to understand more about ICOs and intend to invest in some.
ANY recommended ICOs and any advise how you guys determine whether is it a legit or Scam?

Thanks in advance.

Most ICOs are scam. In order to pick up a worthwhile project, just pay attention to what makes any project being a real project:
 - understandable and reachable idea and/or concept (something, what is gonna be useful/used by you/used by loads of people);
 - solid wp and understandable roadmap;
 - website;
 - presence of MVP;
 - linkedin profiles of team members (they in their turn must be very experienced and competent in the area they're working in);
 - media coverage;
 - active community support, etc.

These are the criteria of a promising and successful project, including one my most favorite - Cryptics. Check it out, it's the example of a trustworthy project

1)which all are the upcoming ICO's.
2)which all re worthy in upcoming icos.

To me the best upcoming ICO right now is Cryptics. This is ICO project (taking place in the end of August), which is specialized in delivering AI based crypto forecasts, and the team is about to add the trading engine, trading bots, decentralized funds, without speaking of bonuses and giveaway campaign with Lambo as a first prize. Check it out if interested, the project is gonna blow your mind, I'm telling ya

Re: Do you believe in ICO Ratings?
by

on 29/06/2018, 18:42:57 UTC
I see many Websites that provide ratings for ongoing ICOs or for the future. Examples such as the ICObench.com Website, ICOrating.com and others.

Which is my question whether you believe in the rating provided by the website. Seeing many ICO's do not match what they value. Many ICOs are arguably good ratings but when the token sales of the project only reach softcap. And there are projects that I see have a fairly mediocre rating but their token sales reach hardcap. I took the example of Lalaworld on ICObench.com they get Rating 3.7 but their token is sold out.

So let's discuss ICO Rating!

No, I don't. Prefer to make own judgements based on my own researching. In order to pick up a worthwhile project, just pay attention to what makes any project being a real project:
 - understandable and reachable idea and/or concept (something, what is gonna be useful/used by you/used by loads of people);

Re: How to avoid ICO scam
by

on 29/06/2018, 18:41:46 UTC
I mean, is there an exact list of rules that could guarantee that someone who follows them will surely not become a victim of another ICO scam. Of course there are obvious rules like event participation, reputation of team members among ather prifessionals, approve by well-known advisors. But potential scammers also know all these criteria and know what to fake exactly.

Is there a 'blockchain way' to create an algorithm, scheme or set of conditions allowing to recognise and ban scammers? Not government laws way which also good for the market in my opinion.

Would be appreciate a link to an old thread, perhaps I just didn't find it.

UPD Best Advices:
  • learn about previous ICO projects, select viable ones and participate similar ICOs
  • invest in an ICO with a working prototype only

Which one was your best ICO you invested in? How much money did you make?

I've invested in Cryptics ICO, participated in the presales for now. Project is specialized in AI based forecasts, integrating trading engine, trading bots, funds, etc. Before the presales they've released their alpha MVP, now it's under free trial access, so everyone is able to test it right now. One of my acquaintances has made 230% profit while trading with it's help, as for me - I'm waiting for the full version. ICO upcoming in August

Re: Five Tips for Investing in ICOs
by
cryptajunkie
on 28/06/2018, 19:30:12 UTC
No doubt about it, there is cash to be made in ICOs – the most recent a year alone observed over $1.5 billion brought up in coin contributions and a portion of the tokens have gone from simple pennies to over $50 (all the more as of late Antshares, now known as NEO) – however you need to contribute judiciously, which is the reason we are here with 5 hints for putting resources into introductory coin contributions.

1) It's All About the Team
The above all else thing you need to do is investigate the group behind the undertaking. This is the place most ICOs are sifted through in the event that you are cautious.
Go to their site, take a gander at their about page, note down names all things considered, administrators, and counsels. Any genuine ICO crusade will have a decent measure of data on the group backing it. You ought to have the capacity to get names, pictures and even connections to social profiles like LinkedIn and Twitter.
Try not to stop here – go look at their profiles, take a gander at ventures they did before the ICO and what sort of progress they accomplished. On the off chance that you feel something is out of order, don't proceed without clearing all questions.
In the event that you keep running into an ICO with a mysterious group or almost no data, remain away no matter what. Individuals 'make' ventures, not thoughts or advertising. Regardless of how professional everything looks, if the general population behind it are not fit, you will get no place.

2. Sweep Bitcointalk Forum
The Bitcointalk.org gathering is the true declaration (ANN) center point for all ICOs. Sweep the ANN post for the ICO you're occupied with and search for real remarks instead of promotion from sock-manikin accounts.
Indeed, even on the discussion, there is a considerable measure of phony data, so it is best to go over remarks from more established, trustworthy individuals. Search for inquiries and how the improvement group has addressed them. Additionally, be watchful for any warnings – terms, for example, 'trick', 'pre-mine', 'mlm' and so forth.
Going over the ICOs Bitcointalk string will give you a decent outline and potentially some valuable discourses or depictions to enable you to comprehend the task better.

3. Read the Whitepaper
Each ICO needs to release a whitepaper, which is a point by point record of the errand, the separation from the arrangement to the specific execution.
Consistently these are long and stacked with allegory and dialect, which may seem, by all accounts, to be incredible to the uninitiated anyway should fill in as notice signs for you when overcompensated.
In case the whitepaper presents the endeavor as "a dynamic blockchain based interconnected focus point that licenses steady floods of information which empower vital correspondence and make trustless esteem based records that are irreversible and obscure" – it may sound great, anyway you are not by any stretch of the imagination getting any accommodating information.
A portion of the things you have to keep an eye out for include:
• The names of the advancement group and their counsels
• The essential thought displayed obviously (what is it and what does it do?)
• Regardless of whether the utilization of blockchain is basic to the undertaking or constrained for it
• Is there a business opportunity for the item/benefit? Who are the current contenders?
• The verification of idea work or if nothing else specialized depiction of how it will be executed
• The utility of the token or coin being conveyed
• The measure of cash to be raised and what could possibly be done it
• The guide for future advancements

ICO particulars like the hard top, number of tokens and course of events of dissemination, and so forth.
Without seeing these things, you can't in any way, shape or form put resources into any ICO. For example, if there is no hard top in an ICO, it implies there is no restriction to the measure of cash that can be raised or the quantity of tokens that will be disseminated. This will normally prompt a substantial supply, and request will decrease, influencing token cost.

Thus, regardless of whether the thought appears to be strong, if there is no market for it, it will confront an extreme time increasing certifiable footing, which will lessen token incentive not far off.

You need to comprehend that no venture will make you rich medium-term unless it has genuine potential, ease of use and the group backing it to make the vision a reality. A great deal of things meet up for putting resources into an ICO to pick up an incentive in the market and a considerable measure of times what you will read will sound pipe dream. Try not to be hesitant to haul out on the off chance that you are not fulfilled.

4. Check Out the Community
Community support is key, not only for an effectiveICO but growth later on. Most ICOs today have community hubs on popular platforms like Reddit, Slack and Telegram. Visit each one of these| communities and observe the conversations.

A effective and lively improvement crew will share updates frequently and preserve you inside the loop about development in phrases of the described roadmap. This is also the time with the intention to ask any questions and clean any doubts you could have about the assignment. Another time, be wary of sock-puppet debts producing false hype.

5. Don’t hazard the whole thing and Don’t sell at the primary opportunity
That’s pieces of recommendation for the charge of one. Permit’s say you’re prepared to put money into an ICO and you’ve finished all of the research. At this point, a few people are inclined to go all in in the hopes of creating it big.

That’s a big mistake.

Sure, the ICO may work massive, and sure you may remorse not going all in, but there is a bigger chance that it won't turn out to be everything it promised – in which case you may have wiped your self out absolutely.
In this exceptionally unstable marketplace, you cannot have enough money to threat the whole thing. In case you really need to achieve success investing in ICOs, you have to stay thru a hard patch to combat every other day. And there are going to be many rough patches.

That being stated, if matters do pass properly and you begin seeing token charges rising, don’t simply promote at the first possibility. If you have already taken the threat, provide it a few extra time. There are folks that sold Ethereum and Antshares (now NEO) as soon as they went up by means of some bucks. Ethereum went directly to upward thrust from beneath $20 to almost $four hundred inside a year. In case you’re already on the teach, don’t be in a rush to get off.

Finally, the golden rule. Don’t make investments what you may’t have enough money to lose
That’s curious about now; we hope this submit helped you pick out up on the important elements that need to be considered before any ICO investment. Experience loose to drop a remark underneath with any questions you can have.
Thanks for reading

This is garbage, a token is not needed for this, but I guess an ICO is an easy way to make money.
Don't invest people!

Realtalk, mate, everything just looks wack. The more I search the web, the more I figure out there're really less and less decent and interesting projects. I'll better go following Cryptics project, since I believe it's a lot more fascinating and promising

This market is new. Is there a way to identify a potential ICO for me to invest in it? Many times I see ICO scam I only smile at the time wasted without profit. It's hard

Take a look at Cryptics. To me they've got all the signs and features of trustworthy, promising project. Their task was to apply AI powers to deliver crypto forecasting, and I'm sure they've done a great job with more to do in the future. I've participated in the presales, and now giveaway campaign and ICO upcoming. So, check it out, if interested, that's gonna be awesome

If you're looking for a promising project, take a look at Cryptics, mate! One of few decent projects out there with interesting and reachable idea of AI forecasting platform, strong team and participation terms. I think you might get interested, I myself participated in their presales, and about to take part in ICO. Without speaking of their giveaway campaign, where the first prize is goddamn real Lambo!

I certainly understand your increase in this project, but still you need to make the right decision and do the analysis yourself and study the technical documentation. In particular, you need to pay attention to the team, on which all the prosperity of the project depends.

Yup, realtalk. I've been looking closely at Cryptics for like 2-3 months, and I feel solid about their website, wp, alpha mvp (released before presales), linkedin profiles of team members, active community support. Hope to use it fully in the near future.

For me the best in 2018 is Cryptics. This is the forecasting platform which does use 100% self-learning AI. They have already had a good MVP. Their AI does analyze the market of crypto currency and make daily, hourly and four-hourly forecasts for the different matches of cryptos, some exchanges and for the market. There will also be opportunity to trade and make investments. In September they are going to launch a trading bot on the platform. I believe in the success of this platform.

Btw, I was advised by one good trader to check up this Cryptics. I think it worth attention if so many people write about this platform.

Hm, I believe that it is gaining popularity, there are more and more people from all over, who talk about it. I think there's something worthy in it, thinking of investment

It may just be a boss's joke. Let investors join then dump, to get rich!

I don't know, the market's crazy right now. At least I've got Cryptics platform to be approximately informed about the nearest market's oscillations, but anyway. Just hoping for the great development of platform

Not sure about this one, but i think this is only another ICO project which came from Krypital. After they finished their CyberMiles, Arcblock, Merculet and now they will be going for Egretia (The partnership even has been started). 3 Project ICOs before surely have raised a lot of money during their ICO

Same feeling, but I think it's at least worth looking at. Along with Cryptics, it's among my most anticipated projects.

I think the rapidly developing ICO market is a positive thing for the whole blockchain technologies, and in the future we will see some kinds of ICO activity regulation which will beat the scam projects.

I hope in efficiency of such a tool to prevent scam projects from even advertising themselves. 'Coz nowadays it's really hard to find a reliable and trustworthy project, I've found only a couple of them - among them is Cryptics, EXCAVO and so on.
