I have sent Gbytes for 6 hours and the process is still unconfirmed. does this have the same issue?

This is the first time I made a deposit in Gbytes android app.
Your help will be greatly appreciated. thanks .
Really? Are you serious, mate?
Today, I have not sent my bytes, but in the past everything done very very fast.
By the way, Cryptopia exchange got troubles with Byteball transactions in the last few weeks, so please be carefull if you have intention to send your coins to the one.
There are lots of users, especially Byteball signature participants complained about Cryptopia exchange's deposits.
I am serious and try to do it. I do not use exchange. oh it turns out I've found the problem that happened at this time.
Apparently there is maintenance on the server byteball. I opened the group and finally saw much clearer information.
what group? on fb or...?

Cryptosphere has its own lingo and it takes a little getting used to. Maybe this term started as a gaff, or typo, whatever the reasons it stuck with the crypto community and is posthumously recognized and accepted to mean hold on for dear life, sounds about right and fits right into the sentiment too. Cheesy
So true. So many words were Greek to me when I first came into crypto. Some sites have compiled Crypto Words and their meanings articles to help newbs better understand the terms

Re: Cryptopia - HitBTC Affiliate Program Payments
by

I searched the forum but couldn't find a solution for my problem.
In Cryptopia.co.nz I have 200+ and in HitBTC I have around 400+ affiliates. These amounts are based on my mid. February records (in January they were both around 100 people).
My sister is on both exchanges trading for the last two months and she registered both exchanges with my referral id (I asked some other people who registered with my id, and they told me that they were also trading - but I just wanted to give my sister as an example cuz I witnessed her trading...)
Yet on both accounts (Cryptopia and HitBTC) my affiliate balance is "0 BTC, 0$" - no earning and no payment...
I tried to contact both exchanges on Twitter and their contact addresses but nope, no response...

Does anyone else have this issue? If so this has to be issued in the forum, I don't want people to get excited like I did when they had affiliates.

wow. thats disappointing. has this issue been resolved or are you still not getting paid?

Re: Reality of Ripple - centralized or decentralized?
by
cryptocastle007

There is a lot of accusations that ripple is more of centralized crypto which

these are not accusations, these are facts!
  • supply is in full control of a small group, the  creators behind it which are banks. they control almost all of it but technically they have more than 60% of the supply. that is 60 billion coins * ~$2 = $120 billion
  • there are not nodes run by peers! which is exact contrast of a decentralized network. instead the nodes are run by Banks and Ripple Labs
  • here is the best part: Ripple Labs can "freeze" your account aka your funds. they did it with John McCaleb funds who was the co-founder of ripple!
interestng. thanks for sharing.
can you explain to me the specific characteristics that make a coin centralized? Does having mored than 50% of the coins make it so?

imo this is the most promising fork of btc. clarify this for me- since they are using atomic swaps, mining is no longer needed to verify transactions?

Re: The evergreen question, Will Bitcoin survives in future?

Maybe, but I doubt it. This is because of the technology it is based upon. Especially when cloud computers come into existence. I have more hopes for coins using technologies like DAG.
