Strategy from a Professional Trader
by
david678345

Hi I saw a very interesting Strategy from a Professional Trader...and I was looking for a way to receive alerts when this trade setup happens in any cryptocurrency or forex pair, etc....

"The price action compresses and the MACD goes relatively FLAT for a period of 3-15 minutes

Second, we observe a break of the range, and an expansion of the Fast and Slow MacD lines

Third, we observe the price retracement that occurs and look for the FAST MACD to dip below the SLOW

The exact rules of ENTRY: When the FAST MACD moves back above the SLOW MACD, and BOTH are above the 0 line, we enter long "

My question is:

Is there any way to receive alerts when this trade setup occurs on any cryptocurrency or forex pair, etc (is a very specific setup, I dont think is a normal macd crossover etc... ..

I lost my crypto

I think I lost the crypto I had in my stormgain exchange account (StormGain has migrated its operation to the platform powered by YouHodler)

From now on I think I will only use exchanges that are on the top 50 or 100 by volume... or if you have other suggestions/filters when choosing an exchange?

Coinbase won't let me send my cryptos to another exchange

Coinbase won't let me send my cryptos to another exchange. What would be the best alternative?

Send my crypto to metamask? and then from metamask to the exchange?

Can I use usdc to transfer from coinbase to metamask? or best option is ethereum?

How much I would pay in fees to witdraw from metamask? lets say I send 5 dollars from metamask to another exchange....

Sat is short form of satoshi which the small unit of bitcoin. 1 BTC equals to 0.00000001 sat.

SATS is a BRC20 token that has nothing to do with bitcoin than using bitcoin blockchain for making transaction using bitcoin as fee. In short, SATS is an altcoins that make use of bitcoin network for making transaction.

I meant the altcoins SATS and 1000SATS

Yes I wanted to withdraw usdc and btc...but I think is cheaper to withdraw usdc..so I will just use usdc

When I want to withraw from coinbase it seems I cannot choose network..I wanted to deposit to exchange that offers bep20 and erc20 deposits...anyone familiar withdrawing from coinbase¿?

Writing down exactly what you want to withdraw from Coinbase would also be good. I hope you're not trying to send Bitcoin over these networks.
Also, if it is one of the tokens for ERC20 networks (for example) you must have Ethereum to pay the TX fee.

Coinbase does support multiple networks. The list of networks should show after you write the amount and all. What is it you're trying to withdraw?

But if I had to guess, I would say they probably don't support Binance's smart chain, as only a few exchanges support that. So if the coin only has two networks (BSC and Ethereum's) its probably withdrawing to the default one (Ethereum) but I would imagine that the withdrawal page does mention that.

turning losing tradings into breakeven trades
by

I have a question about turning losing tradings into breakeven trades

...Lets say I want to go long and instead  of using a stop loss I use a hedge position (in this case a short position). If price hits my hedge position then my negative PNL would be the size between the long and short position.

Would not be possible with Just another long and short position (DCA) to achieve that long and short position have the same entry price? so the negative PNL would be O?

Best Monitors for Trading

Hi I am having some eye problems that make it difficult for me to trade efficiently...

I trade from home and many days theres not lots of sunlight coming from outside (cloudy days etc)

I notice I have no problems reading from a tablet screen but my eyes get tired very easily when I read or trade using my computer screen (is a benq eye care monitor around 150 dollars)

Is there a way to configure my pc screen so it looks as similar as if I were reading from a tablet screen?

Or I have to buy a computer screen that use same material as tablet screens?

Re: Convert USDC for trading

I have 4 dollars in USDC is there a way to turn that usdc into usdt?
I cant find the usdc usdt pair in futurues in bingx
If you want to trade USDCUSDT contract (which is future trading pair), you are not converting USDC to USDT but you want to make money from trading the pair. Some exchanges like Bybit have such pairs but I do not trade stablecoin/stableccoin pair on derivative exchanges.

Go to spot and search for USDC, you will see USDC/USDT pair on BingX which is what you are looking for as you want to convert USDC to USDT.

Thanks I was able to convert it in spot..

Lets say I open a first position for 10usd then second position I want to open is 20usd (while the first positio is still running)

I select 20 usd in the exchange for the second position and the exchange opens a position for 17 instead of 20 for example..

I am using limit orders

I am using a strategy where for example the second position I open is double the first position (is just an example)....

I have tried different cryptocurrency exchanges but they open my order with a different amount than the one I had chosen...

do you guys know any cryptocurrency exchange that opens my orders exactly with the amount I choose?

Mathematical Trading Strategy
by
david678345
on 01/12/2024, 10:57:13 UTC
Hi I watched an interesting video about Mathematical Trading Strategy and I have a question..

lets say I have two points in the chart:

first point is the price entry (where I open a long position for example)

second point would be a TP, SL or another important price for my trading

IF I want to open a second position..exactly in the middle of the two points in the chart how can I calculate that point as fast as possible? or if I want to calculate another point at 75% between those two points?

Its a Mathematical Trading Strategy so I need that this new position is opened exactly in the middle of those two points  in this example

Re: calculate negative PNL
by
david678345
on 01/12/2024, 10:34:48 UTC
Yes I know the amount of money that I am losing but I want to know when my first posities reaches  negative 50% PnL (is for a strategy that I am using)
Look at the coin that I am trading presently. I will call it gambling because it is not a well known coin and it is very volatile but I want to use it to explain to you.

Right Image is when I am gaining right now. Left image is when I am losing. All taken right now as it is a coincidence to have both.

You can see the amount that I am winning in green. You can see the amount that I am losing in red. Beside both green profit and red loss, you can see the percentage loss or profit. I think it is called ROE. Return on Equity.

But if you increase your leverage, this will not be accurate. It has to be 1x. If you increase the leverage without increasing the position size, the amount you used will reduce in respect to the percentage, making the percentage profit and loss to increase but which is not what it supoosed to be as you have higher amount in your trading account. But if you have been trading, you will get use to it.

This is what I mean. Take note of 1x and the 50x leverage.

I only increased the leverage and not the position size. The same risks. More funds would be in my future account which will leave the position size and be replaced by leverage, the amount I used to trade reduced, making the percentage profit increase.

If you are not pleased with that, some exchanges have trading calculator. I have seen it before on exchanges like Binance.

What I mean is this...lets say I have two points in the chart:

first point is the price entry (where I open a long position)

lets say I open a Long  Position and I decide that half way through my trade which is going badly I want to open another position..exactly in the middle of the two points in the chart

Its a Mathematical Trading Strategy so I need that this new position is opened exactly in the middle of those two points

Sorry for my english

Re: calculate negative PNL

It is a derivative market trading. If you have 50% PnL loss, the exchange will let you know the amount of money that you are losing. Also you can see the remaining money on your future account. I do not think there is any calculator needed for that.

Yes I know the amount of money that I am losing but I want to know when is  negative 50% PnL (is for a strategy that I am using)

I am looking for opportunities to scalp/trade when there is indecision in the market…for example before powell speech bitcoin was ranging so I made some good profits trading within the range...are there any other opportunities when there is indecision in the market apart from hours before Powell speech?
