Remember, we have a majority of users with few computer skills. They are in for the craze and the moonshots and meme coins.

Why should this analysis work? The next good new projects needs to convice customers/traders. Not only that it is good, but better than whats at the market.
Many good projects with years of dev already out there. So my take is: Most new projects wont make it to the top10 of coins.
It only happens if old projects fail to deliver.

True. You will learn many things while trading, but the market stays nearly unpredictable. You cant transfer your mistakes, because everything changes. Market conditions, players, price base levels, competitors, regulation. Its mass psychology. We can witness right now. Did anything new come up for bitcoin? Or did just persons offer their opinion about the proof of work energy usage?

The bad trading can still lead to yourself getting more calm or resistant to the waves. Even if you cannot predict anything, maybe after a while you are better at holding through.

Another interesting thing is, we enter crypto because we anticipate that other investments are worse.
Stocks/gold/bonds/etf, all okay, but none as independent and as future open as crypto.

So we enter because of greed 'need more' or fear 'loose my money elsewhere' or maybe just to 'try'. Seemingly endless psychological circle.
Until we reach a certain wealth level. But really, will we stop? Or will we search the next thing?

a. price went +20% up, we dont sell.
reasons
 we dont need the money now
 we anticipate more gains         (greed, market sentiment)
 we see others with more gains (greed, jealousy)
 we dream of million                 (greed, new life vision)

b. price went -25% down, we sell.
reasons
 we need the money now
 we are fearing it will crash more          (fear, market sentiment)
 we doubt our initial decision to buy      (judgement by single point of time)
 we see others leaving the investment   (fear, mass psychology, group)
 we see other investment that are not -25% (fear)


thats why many books advice to trade in smaller steps.  dont go with a gut feeling, set a goal and stick to it.

the biggest impacts to our psychology? maybe the media, the news, the rumors.
we read something and anticipate that it will move 'others' and so we act on our own.
we do it, but we have no idea what it should mean. what should a musk tweet mean to a price? 3%? 10%? what should india banning crypto mean?
