I agree on the effect that CMC has on increasing awareness. I am just now looking into this coin precisely because it appeared on CoinMarketCap - so far I have only just skimmed some of the information.

I write a series of books called Altcoin Investigation to help people do DYOR.  Each book covers as many coins as I can research (given my limited amount of time) for coins which first appear on CMC during the month in which the book comes out.  Which means - I am getting all set to add info about KYD into this month's volume.

i'm currently writing a book about altcoins that are released this month.  Basically its DYOR but without any statements either for or against the project in question - the idea is to give people a head start on their own DYOR by sharing my own. in any case, i have a limited amount of time to work on it so i base it off of a voting system. Those coins that receive more votes get more of my attention.

I'm doing some preliminary research on Safex Cash for a book I am writing. They are not represented by a company as far as I can tell; instead they are a group of crypto enthusiasts. SFX got listed on CoinMarketCap today!  I guess that's a good thing... i wonder if SFT will be listed.  I'm not up to speed yet on the coin so forgive me if the previous statement reveals my ignorance.

 i've analyzed this forum and have identified 13 accounts which I believe may be fake accounts. all of them duplicate other posts word-for-word, and the ones prefixed with asterisks duplicate entire conversations, sometimes replacing only the poster names and times.

if i consider all of these accounts as fake and then count all of the posts made by them (not just the duplicates), they constitute 6.63% of all of the posts in this forum which precede this one.

some sites use the total number of posts to indicate the popularity of a coin, so the posts from these accounts can mislead people who are doing their own research before investing, since they inflate the number.

i notice that your website, after the rebranding from IDAP to Bitfex, is https://bitfex.com/.  However, there is what appears to be another exchange, named Bitfex.trade, at https://bitfex.trade/en/.  I take it that there is no overlap between the teams behind these exchanges?  there is a review of bitfex.trade at https://www.cointelligence.com/exchanges_list/bitfex/ ; however the term "BitFex Exchange" is used throughout the article. Unless one was already familiar with your logo (which is the word "BitFex" in an interesting font) and with their logo (which is the word "BitFex" in a different interesting font), one might be confused as to which exchange was being reviewed. The logos also appear at roughly the same size and at the same location of both of the home pages

yes - still hodling.  At this point the difference between the amount i would gain by selling and "nothing" is some small value epsilon, which does not exceed the time value spent in actually going to an exchange and going through the motions   but for me, it's ok, i knew that was possible going in.  i view it as a lottery ticket. the chance is very small at this point that the team can convince people to suddenly start using the network and buying the coin, but if it happens, then it will be worth it. who knows.

hi there.  I've added DigitalBits (XDB) to my book "Altcoin Investigation 2019-09."  I wonder if someone could verify that I got the information about the coin correct (preferably from a member of the team) ? I went through the whitepaper and extracted business problems which could be solved by using the token, and it would be nice for me to know that the info I got from the whitepaper was still relevant.  The book costs about 10 dollars, but for the purposes of textual review you can pay for the book, download it, review the XDB portion, and then get back to me with any corrections, and then get your money refunded (you have 45 days after purchase to refund the book).  To access the book, go to my voting page here : http://altcoininvestigation.com?utm_source=bitcointalk&utm_medium=XDB (that's where people can vote for which coins to add next to the book), make sure the 2019-09 year/date combination is set and then click the download link at the top. The book is continually being updated and people who have bought the book can redownload it as many times as they like - i.e. all updates are free once you pay for the book, and I've been updating the book every few days.  If you get a refund then of course you won't get updates.  When explaining why you are asking for a refund please let the publishing company (leanpub, in this case) know that you downloaded the book to verify the XDB section, per an agreement made with the author, and that the author is expecting the refund to be made.
