Re: Provably fair gambling sites

If he is betting 1 btc each time, the expected profit in the long term is 0, how is he able to make 200.000 bitcoins? How is he able to win 200.000 more than loosing when the chances are 50/50? Makes no sense

He'd only need to double his coins 17.6 times to earn more than 200K coins starting from 1.  The probability of that happening is 0.5^17.6 is 1/200000.  Which means 1 out of 200000 people will encounter this.  Doesn't seem too far fetched to me.

It is far fetched if you consider the total number of total possibilities that exist and he would have to hit that streak on the first bet.

Re: Are all Bitcoin Exchange connected to each other?

Its basically the market correcting itself. If the price on one exchange goes up then the overall value goes up. And people usually have funds on both sites, so they usually trade on that, and drive the price up as a result of trading. However there are differences in the prices like Stamp and Finex always have a difference of couple of dollars.

^ it's a sad state of affairs when robbers and thieves are less of a problem than the police.

Police doesn't really post problems like these all the time. But when they do ,its worse as you are subjected to further investigation.
@minermick have you been able to get the hardware back ?

I am looking to invest in cloudmining on this site. Can anyone comment on what they think would be an estimate to get a ROI ? I know it won't be accurate but an estimate for investing around 0.5 BTC into it ?

Has anyone else's history disappeared at Bter? My trading history has disappeared together with my deposit/withdrawal history.

Did your balance disappear as well or only the history ? It might be down for now, but if its the balance that disappeared then thats something to worry about. Did the rest of you get your withdrawals processed or are you guys waiting for Monday ?

I'm looking for a site or a methode to create Bitcoin coupon Codes that I can send do people who redeem it then and get the BTCs instant.

And a other question:
Does anyone know a site where I can buy Bitcoins with a deposit Bonus?

Thanks Smiley

I think localbitcoins offers something similar to what you are asking for. Found this on google, it should be hlepful to make coupons to give to people http://localbitcoins.blogspot.in/2013/12/localbitcoins-coupons-most-hassle-free.html

Re: should be a bitcoin ticker on this site

If you install jackjack's BT++ Script, you would be able to add a Bitcoin price ticker at the top of the page. It's very useful, It can show various exchanges and the average, mine is set to the average. I'll post a picture
just now.

Everyone's not a computer geek to be able to do it themselves. But I certainly think like other sites a bitcoin ticket somewhere on top would be a great idea.

Re: What was the starting price of Bitcoin?

I am not sure how accurate it is. But in the documentary the "Rise and Rise of Bitcoins " , it was said that the starting price/value of bitcoins had been 1 dollar for around 1000 bitcoins. But I doubt there was any exchange around then and so it was only possible for people to trade it with each other.

I doubt you can do that. If you can find a site which accepts Ukash and other deposit options, maybe somewhere in that you will be able to find the option for Ukash withdrawal. Why not just use an exchange ?
There are traders which might accept Ukash on LBTC: https://localbitcoins.com/sell-bitcoins-online/ukash/

Since the topic asks for interesting which can be both positive and negative, so for me it was the BTER hack that happened this year.
I was still surprised to hear that they managed to get their cold storage hacked which is almost impossible for it to happen.

Next was the DPR case which happened this year, and the story of the assasinations which he is being speculated to be involved in.

I remember seeing a reddit post about a while back when someone back in 2005-2006 posted an idea about a digital currency and it was speculated that it was satoshi who was working on the development then. But I would still say would have been close to 2-3 years for him to come up with the idea and develope it.

Looking at the number of gambling sites, all sites have been switching to a provably fair model of gambling.
So most of them are. The big examples are Primedice/Coinroyale/Cloudbet(asits live)

Well firstly , Coinbase requires verfications/bank linking etc. Localbitcoin is by far the easiest way to buy bitcoins for a new person.
And its not 30% premium. Most of the ads have between 3-10%

solar power or wind power, otherwise , some cheap contract in your zone, but to get a really free electricity, you need something abusive...which is illegal you know

SOlar power is not exactly free as no one knows how long they will be mining, so they might just be buying all those expensive panels, being not able to cover their cost.

on hashnest buy hardaware should come?  If itself earns?

I don't quite understand your question. but Yes Hashnest is basically a cloudmining company run by Bitmain.
You can probably find all the information on their site itself
