The idea for the hex chip in the game was actually created long before the idea to make the collectible items, so I had some initial concerns, but I was pleasantly surprised how they ended up in physical form. You won't find many (if any) hex shaped chips out there. I initially wanted to do clay versions but nobody seemed able to do the hex shape. *shrug*

More time than I care to admit was spent on the details & overall design of the deck & set, not to mention the game elements themselves. It took a team effort to pull it all off though, and I'm very thankful to have had theymos & PowerGlove there for their suggestions & thoughts throughout the process. Hopefully I didn't annoy them too much! lol.

Also want to thank Cyrus & theymos for sponsoring these cool BCA versions of the sets, and icopress for continuing to offer cool ways for the community to be honored & rewarded -- Congratulations to all the prize winners!


I do recall the screens full of orange stacks extending past the screen on every hand lol.  Fun times. Plus, the tweaks kept coming throughout the day... even into the month, with sound effects, and even some easter eggs (awesome job by PowerGlove!).

It was a unique experience I won't ever forget, and the collectibles hopefully offer a unique way to remember & commemorate it.

Definitely in your pack, as Gazeta mentioned, each deck of cards comes with the 2 gold cards inside the box, labelled with the unique # of that specific deck.

The general consensus had been that we shouldn't really be tracking username changes since the top reason for username changes have typically been done for privacy reasons, so we try to respect that. Here was theymos' response to this in the past. So, we've opt'd to not track that.

I'm behind on this, my prizes were delivered quickly over 3 weeks ago and I've been meaning to post some pictures of them, so here they are. Thanks again for the contest!

Obviously going back to a different time period here, but I am curious if Satoshi ever elaborated (privately or publicly) on the "There are other things we can do if necessary" comment here?

It has been really fun playing poker with everyone, and it let me connect with people in a different way through the forum. A friendly game of poker definitely has the power to bring people together in a fun and unique way.

PG (PowerGlove) did an awesome job on the game itself, and continually kept improving it throughout April. Given the amount of time spent on everything, it is tough for me seeing it go. But a big thanks to theymos for keeping it going this long!

I still think it would be cool to see a monthly or yearly freeroll tournament with small BTC prizes for winners, but I'm probably getting carried away.
