Ищем: Трейдеров, Аналитиков, Риск-Менеджер
by

on 07/11/2017, 11:01:50 UTC

Hello!

What is the algorithm now when using P106 (Mining Editon) cards?

What is the correct sequence:

I downloaded a clean system. Connect the monitor to the integrated graphics. In the settings, 1bash enabled P106_100_FULL_HEADLESS_MODE = "YES"
Then he started the miner, waited until he formed a new Xorg. Then reboot, and I go on SSH.

Next, I try to run the bash 2unix minor, it again tries to form a new xorg and starts the mining process, but without overclocking. Then reboot and everything works well.

But now, something this does not work Smiley

Hello!

Put a new farm on P106 Gigabyte and here's the story:

http://prntscr.com/gjsvn4

(I'm the one who tipped the image from the production farm on P106)

Tried to write a clean image, there is also an error with Nvidia.

The monitor did not connect, risers and cards changed - it did not help.

Hello!

A few questions:

My farms are in the data center.

1. Will any remote monitoring of the rig be implemented, except SSH?

2. Is it possible to update nvoc 18 -> 19 without overwriting a new image?

P106-100 BOUNTY

The person who will be able to unlock the overclock of my 13x P106 Rig (on the ASRock H110 BTC) with nvOC will get

1 ETH

I only got pure P106-rigs and no non-mining cards mixtures.

PM me and I will give you access to one of my Rigs.

Thanks!

I'm ready to make a donation too, if the issue with P106 cards is finally solved, but it's been so long already ...

Download the pure P106-100 1bash for headless SSH operation from the link on the OP; replace the 1 bash on your rig with it.

Add your pool / addresses / workername to the 1bash.

Note: for this version don't use:

Maxximus007_AUTO_TEMPERATURE_CONTROL

or

IAmNotAJeep_and_Maxximus007_WATCHDOG

ensure they are both set to "NO"

Run the mining process; it should not OC at this time.  This is expected; it will alter the xorg.conf as needed.

Note the Rig IP; write it down.

If you are not already running fully headless; ensure that you reboot: disconnecting any monitor from integrated graphics on the mobo before the rig reboots.

With your rig IP ssh into the rig after it boots ( see guide on the OP for more information on how to do this.  If from a linux system use the cmd from terminal:

Code:
ssh m1@your_rig_ip_here

you will be prompted

enter:

Code:
yes

the password is:
Code:
miner1

once you are logged in via SSH; enter:

Code:
screen -ls

if there is already a screen named miner use the cmd:

Code:
screen -r miner

to reconnect to the mining process and ignore the rest of this guide

if there is not; enter the cmd:

Code:
bash 1bash

to launch the mining process

once you see the message:

Quote
process in screen miner; attach with: screen -r miner

hit

Code:
ctrl + c

then enter:

Code:
screen -r miner

If you have problems with this; let me know.  I can't test this directly as I don't have these GPUs; but this should work unless I made a typo in the 1bash.

Also; you can edit the 1bash via SSH with the cmd:

Code:
nano 1bash

note this is a visual editor; again see the SSH guide for more info on nano.

http://prntscr.com/gc8g0n / http://prntscr.com/gc8agx ((

In the second picture:

My guess is that you are hitting ctrl + c too quickly after seeing the mining process is launched message (the process is actually launched immediately after this is displayed, so it is possible to close it too soon)

At the bottom: you have already opened 1bash in nano without closing the process which is why you are getting that message.  Having 1bash open in nano while trying to launch 1bash might also be causing problems (although it shouldn't).

To manually launch 1bash use the command:

Code:
bash 1bash

nano is for editing 1bash

You also might need to use the cmd:

Code:
sudo reboot

to reboot the rig after changing the xorg for the first time.  It is probably best to only conditionally change the xorg; but making / testing a configuration that works more smoothly will be much easier with my own p106-100 rig.

For now it is probably easier to use 1 normal 1060 as the primary GPU and avoid all of this.

I would like to make my own p106-100 rig to test and better resolve all issues.  I find it very strange that these GPUs are not for sale in the US.

What I did is joined. New 1bash downloaded, started the miner disconnect the monitor from the motherboard. Rebooted, logged in via SSH. Next: 1. Screen -Ls 2.bash 1bash -3.screen -R miner and here is the result

Hi Fullzero,

Do we need to add a swap space for v0019 release?
In claymore README for Windows 10, it's recommended to increase the pagefile to 16,000MB. I'm wondering if we also need to setup an extra "memory" for nvOC.

First, understand that these messages are very old, and Claymore doesn't change them (note the drivers they indicate to use).

Adding 16gb of VM, may increase stability; but it also will require using a larger usb, and a much longer download.  As not everyone mines ethash, this is not the optimal choice IMO.

Later on I will look into dynamically enlarging the primary partition or making another to use as VM if there is enough space on the usb.  After I am done with v0019 and a new rxOC I will do this, I or someone else (there are lots of knowledgeable members here) could make a guide for modifying nvOC to have 16 gb VM to use for Claymore.

It is important to understand that it is not clear if adding VM or more RAM to the system has a direct correlation with increased system stability.  IMO using 8gb of ram is more stable, especially when dual ethash + additional algo mining; however it is almost impossible to isolate / measure stability fully and I am very skeptical of anyone who claims to have a definitive answer on this.

check your PM.  i send new acces for my rig.

Fullzero said as soon as he gets a hold of 2 P106-100 cards.

Read pages 125 up to now and you can make it work

They work in Mejans, but they do not overclock.

Hey, fullzero!

Tell me, when do you fix for P106 cards? I can not collect 40 farms already for 13 cards, because Does not work razgon on your assembly .... please give it 1 hour. I already threw you access to the rig on which there are 13 P106 cards. Access to you in private messages.

Last time I tried to connect it didn't work.  I'll try again later today.

Sent to the PM new.

Hey, ty for adding teamviewer to nvOC!

But i got a problem: teamviewer never start on boot, i always need to enter this on guake terminal :

sudo teamviewer --daemon enable

My rigs are not at home, and if i need to reboot this, i can't control after the reboot :-(, please help me.

On your 1bash be sure to set

TEAMVIEWER="YES"

Oh thanks, there is a way to edit the 1bash in ubuntu ? if yes it need a restart ? thanks!

Yes, you can. It is in the home directory. Please search in home folder (where you see all miners)

EDIT:

For restart, to apply the 1bash changes you don't need to restart whole rig, you can kill the mining process using 'CTRL + c' and it should restart the process with new changes, if it doesn't just close the terminal after 'CTRL+c' and close the terminal and restart the terminal (not the rig)

press CTRL+c, it restarts 1bash, do you know how to disable this feature?
I'd like to exit the terminal when I press CTRL+c, thanks.

The way everything is setup; is to expect this to occur.  You can change this but; it will break a lot of other things.

When gnome terminal is open go to the top left of the screen and click terminal, then preferences, then profiles.  select mining and click edit.  Click the command tab.  Change when command exits: to Exit the terminal.

Friend, look, please. It's in your interests. I need to collect 30 farms for 12 Mining Edition cards and I want to do this on NVOC and I need to collect it before the end of the week, but without overclocking there is no sense at all.
I sent you access to private messages.

Very much I ask you, to solve a situation.

Let me send you access to the rig. There are 13 cards, test how much it will fit in

UPDATE:  Cool Cool Cool
Bug Fix you did to make P106 run fine, but here in Xorg to add at least coolbits forgot like .... and why then I have only 10 cards there, instead of 13. I tried to edit, all to register. But after the restart, nvoc restored its xorg.

http://Http://prntscr.com/g102c9

I hope that after reading, you will quickly send a fix version.

It looks like you are using integrated graphics in this xorg.conf

Please connect the display to the primary GPU (one in the 16x slot) and reboot.

Close the 1bash process when it starts; before it tries to reboot.

Open the xorg.conf and copy all the contents by copying the text (ctrl + a then ctrl +c) and pasting them in a new file you make on the desktop or home folder.

then

Please post the contents of that file here.  This will help me make an xorg.conf .

Hello!

I connected cards with a monitor in x16.
The system started without error and the miner started.
Copied Xorg, but it's the same as without a card with an active monitor.

I installed your bug fix before that and the system began to start without errors.

Xorg - https://yadi.sk/d/3_2ODI8C3LVbZ8

try this xorg.conf:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3ra23kLdr5lM0VkWkZHVTZyVGc/view?usp=sharing

extract it to your home folder then open guake and enter the cmd:

Code:
sudo cp '/home/m1/xorg.conf' '/etc/X11/xorg.conf'

then logout

and log back in

the xorg.conf pcie addressing in the example you listed looks very strange so I'm not sure if this will work.

Let me know.

Good afternoon!
===
I'll start with the configuration of my equipment:
GPU - 13 Colorful P106-100 Mining (without video outputs) Edition or 12 + 1 MSI 1060/6 (with video output)
Motherboard H110 Pro BTC
===
Downloaded and installed nvoc 18 version.
Starting with the first run, the system immediately began to issue an error and go into reboot. (Screenshot attached) http://prntscr.com/fzo8uv http://prntscr.com/fzobub

If you quickly close this window with an error and try to start the miner - the system starts and mining.

But, the system does not respond to overclocking. Increasing the memory, setting the speed of the coolers, powerlimit - nothing is applied and the system can only run in the stock.

It did not work out, I tried to connect via integrated video graphics, also through a card with a video output. I suspect this is because of the error that pops up at the very beginning, related to xorg.

One error message also appears on one MSI 1060/6 card.

I tried to run the data on the motherboard H81 Pro BTC + net install Ubuntu + version of the drivers Nvidia 384.47 and everything was fine.

Tell me how to solve this problem?
For earlier I express my gratitude!

I ask for prognosis for the possibly incorrect text, tk. I used an interpreter.

nvOC doesn't support integrated graphics.  If you connect a monitor to the integrated graphics you will enter an infinite loop where the system xorg get corrupted then 1bash restores the xorg and reboots.

If you have connected a monitor to integrated graphics previously; after switching to using the primary GPU (the one connected to the 16x slot) you will need to allow the system to reboot once, then on the second boot after changing it should work.

WTF?

http://prntscr.com/g02inr
http://prntscr.com/g02iuz
http://prntscr.com/g02j15

UPDATE:

The system finally started. But, overclocking is applied only to the card in which the monitor is inserted. The remaining P106 cards do not overclock. Screenshots I enclose.
http://prntscr.com/g03joa
http://prntscr.com/g03jt8
http://prntscr.com/g03jyl
It's unclear what else, manual control of the cooler is turned on, set to 100%. But still the system adjusts them automatically.

If you want all the fans set to 100% ensure:

Code:
Maxximus007_AUTO_TEMPERATURE_CONTROL="NO"

Also I changed 1bash to hopefully better support the p106 GPUs in the bux fix version linked at the top of the OP.  I don't have any of these, so these changes were based on what other members have reported.

Looking at your screenshots; it looks like there is a problem either with the image on the ssd or with the ssd itself.  I would try reimaging and using the bug fix 1bash and files.

BTW this rig looks good; I want to make one of these myself.

Thank you!
Fix helped the system to run smoothly.
But the overclocking and any tuning of the action does not apply!

A couple of screenshots as always attached:
http://prntscr.com/g0ggi9
http://prntscr.com/g0gh50
http://prntscr.com/g0gh8s
http://prntscr.com/g0ghcz

I might have to make a custom xorg.conf for the P106-100.  They appear to be using typical pcie addressing; but I am guessing the problem is related to their lack of outputs.

It is hard to know without having some of these P106-100 to test with.

I will add this to the list, and update 1bash to conditionally use that xorg.conf if a P106-100 is detected.

my rigs keep restarting after few minutes. Some after 5 mins some after 30. Im not sure why this keeps happening.

im using all 1070's with core 100 / 1050 also i tried 150-200 / 1100-1600. No luck

what is your power limit on them? for 1070s I would push around 120-125 with a moderate/heavy OC. Anything less can cause stability problems.

my power limits are all at 125

in the home directory there is a file named:

Code:
4_restartlog

open it with gedit and tell me what is there

It says utilization is too low. Reviving did not work so restarting machine

Are you sure the client is connecting correctly to the pool?  If you disable the watchdog:

Code:
IAmNotAJeep_and_Maxximus007_WATCHDOG="NO"

What happens when you try to mine?

Also what COIN are you mining?

Yea the pool is connecting, If i disable watchdog its still goes. Im trying to mine EXP and SC and switch around to ETH/ETC

Im not sure what you mean by:  switch around to ETH/ETC.

Pools that support different Ethash coins usually have different pool connection urls and use different ports.

Quote
,"message":"Invalidlogin"}}

It looks like you might be using a pool that requires you make a worker before you can connect.  If you aren't trying to connect to the pool with a workername that has already been added at the pool end; it will reject your connection.

I use nvoc for dual mining: DUAL_ETC_PASC

for ETC I can use only etc.nanopool.org or etc.ethermine.org servers, in all other ETC POOL servers I receive the message:

ETH: Authorization failed
: {"id":2,"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":null,"error":{"code":-1,"message":"Invalidlogin"}}
Stratum - reading socket failed, disconnect
ETH: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec...

Please help me to find a solution.

Even i get this with various coins if i change my pool. I'm not sure why?

Different stratum implementations.  The Genoil miner knows how to deal with these:

Code:
-SP, --stratum-protocol Choose which stratum protocol to use:
0: official stratum spec: ethpool, ethermine, coinotron, mph, nanopool (default)
        1: eth-proxy compatible: dwarfpool, f2pool, nanopool
        2: EthereumStratum/1.0.0: nicehash

The Claymore miner doesn't have this option...though you mention using it with Nanopool and Ethermine, and I've used it briefly with NiceHash, so that covers the types that Genoil knows about.  Perhaps it adjusts automatically, but still runs into issues with some pools.

When using Genoil it is as salfter has explained.

Let me send you access to the rig. There are 13 cards, test how much it will fit in
