Re: [ANN][SSL][0%FEE] DOGECOIN POOL MINE! FAST-POOL.COM - ON CORRECT FORK!

I'm still a bit suspect of this pool.

Have coins to cashout but every time I try and enter my wallet address and click update I am logged out of the site and the account is locked. Have tried different computers with different browsers, same result.

I work in application support and know this would be an easy problem to sort out.

I have sent multiple emails to support but no reply.

User: MoonShine2

Please fix this support if you are reading this thread.

Did you enter the correct PIN value when entering your payout address? You should see the place to enter it
below where you put your payment address.

Hi fcmatt,

I'm pretty sure that the pin is correct.  Any ideas what I can do if the Pin is not what I thought it was?

I can log in to the site ok but just cannot update any of my account details.

Really frustrating as I want to go back to mining this pool but have stopped for now.

I have the same problem PLEASE HELP! fast-pool holding my coins hostage and the amounts have been going down (apparently if you leave them in there, they get "orphaned")

No effect.

Does anyone have any idea how much I have to spam the newbie area until I can contact fast-pool.com and get them to release the coins they hold hostage? (Yeah I know, it's almost certainly not intentional. It's just rather stupid that simply because of forum configuration I don't get my last coins out of there and they don't get a 550Kh/s miner to their pool anymore).

Did anyone ever get fast-pool to respond? They are also holding my doge hostage

AWS Amazon Web Services Usage For Sale
by
jasonKidd
on 02/02/2013, 02:17:00 UTC
I have multiple AWS Amazon Web Services accounts and the ability to pay for them.

This service would make sense for anyone that wants to leverage AWS for hosting, CDN, storage, etc. but wants to pay for that using bitcoin.   Currently, you can only pay for AWS with a credit card.

What is AWS?
The largest public cloud computing platform in the world. http://aws.amazon.com

What does this service cost?
I will allot you $500USD in AWS credit for every BTC30. This rate is subject to change.

What if I use more than $500 of AWS credit?
Think of this like a pay phone. If you use up the allotment without re-up'ing, your access will be terminated and all of your resources destroyed.  The first few people that take advantage of this program will get some leeway as I work out the kinks.

What do I get exactly?
Full access to AWS services, accessed via unique IAM credentials. http://aws.amazon.com/iam/faqs/

What can I use the AWS service for?
Anything that is permissible under the AWS terms of use (can be found here: http://aws.amazon.com/terms/)

Are there refunds available?
No.

How do I get started?
PM me for details.

i stick with pure php

i would like to use php as well for an experimental project, just to keep it simple

are there any frameworks/guidelines to building a bitcoin friendly site in php?

the successful bitcoin sites i've seen usually have these attributes:

* they accept bitcoins by given each unique user a unique wallet to send money to
* they allow for anonymous, tokenized access

blockchain.info uses Coyote, so it's probably also using Tomcat, therefore is probably using Java.  Like so many other sites, it uses Twitter's Bootstrap and jQuery on the frontend.

SatoshiDice is clearly PHP.

Bitcoin MineField is served by Express, therefore is built on top of Node, which is Javascript.  The frontend uses jQuery and jQuery UI.
Thanks!

VOIP / SIP / SMS?

Any BTC based VOIP / SIP services out there?

Any interest in using them?  This is another area that might generate economic activity outside of mining, gambling, or exchanges.

If you plan to accept Bitcoins without checking user identity then I think you'd quickly find yourself dealing with a lot of problems. The Bitcoin history being what it is I think anonymous payments for AWS would very quickly get used as a platform for "bad stuff", even if just anonymous proxies for doing hacks and such. I know they have other ways to do these things but it would "lower the bar" and make it more accessible.
I agree. A rigorous response to AWS TOS violations would be necessary.

Anyway, I use EC2 and would be interested as well... it would depend on the cut you take. And on privacy as I shouldn't have to share my access keys with you - again, given the history here that would just be silly of me.

I probably wouldn't be giving out AWS access keys at all. More like a hosting scenario, I would allow access to specific objects/calls (ie. EC2 instances) and have zero knowledge of the access credentials on those servers (stream the .pem file to customer and not store it).  I can't think of another way to do it.

One gotcha that does worry me though is if I get AWS myself there is only Amazon to worry about. If I get it through you who will Amazon consider to be the owner of the code and data I put on their system, me or you?

That's a great question. For avoidance of doubt I would write up a TOS that ensures no partnership/ownership implied. That is pretty standard stuff.   AWS TOS says something similar.

However, if  someone's usage violated AWS TOS in terms of content, etc, it would have to be shutdown immediately (standard practice, but even more important with an arm's length financial arrangement like BTC cloud).

I'm thinking something a bit more like EngineYard (but with generic servers/templates) than just passing through an AWS account.

What would be more compelling?

That's trickier.  Amazon owns the payment flow on that product.
They'll get what they expect. They expect a credit card transaction. Every bitcoin purchase on the front end will trigger corresponding credit card transaction on the back end. This will be the credit card of web store owner.
Amazon controls the payment experience, including client side AFAIK - there is no "back end" to trigger a CC transaction.  It sounds like a good idea but I don't see how its feasible.

In any case, if anyone thinks that an AWS bitcoin purchasing app has legs let me know, i'll probably just start doing some simple MVP work, but if there is more interest I'll ramp it up quicker.

Anyone interested in a new app that would allow for AWS to be consumed using bitcoins as payment method?

I have the framework and there are no issues with Amazon's TOS to offer this, however anyone violating the AWS EULA/TOS for consumption (ie. hosting bad stuff) would be booted.

If there is enough interest in the community I'll build an MVP and open it up. Would love to get feedback if anyone has any particular ideas or use cases.

thanks!

No can do, reselling / sublicensing of the services (which is what you'd end up doing) is prohibited under the AWS Customer Agreement:

Quote
8.5 License Restrictions. Neither you nor any End User may use the Service Offerings in any manner or for any purpose other than as expressly permitted by this Agreement. Neither you nor any End User may, or may attempt to, [...]  (d) resell or sublicense the Service Offerings.

Let's just say I have a way around that and to stay in compliance with the TOS.

Is it still interesting?  Anyone up to use this?

I'm on a macbook air and i can't seem to get more than 700 khash/sec

any suggestions?
 ./DiabloMiner-OSX.sh ... -w 64
[6/4/11 12:24:51 PM] Started
[6/4/11 12:24:51 PM] Connecting to: http://..../
[6/4/11 12:24:51 PM] Using Apple OpenCL 1.0 (Dec 23 2010 17:30:26)
[6/4/11 12:24:51 PM] Added GeForce 320M (#1) (6 CU, local work size of 64)
442/619 khash/sec

You should get about 6 mhash. Try a higher -w value, Apple's OpenCL implementation is extremely buggy.

Thanks. Whenever I try a -w setting of 256 or higher, the miner seems to have trouble (lots of OpenCL errors),and still is in that sub 800 khash range

Looks like a bunch of blocks are found.

However, when I log into the mining.bitcoin.cz site, my worker says "0 shares found"

Am I missing something?
