Re: * MBANK CARDS BEING BLOCKED THREAD*

UPDATE:

After absolutely zero progress on transferring the funds I decided to take a 800km trip to Poland to visit a Mbank Branch as I was told on numerous times that is what I should do to unblock the card.
In Poland the nice ladies in the branch said they cant do anything about the blocked card as they dont have access to the card system. So I called the customer rep to ask why they had told me to come to a branch to verify my ID if they still cant open the card. I was given a big load of bullshit with different excuses and in the end they said I should contact the person who sold me the card. They never even wanted to copy my ID even though I insisted so I wouldnt have to go back again.
This is such BS and they are obviously finding ways not to pay the customers back.

If anyone is planning a trip to Poland just for this I would advise you not waste your time and money as it still wont give any results.

At this point we make a legal action against who sold the card. They made misleading advertising, and we are all EU citizens, with with consumer rights.

For Italian people:

For all people: remember must to have proofs (registered letters, email, and others)

Anyone in the UK is advised to contact the Polish embassy in London and file your complaint. They speak perfect English and have been helpful with me on another problem of financial matters.

For my personal experience embassy not interested in these problems. we talking about the policy of an entire bank and not a simple problem of financial matter.

However groped have not costs....

The problem is Podex...they do misleading advertising, they cant impose the policy to Mbank.

Mbank wrote clearly have not interest sell this particular Visa out of Poland.

But Podex buy cards for 3 € and sell for 30 € (around) then is not interested citizens problems, interested just gain and of your problems they "wash their hands"

The real complaint should be made against podex, because they promises in advertising things that can not keep

cosa scrive Mbank

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Sir,

thank you for your mail.

In reference to your message I inform that Bearer prepaid cards issued as an
electronic money instrument are offered by mBank S.A. in the Polish market only.
mBank S.A. has never offered nor intended to offer such cards outside Poland.
Also mBank did not gave any permission to sell those cards abroad.
Notwithstanding this, mBank is doing its best to develop a process dedicated to
Cardholders staying abroad in order to handle complaints filed by users from outside
Poland.

Andate in Polonia? :-)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Cxxxxxx,
Unfortunately I am not the card holder and pretending I was would be breaking the
law, therefore I could not do it.
We’ve contacted mBank again and since that brought no solutions and since we find
their actions unacceptable we’ve decided to file an official complaint with
government institutions in Poland.
We recommend you doing the same:

Alcuni dati sulle carte:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=746065.0

anowerify
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=779966
bernard75
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=216629

Pur avendo meno feedback, giusto perchè costava meno (circa 20 euro), mi sono affidato al primo. (anowerify)

and what they gonna do with the fuckin stucked money ??! Angry

can you please send another email because i didn't get any reply till now, asking how we can do to get back our money not to unblock the card because we dont want to use it again! it's a crap!

Dear,
useless write again.

Simple, if you want your card unlocked, need just go to Poland.

I wrote already to EBA, control authorities for EU bank, VISA and others, just for that they answered me, instead many users have not received answer.

I think for unlock card without go to Poland need your solicitors write to Mbank, Visa and EBA and also Poland government, at the same time make noise in the web.

After, MAYBE, they can unlock your card...
I think best solution (more than not buy this crap card) is found a serious Poland interpreter and pay him/she for help you.

Readers maybe are also interested what Podex answered me :-)

To be sincere, personally I think this is just "smoke" in my eyes, are useless words.

If you want to do something useful, please report Mbank and also Podex in the web for do greater number of people know both are shit service.

Also, Podex wrote in website "card work in EU and for ATM", I think we can report Podex because are liars and create great damage of many people.

In fact, Mbank told me this paper is not meant to be used out poland, ASAP i write a post with a clear summary

If we want, all togheter, use a solicitors for write to Visa, Poland government and Mbank Im ready

If you want take part we can organize a  complaint group and do write by a lawyer

But before you start you should know that this has a cost, time consuming and does not guarantee results 100% safe

Please make sure that as many people are made aware of these two services, Mbank and Podex are two service of shit

And my reply:

Quote
Hello,

Will you tell me specifically why you blocked the card?

What was the security reason you mention?

Why is the card status still set as "Active"?

I can't and I don't want to visit an mBank branch because I'm not even in Poland.

You can block or cancel the card if you want but you certainly can't keep money that's not yours.

That would be stealing!

So if you don't want me as client it's fine but you can't keep my money.

Please send the remaining funds to the account I gave you before:

IBAN: PLXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

BIC: WBKPPLPP

Bank: Bank Zachodni WBK SA

or reverse the transfers to the original senders.

What's the email of the Customer Ombudsman?

I'll also forward this email to Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego, to Urzad Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentow and others relevant to this case.

I expect you to give me back my stolen funds as soon as possible.

Best regards

I spammed this to a shitload of email addresses. Basically all I could find related to mBank and financial regulators in Poland.

I made up some email addresses based on these people names:

http://www.mbank.pl/en/about-us/bank-authorities/about.html

The full list is this:

Some of them hit the fence but so far most of them went through.

I wrote to all email address above, answered me only  kontakt@mbank.pl

what I wrote:

Dear Adam Gruszczyński of Mbank,
sorry but Im tired to be cheated

How you can think people start out from any parts of the world for go in
Mbank branch in Poland Huh

Now are many week I complained, and after many days and many email,
finally I have this useless answer

I put in "Cc" for knowledge the lords of Podex, they selling your cards

And also "EBA" European Banking Authority", because this is not just my
problem, in the web easy check how many many people have my same problem

This is a possible trick for to gain on the interest of the blocked money?

Your bank created me great problems, please stop sell cards because is not
possible people start out from any parts of the world for go in Mbank
branch in Poland

If are all that problems, Mbank must not allow the "Mbank Visa card" can
be sold so easy on the http://www.second-card.com/ website, with the
reassurance that everything will be fine.

I have not time for go in Poland branch, please agree to accept my ID, I
can give you a document certified by the Italian authorities

Also, I asked many times the address of your registered office because I
want send you a registered letter, do you have problem give me this
address?

Id like to make official this complaint

Best regards"

what they answered

Dear Sir,

thank you for your message.

Firstly I would like to apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment that you
experienced in dealing with mBank recently.

In connection with the reasons for blocking the card, the process of unblocking the
card requires filling in and signing a complaint form containing the Cardholder's
personal data. To do this, you need to visit an mBank branch.

Bearer prepaid cards issued as an electronic money instrument are offered by mBank
S.A. in the Polish market only. mBank S.A. has never offered nor intended to offer
such cards outside Poland.

Notwithstanding this, mBank is doing its best to develop a process dedicated to
Cardholders staying abroad in order to handle complaints filed by users from outside
Poland.

That is why I cannot ask you to send any documents like ID to unblock your prepaid
card.

For that moment it possible to unblock your card only during the visit in mBank office.

The address for letter correspondence is:

mBank SA
ul. Senatorska 18
00-950 Warszawa
With specific note  "DTB" (Departament Bankowości Transakcyjnej).

I hope that provided information will be useful for you.

Best Regards,

Z poważaniem
