At a time when coin prices feel as though they might be headed for a prolonged slide and electric companies are tightening expansion availability and/or making new rules/fees for mining customers.... I'm sure canaan will find plenty of customers, but not me. Not thrilled with having to keep adding S9s, but it seems like the only viable option for now.

final follow-up: my order was finally marked paid ~72 hours after i paid it. why they don't have that automated is beyond me.

I've already received my 1/21-31 units, and every other bitmain order I've made, going back to early 2016, was confirmed quickly as you described (except for one, which was my fault due to fractional underpayment because of fee deduction --- definitely not a problem this time).

Still nothing here. I paid from 2 separate wallets and part of the payment from one of them has been forwarded to another address. I've never had this type of situation before with a bitmain order. Not comfortable.

I am in the same boat, opened a ticket.

I paid in full, had several confirms within 30 minutes of the order's being placed (now >10 confirms), but no PAID email, and the order now shows expired. Same as you, I checked and re-checked and re-re-checked the address and that I hadn't done something REALLY dumb like send BTC. All was correct on my side.

ETA, in the ticket I sent them blockchain explorer link to the payment address showing full amt received. I feel like that address used to be included in the order email, but it isn't any more.

network effect assumes usage for something other than trading/buying more mining equipment. has there really been enough of an increase in non-mining/trading related transactions to justify the 10x price move?

the real problem with this run of luck - now effectively over 350% for the current block soon after the two monsters - is that as a business right now the only way to run is to reinvest profits in additional equipment, as that's what everyone else is doing, driving the difficulty increases (and, one would think, the price appreciation). When there are no profits (or significantly reduced ones) to reinvest, you lose ground to the pack.

Side note - this cycle: price goes up, everyone re/invests, difficulty increases, repeat, is extremely worrying and at some point really does begin to look ponzi-like.

About time we finally got on the board with our first block! Been here in varying degrees, with a few months off in the middle, since August '16. The block was hit by the only T9 in our bunch of otherwise all S9's.
