As i see, widthdrawals are not working since 2 days ago. I talk about the instant ones, i do not know about the Slow ones (although the countdown is working, some thing that is different from the past times widthdrawals did not work).

Other times have been processed after 3 days more or less.

I'm not saying it works, but did you guys check the state of the blockchain and mempool. I mean, usually these withdrawls are issued with the smallest possible fee, and if BTC price jumps suddenly (like it has in the last few days), your transacrtion, or in this case withdrawl transaction might be waiting for the gas fee to go down to process. Just saying

This transaction hasn't left the freebitcoin site yet. It's still showing as a pending withdrawal there. Once they process it, it then moves to the blockchain.

Ok thanks. It is BTC and it said 15min and it has been 3 days, so I started to wonder...

Have you got your withdrawal yet? I just put in one myself and it's been stuck for the past hour or so, the site is based in Costa rica, so just hoping it's their hot wallet empty again, and they will process the withdrawal as soon as they come online.

Put in a request for withdrawal today (instant), normally gets sent within 15 minutes as promised, but it's been 3 hrs and no sign of the withdrawal being processed. The withdrawal shows as pending on their website, so there is hope, maybe. Anyone knows a support email address for the team?

Did you receive the payment by now? I did some withdrawals in december and received them very quickyl. As fivestar mentioned, save  the effort of sending an email; you will never get a reply from them.

Yes, I did get my withdrawal, on checking closely I noticed they were located in Costa Rica, and it was around 2AM when I put in the withdrawal request, I guess their Hot wallet was out of funds and it was refilled around 5 AM, when the withdrawal was processed. So all good here.

There is absolutely no need wasting your time with freebitco support because they are never going to respond, and it doesn't matter how long you wait, except you have nothing else important to do with your time, then you can spend it on sending countless number of messages to support who will never respond to any.

Since the issue with the site began, instant withdrawals are no longer instant as written on the site, but the good news remains that withdrawals are processed, and you will get what you requested for at the end of the day, only thing is you will have to wait patiently because some times, and for some users, it takes several hours, sometimes up to 48 hours or more.

I have withdrawn as recently as mid december and did not face any issues with instant withdrawal, guess their Hot wallet is empty right now and probably needed refilling. Gives me hope when you say that people have been getting their withdrawals though, although patience is the key.

Does anyone have a list of exchanges this coin is listed on currently? Just found an old wallet.dat and trying to download the QT. Any idea what is the size of the curecoin blockchain? I dont want to waste too much time if its not worth the effort! Smiley

You can check the leaderboard i suppose, they have a daily, weekly, monthly and all time leaderboard filter.
Probably what OP is looking for is someone that's winning something in just one game, something like a jackpot some players are just playing a lot of games and causing them to get listed in the leaderboards.

Ah well, could be! OP is better off stalking the site for a day! Cheesy

I'd be scared to "retire" even at 65 if I only had $2m USD, but it's one of those things where you just have to take that risk. Or keep working.

Edit: I read about a couple that retired early 15 years ago on $800K, but they kept it all pretty much in investments and only liquidated what they needed. Now 15 years later, they have $1.2M left.  Cheesy

Fantastic, they must be prudent investors. I guess it all boils down to need vs greed, if you are happy and content with what you have, you should be able to retire on a relatively low corpus.

Hi guys, is this thread still active?. I don't see many posts here.

I know the coin is active, because it is being used by freebitco.in and there was news that there will be a poker freeroll with Fun tokens as the coin of choice. Not sure what happened though. Off late, i hear that binance is going to pay Fun users interest for holding fun tokens too! Positive news, but hardly caused any change in the price.

Let's say Satoshi was a group, it would seem there is only one spokeperson who posted on the forums, as the posts are consistent up until he or she or they disappeared. So maybe he was working with a group but the main character is the only one posting as a single entity.

But doesn't explain why they haven't moved their stash of BTC though! Smiley

Its a shame that an egoistic, megalomaniac and self-serving individual is able to crash the crypto market at will, with a single tweet. When will people realize that Bitcoin is a store of value in itself and doesn't need validation by anyone! Right now its looking like people like Musk can play with the crypto markets at will and make a killing by buying low after crashing the market.

"too much month at the end of the money."
Dabs my friend, good to see you active on these forums! Heard you went through tough times too. Hope all well now! Smiley

Hey there my friend!

Yes, quite active, particularly on this thread, not on the other sections as much. This is my fav spot.

Still grinding through life, maybe I have 10 to 20 years to retirement, hopefully sooner. Trying to stack sats, ending up spending them. There were a few kind people along the way and I am very grateful to them, and there were a few dead projects that came back to life and I've been getting some value out of them, sort of like a DCA into BTC.

If it goes up like I hope it would (and kind of expect, just a matter of time, a rising tide lifts all boats, but alts and tokens are not a good topic on this particular thread) then I'll probably do okay.

Great to hear that you are fighting it all the way! Still doing the charity work? I wouldn't mind contributing a bit towards that! Smiley

Anyhow, I am having some trouble relating to anyone who has known about bitcoin, and who had been into BTC for 7 years or so to actually have only in the neighborhood of 1 BTC.. even though I do understand that there might be ways of explaining it, it seems to not be a very good example of how to approach this asset class.

It happens. That's life. Some of us were not in very good positions to keep or maintain or hodl and had to survive, even before the pandemic, even before the bear market.

Basically what eddie13 said too.

At some point, because I simply do not have enough sats, I will also have to "cash out" a little bit. Hopefully there will be more of it left so the "no exit strategy" will work in a few years.

As a mentor of mine once said, it is a problem of having "too much month at the end of the money."

Being poor, being born into a shit situation/location, living paycheck to paycheck, and sometimes not even that..

That’s why I have been so adamant about NOT selling, because these lottery tickets are basically irreplaceable..
Were, even at sub 10k levels..

I’ve managed to get and hold onto more than one, but any pragmatic person in many of my past situations would have sold them all to keep up in real life, but I did not, and still will not..
I’m doing much better these days, but not everyone have disposable income for wild investments..

On another note, I bet half or more of DT1 on this forum can’t even sign a half a Bitcoin, much less one whole Bitcoin.. Many not even 1/4 or even 1/10th a coin..
How do you feel about most of the democratically elected community leadership on this forum (DT) don’t even have any skin in the game?

Especially the 3rd world althunter circle with +10 positive trust each in a circlejerk for “finding alts” and being obsessed with leaving red tags.. Most not even having 1/4mm sat to rub together..

Doesn’t seem like the most optimal situation to me..
What do you think?

Well... i have been dormant for a while, only recently came back on. I do not regret converting my BTC into Fiat, especially since it gave me the freedom to not be in Debt! In hindsight, i can say that i made full use of the bitcoin i had, it actually all boils down to what makes you happy i guess! In my case, i used it for paying off my mortgage much faster than the 20 year plan i had (paid off in 2 years!). Paid off a new car, bike and went on umpteen holidays which is something my wife and I both love, invested in my hobby of diecast collection, which in itself is worth a fair bit right now!

Do i regret not having all 21 BTC, sure i do, i would have retired without a second thought if i had that kind of purchasing power but then i am looking at a retirement at 40 opposed to 50 which was my earlier plan and it is all because of Bitcoin!

I'll provide my "story" as well, as I pulled a Bawb as well and "took a little off the top" today.

Joined this forum 11/26/2013 after buying my first coin a month prior in October.  Bought the "top" at $1,000 back then, then continued to buy all the way down haha to $190.  Then I stopped, thinking oh man, what did I get myself into.  But never did stop believing.

What a wonderful opportunity this has afforded me, as I just took early retirement at age 50 and bought a second small home in Oregon and will be caddying part time starting around the end of this summer at Bandon Dunes.

What a majestic use of this invention, it propelled me to be able to step back and get out of the rat race at least ten years earlier than I would have been able to do without it.

So glad a friend emailed me an article about it at work one day.  I remember sending him .15 of a coin as a thank you, at the time, this would have been a $100 gift.  I do think he still has this $9k+ gift today.

Love reading all the success stories and am definitely trying to keep my stash as robust as I can, and will continue to sell the dips and buy at the top going forward haha

Wow, that's great to hear. I had 21 BTC at one point, then kept liquidating along the way, partly due to debts, partly due to holidays. Today i have less than 1 BTC but it has been a fun ride. I am debt free with a home already paid for, cant say i did too badly, but there is always that lingering thought of "What if...". Fantastic to see someone who actually harnessed the full potential of bitcoin! More power to you! Smiley

Wow,

Looks like someone (or a group of folks) bit the bullet and divested from the bankroll. We are down to 2965 BTC invested. Could also be people taking profits given the current jump in price of BTC or maybe someone decided its time to buy that island they always wanted to retire to. Wink
