I'm having issues with my 6 RX 580 Nitro+. The problem is the last few days I started getting "GPU hangs in OpenCL call" error. I did lower the clocks and I wasn't getting errors in HWiNFO64, but the "GPU hangs in OpenCL call" error still occured today, even without getting GPU errors.

Do you guys have any idea what else can cause the issue?

I bought two Saphire RX 580 Nitro+ 8GB  (standard, not limited edition) with Samsung memory. I have Windows 10 and installed drivers Beta for Blockchain Compute 23 Aug. Also, I modded strap in bios, -dcri 6, claymore 10.3. In MSI Afterburner 1100/2150 and my results are about 29.6 mh/s per card. Power consume from wall metter about 380 w. Can I get better results with same or lower power consume?

Persoonlijk ben ik van het kopen en vasthouden (en af en toe wat eruithalen). Maar ik wil dan ook niet obsessief mee bezig zijn en er veel tijd aan besteden. Als ik wel wat actiever zou zijn, zou ik me niet zo druk maken om exchange fees. Dat gaat toch vaak om fracties van procenten terwijl verlies of stijging toch vaak meerdere procenten of zelfs tientallen procenten kunnen bedragen.

i just help my friend tune his MSI  card which is the same as you. can go 30.6m with others strap. The first thing you would like to you is using ddu to uninstall the driver and install the blockchain driver.

I just bought a couple of RX580's.  Is it still possible to get these to run with Claymore under Linux?

It seems that the Linux software is too new for any driver software that I can get my hands on.
Drivers keep complaining that my Xorg is too new, or that dkms code cannot be installed because some structure member no longer exists in the kernel headers, etc. The only driver that installed fine, the amdgpu-pro-17.50-511655.tar.xz  and the AMD-APP-SDK 3, do not seem to be supported by Claymore.

Just having a tough time..

Ik mine ook met 2 partners , hun hebben hun kwaliteiten en ik de technische.

we hebben momenteel 25 Ethereum miners, iedere miner uitgerust met 8 GTX 1060 GPU .
Gemiddeld draait een miner 190Mhs en gebruikt 910 Watt aan stroom.

Koeling was in eerste instantie een probleem , maar dat hebben we overwonnen.

Stroom is inderdaad fors in Nederland, maar het rendeert

Hello. Normally people just tell you the gpu core power consumption. Mine is around 100W as i said. The system on idle uses about 100W to the wall. My cpu is a Xeon X5460 with 120W TDP, but even at full load only uses 40W according to cpuID HWmonitor, (it's way voltage downcloacked from VID numbers) so , not bad at all for a 4 cores 4 threads 8 year old dinosaur.
Yes, i use my rig for daily (it was not meant to be for mining but it is indeed now). add an 120mm AIO, 3 x120mm fans, ddr3 1,65v and not the best efficient mobo (though a good old one, like it is the Asus P5QC) and two hard drives, one SSD and 1TB hard drive. also RGB lights on the case and high performance keyboard and mice with RGB lights.

But, you should know that there are more variables. For example, the Asic Quality determines how much voltage does the card need to use, and moreover, are better overclockers and downclockers aswell. The higher asic, the better, mine is "average" at 75%.
Another variable is the memory. It's said that Samsung memory use less power than mine (Hynix memory)so there you can get a few watts less.
Another variable is the slot. cards with risers use less power according to what i've seen. very little less, but when you have 6 cards, well, it can be like 20-40W less for the whole 6 cards.

The sapphire RX 580 pulse model, as from stock uses less power, you can go way down to 0,835v using 77W and hashing nearly 30mh/s. While mine, the Nitro+ uses more core voltage so the number from which you can downclock is higher than on the pulse, even at -200mv it will not let me go below 0.925v no matter if i go to 1000mhz on the core. So, in practice, for only mining, the pulse is the way to go. Thought i think you can tell the miner to insert a certain voltage, i haven't tried it out.  

for a complete 6 RX 580 8gb cards mining rig the total power consumption according to some people is about 850W to the wall. like 125W per card (assuming idle power consumption of about 100W)This is achivable just by going to 75-80W on the core power consumption.


I can confirm, that , with my settings above, i don't need to plug the 6 pin conector, it will be perfectly fine with the 8 pin connector while hashing. i've tried even 1450mhz on the core and 2250 on mem with just 6mv added to stock voltage on the core with only the 8 pin connector and it was perfectly stable in Uniengine Heaven and 3dmark fire strike, so....there you are.

according to my numbers, my card uses while hashing a total power consumption of about 150W, Being like 100W for the core and 50W for other components. I've tried going below that, but the savings on W are very little compairing with the Mh i do not get.

Ik wil ook weer instappen in het zelf minen van coins. Ik heb een tijdje met asics gespeeld (USB miners) en dat vond ik erg leerzaam. Nederland is qua stroomverbruik nou niet echt een handig land om in te wonen om te minen. Als ik voor de GPU vriendelijke coins zou willen gaan (bijv. Monero, ETH of nieuwe/onbekende coins) waarvoor (nog) geen asics zijn, welke kaart raden jullie mij dan aan. Het gaat mij vooral om efficentie, zodat ik niet onevenredig leeg loop op stroomkosten.

Agreed. I predicted $5 before end of year and $10 by Q1 2018 but it seems we will see $10 much sooner than end of Q1.

I'm using 1 Shappire RX 580 Nitro+ 8gb with hynix memory. I just modded the bios

this are my numbers:

260W ish from the wall
mining etherium at 31.8mh/s.
1250mhz on the core
2250mhz on the memory
around 100W for the gpu core
fan speed at 30% around 57ºC for a 24hours period.
-175mV on the core
from 949 to 955mV while hashing.

am i doing the things right? Thanks for your help.

Ik had namelijk nog een AMD R9 270 en een HD6950, die waren al redelijk verouderd.
Toen ik naar andere keek, was er een rage op die 480 en 580 series, nergens te krijgen en vreselijk duur.
Toen kon ik voor een redelijke prijs deze een paar maanden geleden aanschaffen en ben er redelijk tevreden over, er zijn nu ook veel cuda drivers te verkrijgen voor de meeste algos en zijn ook eens zuiniger wat betreft de stroom.

Ik mine ook, ben een paar jaar geleden begonnen met AMd kaarten nu ben ik ovegestapt op Nvdia en heb 3x Gigabyte Gaming G1 1070s 8gb, zat eerst op Nicehash, maar nu mine ik ether.
Heb 5x gridseeds liggen en stuk of 6 usb blok eruptors, thumbs en nog wat. en nog een Baikal cube 300Mhs x11, maar die heb ik helaas opgeblazen
Verder laat ik de computer rekenen voor Boinc en krijg ik ook voor de moeite wat gridcoins.
En mijn investering in de DMD multipool had ik binnen een maand terug

Ik heb een Bitcoin Address en een Private Key. Kan ik het daarmee controleren?
Inmiddels heb ik het adres gecontroleerd op Blockonomics.
Daar wordt maar 1 transactie gemeld op dat adres. Die transactie heeft de datum waarop ik de BTC aanschafte.

Als de BTC in de Mt.Gox hack verloren zou zijn gegaan, zou ik dan meer transacties moeten zien?
