Hi there,

Love the site. I use it everyday.
One suggestion: Can you add indicators for the grouped orderbook so that when support or resistance levels change, we can see them easier?

Right now we have to pay attention to the numbers every refresh. It would be great if we can see walls shrinking and growing with some colors (red/green) or maybe up/down arrows. So for example, if we have a whale add support at $600 with 10,000 coins, we could see the support level change from 100 to 10,100 like normal, but with an up arrow (or maybe green color for 10,100). And if this whale decides to withdraw his support of 10,000, we should see it come back to 100 but with a down arrow next to it (or maybe just color 100 as red) If we use colors, the bigger the change, the brighter the color should be. This would make it much easier to see those changes in support and resistance!

Okay, looking back through some of these post I see lot's of people getting fed up. Join the crowd. Other people are like "Why so childish and impatient?" Because my fucking money has been in limbo for not 3 hours, not a day, not a week, but 6 fucking months. You'd be pissed to. I'd imagaine some of those who were so patient at first are now on the same page as the rest of us "children" and dicks". If not, you're time is coming. I await you're apology.
It's all the same story- patient, nice, told the problem would be fixed.  After a week the patience is done. I just want my money and too be done with this company. Your time is coming to get ripped off. I urge you not to wait- if you get your money, count yourself lucky and DO Not Use BIT"instant" Again.

I hope you have already PMed me more info...I will be checking PMs soon.  Cheesy

Still nothing. Although I did receive an email from Bitinstant saying the order was executed, nothing was actually sent so I don't even know what the email means.

I'm assuming this is to a bitcoin address here? but I believe they release BTC in batches every now and then throughout the day. It took a couple hours for me to be able to see mine on the blockchain and it is currently in the process of being verified

FANTASTIC!

They finally sent it through. It's unconfirmed but I see it and I'm happy. Bitinstant came through and appears to be responsive.
You realize that they used some poor schmuck's money to send you yours?
Now that poor schmuck is gonna come here later and ask where his money went

Hello Charlie, Yankee, Ursay, et al at BitInstant:

Please open a support ticket and/or add this market rate at the time of deposit discrepancy to your support list.  An incorrect market rate was used when BitInstant fulfilled the following cash deposit to bitcoin address orders.  Our calculation shows that BitInstant owes 0.74328086 BTC.

Thanks for your assistance in correcting this.

2 x ZipZap/MoneyGram cash deposits were made to fund bitcoin wallet addresses:

4/10/2013 02:40PM PST, $503.95 ($480.05 after fees) to 1PAnA5WoSV9iXvKTKYZ7VvAsUcmUX1LsKJ
4/10/2013 02:48PM PST, $503.95 ($480.05 after fees) to 182BXFTnXoie81qRnT8o8zTFKkiPRuqex3

BTC weighted price on Mt. Gox at approximate time of deposits (retrieved from bitcoincharts.com):

4/10/2013 02:40PM PST, 1 BTC = $177.59
4/10/2013 02:48PM PST, 1 BTC = $161.43

Expected BTC deposit:

$480.05 / $177.59 = 2.70313644 BTC
$480.05 / $161.43 = 2.97373475 BTC

Actual BTC deposited (incorrect exchange rate USD) (discrepancy BTC):

2.41687470 BTC ($198.62) (-0.28626174 BTC)
2.51671563 BTC ($190.74) (-0.45701912 BTC)

Total BTC due: 0.74328086 BTC

If BitInstant concurs, please remit 0.74328086 BTC to original BTC addresses (listed above).

Further details of the payment orders and transactions are provided below.

Thanks for your attention to this matter. Have a good weekend.

Good luck with that, youre better off getting your $ back at the rate of deposit, given the current exchange rate. Then use SOMEBODY ELSE other than BITSCAM to get your BTC at a much better market rate

Hello all, first time here, and it's obvious I'm not alone. .. I sent bitinstant $400 2 weeks ago today, received an email saying my funds were directly deposited into gox and there was no need for coupon code. At gox, I got "code is used or non existent" ( like I've seen others here have gotten ) . Several emails to Bitinstant have gotten me nowhere . I get passed off, ignored, told my email was sent to the CEO. Since when do CEOs deal with coupon codes and such? ANyway, its obvious to me now after finding this thread that it wasn't just me, which is kinda comforting .. ( ? ).  Bitinstant has stopped responding to me altogether.
Can someone here please save me over 200 pages of reading and fill me in real quick on what's happening and if we'll be seeing our money. Can these guys really just take our money and walk away? Can't the better business bureau or something handle this in some way? What can I do to get my money back? Thanks guys.

You can read a faster analysis of the situation here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=155533.msg1689331#msg1689331

As far as whether or not you'll see your money, that depends.  The simple fact of the matter is that Bitinstant is running a deficit - know one knows how much or why.  They lost or took a huge amount of customer money at some point (or it's still going on).  What this means is that old orders are processed only when funds from new orders come in.  If there aren't enough new orders to process the outstanding ones, then orders don't get processed.  As long as the cycle continues, I suppose it will work.  Problem is, it's obvious from this thread and other sources that new orders are not covering the shortfalls by a long shot.  It's only a matter of time before someone calls the cops, and the whole thing comes to an abrupt end.  Make no mistake: Bitinstant was at one time legitimate, but is now nothing more than a Ponzi scheme.

Hmm, that makes a lot of sense

This post by the CEO is the official word: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=128314.msg1776479#msg1776479

Basically, they're swamped and URSAY here has been putting people in support lists numbered by date. He reads the thread, notes down peoples complaints (write your complaint with your email address and QuoteID/OrderID so you get on a support list) and then eventually someone with powers does something about it when they get to it.

Some people got what they wanted, and some people from support list for old dates still haven't got what they wanted. I ordered bitcoins to my bitcoin address via Moneygram on very early 4/7 and wrote about not getting my bitcoins on this thread and got on "support list 4/8". They sent me bitcoins on 4/8 but they were sent at the market rate of 4/8, so I got less BTC than I should have.

So I came on here again and posted my QuoteID, email address, and calculations for the remaining BTC at exchange rate at the time of deposit on 4/7, and got put on a "support list 4/9" to get the remaining BTC and now its 4/11 and still haven't got my remaining BTC...

Level 2 support response for this list is, "Processed!  Sorry for the delay!"

Rocker122 / twigger13 / Apanauc / gordon154 / pennypack / PC_Mobile / Panzerknacker / ikuzo1 / Rafa7 / kubrickonthemoon / ilich / thewebguy0 / chile / cooljay24 / pennyback / iiqher / logeyG / Singlebyte

More to come...   Smiley

P.S.  If you logged a second issue then consider this may only be the response to your first issue.

Can someone who knows explain what he means by Level 2 support? And what list is he talking about?
I'm on the 4/9 list, waiting for remaining btc to be transferred to me at the exchange rate at deposit time. So I'm guessing that's my "second issue" right? What do you mean this may be the only response to your first issue. Not understanding this post very well...

Ursay, I wanna buy more BTC using Bitinstant. Is it advisable to do this right now?

I used cash to GOX deposit yesterday with my GOX user name.  New MX number failed when I tried this morning.  I would suggest using your GOX user name for now.  Cheesy

I was planning on using Cash deposit at Walmart using Moneygram -> ZipZap -> Bitinstant -> Bitcoin address
Is that system automatically working now and fixed? Or will you have to manually put that through like my previous orders?

Let me know whats up, I'm about to leave the house and want to put in a order, depending on your answer

I currently can't give you a status on this.  Sorry.

Just so you know I went and deposited cash at Walmart -> Moneygram -> Zipzap -> Bitinstant -> Bitcoin address anyway, and I got my BTC at my address in under an hour.
It looks like things are fixed?

Just so you know, I had the same problem as you guys but I got my BTC in finally.

I was seeing the same things as you guys are now: no response from anything: not on emails, not on the support channel, not on the PMs to URSAY, and forget about the phone. I was getting mad. Just relax a little bit and be nice.

To give you an idea of my situation:
My deposit was on 4/7, I eventually got on a ticket for 4/8, and I got my BTC at the current rate on 4/8.
I PM'd URSAY to escalate and get them to honor the exchange rate at the deposit time on 4/7. Now I'm waiting on that, and on a ticket for 4/9. FYI Yankee, the CEO of Bitinstant, came on the thread earlier and said himself they'd honor the exchange rate at the deposit time: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=128314.msg1776479#msg1776479

So yeah, just be patient, realize that their automated systems probably took a beating and theyre having to do things manually. Theres only so many of them (and yes theyve hired more people)

Just make sure you get URSAY to see your QuoteID and to get on a list

Hi guys, I learnt about bitcoins only this year. I was active in distributed computing projects like Folding@Home earlier on. I thought to myself there must be a way to make money for myself instead of donating cpu power to helping humanity, the selfish person that I am. At the time there was nothing like bitcoin, and I had only a Celeron M on my laptop and was getting left behind in the dust by people who had just started using their PS3s and GPUs for distributed computing projects. So I gave up and forgot about it as I could not invest in a new computer with a powerhouse GPU just for donations sake. Being out the loop because of my discouragement, I missed the early Bitcoin train!

After I learnt of bitcoin, I began toying with the idea of investing in a mining rig for the purposes of making money. I am wondering if it is still possible for someone without any electricity costs (University situation) to earn at least the cost of hardware back? I realize that the difficulty levels are rising exponentially, the USD/bitcoin rate has been trending downwards since June.. All of this makes me wonder whether or not if it is worth it or not?
