PSD. Your paintings relate to www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z9WVZddH9w

Cool man, I saw some stuff about that a long time ago. I know they are along the same lines but I haven't given it an honest look in a while. Ill check that link today. There is another one called The Venus Project, which I think is more geared towards deployment of the resource based economy. I will have more time now since I quit my day job. Keep in touch!

Thought provoking, PSD.

As with any form of art, it is not about what is seen, but more about what is taken from it.

Here is my take on each.

1)  What we can give each other as a human being, is outweighed and thought more important by what we are increasingly pressurised to buy for each other and our children. The newest  iPhone, the newest gaming console, a ladys watch which was advertised on TV, a bottle of aftershave on a billboard and so on. True love and understanding has been replaced and accepted by these materialistic acts. Daddy is worthless, only the things he has given me have any value.

2) Our local farmers, butchers, bakers and candlestick makers have all but vanished, the unlucky ones were unable to survive along side corporate markets. For the population to survive, we all must now work for the corporations to earn their money to feed, house and clothe ourselves. We are losing all our skills and becoming ever more reliant on the giants we despise so much. This hatred has overflowed into our own communities as our local economy has broken down and we rely less on our neighbours and the trade we had between them.

3) We are paid from a fund way down the pyramid scheme our governments call the economy. Already the cash you recieve in your wage has been borrowed, loaned and inflated numerous times, and your next wage countless times more. Eventually this unsustainable  economy will become so unsteady it will collapse.

4) Decentralised currencies and the development of 3D printers could give us the ability to take back the reigns from banks and corporations. Control over our own finances and the ability to produce mostly anything you would need, without relying on it being mass produced and overpriced by large company's. We can eventually repair our broken world and fix the system.

5) We are taught what we are told must be taught to us. Each teaching is not for the benefit of ourselves and those around us, but for the benefit of the powers that be.
Technology is accelerating at such a great speed that the tv you bought last month is now half the price, and you could buy one twice as good in a months time.  Either that or the word obsolete would become itself obsolete and eventually replaced by the word obselete.

Spot on Killiz! I later added some captions. You can check them out at http://cryptotown.org, but you got the idea Cheesy Thanks for the feedback!

PSD for Dalai Lama!

Interesting write up. One serious question though, did your ego put you up to writing this, or was it enlighenment that guided you?

I must say I prefer the old PSD, but one must get lost before he is found again haha. Happy travels!

Lol Killiz! To the serious question, its simply dropping views and going with the flow.

Enlightenment of the Blockchain Masters
Brian Vereschagin

November 2014 Issue of Cryptobiz Magazine

If wisdom was easy to come by, we might be colonizing space by now. We have been conditioned to believe that this higher intelligence is beyond the average person, and allow ourselves to go through endless cycles of ignorance and destruction. It is important for us to open our mind to the possibilities of our own psychology and the world it may create. We will use a scientific method of exploration to allow each of us a chance to listen quietly for experience that cannot be told.

Exploring the relationship between the blockchain and the real world is a primary concern to the CryptoTown On The Ground project. This project grew out of the consultancy culture in practice amongst the community of its primary supporter, Cryptogenic Bullion (CGB), a crypto committed to higher-level thinking. The intent of this article is to empower each individual to  participate in meaningful collaboration, a challenge for so many reasons, as we will attempt to explore.

The blockchain phenomenon introduced itself through the release of Bitcoin (BTC), a global digital currency with no central point of control. The functionality of the central bank has been replaced by a network-based, cryptographically secured currency. To sweep aside of our debt based, centrally planned currencies, is only the first, most obvious opportunity. Blockchain technology has a much bigger role to play, in a much bigger story, than most would ever dream.

The effects of pervasive deception and exploitation can be seen throughout nature. This is a primary reason why blockchain based consensus is so important to building a society that deserves our trust. It seems that every opportunity to corrupt human trust, where significant power is involved, has been met with the appropriate deception and exploitation required to command preferably permanent benefits. This expedition will take us through our environment, into our past, and to new worlds of the future.

Life requires the ability to reproduce, or it would not proliferate or evolve. This is interesting to consider because, it allows an exponential growth pattern, seen in all life where resources are abundant and predators are absent. What is not often understood about the exponential function is how suddenly the end comes, quickly devouring what once seemed like so much.

All life has to acquire necessities to sustain life, or it would not exist. This is the reason why exponential growth may lead to exponential exploitation and collapse of ecosystems. It is also the reason for competition under conditions of scarcity. This competition, also known as survival of the fittest, has led to refined offensive and defensive abilities amongst species, as well as a healthy fear of this competition.

Over time, fear has proven to be useful to survival, as it can be seen throughout higher life. In addition to our here-and-now danger response, a fearful mind may also be consumed with future possibilities. The extent to which we have excelled at deception and exploitation has forged this powerful defense mechanism. This is of key importance because fear seems to be the most powerful trigger to automated behavior.

We are all born innocent, and what happens after that cannot be blamed on anyone. While considering potentially disturbing implications of this journey, it is important not to think in terms of division. Everything the human race does, it does to itself, because it is uncoordinated overall, with each one of us bound by the same isolated subjective experience. We haven't yet figured out how to build a truly peaceful civilization, but we can do it if we realize the futility of division and polarization.

Having gone over some possible reasons to expect pervasive deception and exploitation, we can appreciate how grouping behaviors based in fear would provide advantage to their members. It seems evident that intelligent coordination within nature has been utilized for both offensive and defensive operations, amongst and within all higher species. This phenomenon has been crafted to great complexity in human societies, through our technology and our culture.

If we imagine a simplistic model of communication technology and societies throughout our history, we can start with spoken language. It enables complex tribal societies, but knowledge is easily lost and distance is challenging. Written language and its technology allows for coordination over long distances and better preservation of knowledge. We are going to look at the flow of ideas and the competition amongst them as the self-domestication of our species.

We are all in a very similar situation when it comes down to it. We would like to organize into societies to coordinate labor and supplies, provide safety, and live fulfilling lives. There are many different views on the best way to do that, and a very complex battle amongst them in the minds of us all. This competition starts with the education system, where we receive the programming necessary to function.

Each individual is built upon to the specifications of society. We become isolated from the responsibilities and direct experience of existence, and become dependent on society. In hierarchy dominated societies, this dependence can even isolates us from our community. Its important to try our best to remain neutral when applying theory to reality, understanding that forces out of our control have shaped our entire environment, and us.

The printing press industrialized the broadcasting of information. Vast hierarchies (and networks) enabled by written language have greatly leveraged printed media to extend the reach and convergence of their respective ideologies. Books and newspapers, however, remained wrapped up in capital costs and politics beyond the reach of most individuals. The nature of print is one-way and authoritative, enabling massive hierarchies, while the Internet grants equal participation to all. The Internet enables global coordination in networks, just as the printing press enabled global coordination in the hierarchies of modern society.

We have almost laid the foundation upon which blockchain technology can be appreciated, but a final look inward, each into our own mind, will be needed to experience the wisdom behind what is being said. The ego will be examined as the nexus of control which occupies our time according to society. It may be uncomfortable to read, but please consider it as a possible model, while trying to avoid personal interpretations or reactions.

The organs of society have come about through the development of obstructions between the individual and their direct connection to existence. Religions of power have exploited our direct experience of love and of the divine, replacing knowing, with symbolic metaphor, mere echoes of the truth. Government and corporation manage our safe access to food and water, and provision our shelter. Responsibility for most aspects of life including order and security has drifted away from community based networks, and toward hierarchies.

A strong sense of self confidence is the only necessary goal of education to such a society. From here, desires and aversions can be crafted into levers of control known as views and beliefs. The subconscious can be woven into the very fabric of society to create the structure know as the matrix, the wall, the ego, the personality. The true individual will remain subdued behind these structures, enraptured by the spectacle, so long as the inner world of the mind remains unexplored.

This exploration can be called meditation, and it is the only foundation on which to discover and know any truth for yourself. If we can stomach a little more abuse, we will try to show  how such a society enables its coordination. We are pushed towards the left, processing brain known as mind, where behavior is automated in the subconscious, and away from the right creative brain known as heart. Where life appears to be composed of routine functions of society, learning to do instead of to think, working jobs that could one day be automated, using prescribed emotional reactions, this is where the autopilot function of the ego can be seen.

We collect and repeat knowledge which supports ideologies, and have even developed defense mechanisms against wisdom. If this exercise so far has made you bored, uncomfortable, or possibly even angry, this is because it has approached the uprooting of something bound in the subconscious. Through meditation, we can begin to peel away our views and reconnect with the heart, where a quieted mind reveals wisdom. This should not be mistaken for a religious experience. Science has long observed the observer to reveal experiences of direct knowing, which can be discovered by anyone.

The survival mandate of deceive and exploit can be seen manifesting throughout history as corruption. We don't often realize that the profit motive, enshrined to law in our society, is how we have sanctioned this type of behavior. Human trust has always been subject to exploitation, and this often proves to mean the end of our collective efforts, large or small.

Religion and government have both tackled the problems of corruption, through concern for just weights and measurements of commerce, and the maintenance of equal justice. Where justice is not maintained, confidence is shattered by the spectre of terminal looting. The system, at that point, become twisted enough to make whistleblowing an existential threat.

The blockchain, at its core, is not subject to the corruption of human trust. Elements of programmable, network-based trust will bring automation to government, finance, education, anything. Its important not to polarize on the perceived duality of hierarchy and network, or we will miss the middle path. A mix of both, which compared to today's extremes, will look like decentralization, with the sharing of crowd wisdom, and the meeting of needs through local coordination.

When the profit motive has completely saturated all opportunities for growth, little remains but the final collapse of resources. Civilization becomes bound in deception; fixing symptoms, never causes. The transition from a profit based economy to a resource based economy could preclude this global outcome.

Even with the corrupted mismanagement we apply to our collective natural heritage, we still encounter the prospect of abundance and automation which threatens to put us all out of work. The Venus Project explores the workings of a resource based economy and society as an alternative to profit driven resource allocation. The blockchain has tremendous potential, in a resource based economy, to imbue the very plumbing of society with our collective wisdom.

The networked world simply unfolds around us as seen in projects like Transition, Open Source Ecology, and RepRap self-replicating 3d printer, which aim to empower communities with self-reliance and sustainability. We may see programmable blockchains and automatic decentralized exchanges replace the finance industry. Network-secured public voting and discussion, as explored by BitCongress, an Ethereum based app, could change the very way that we govern ourselves.

The CryptoTown On The Ground project provides guidance and resources for crypto-collaborators, both online, and offline through grassroots consulting and local organization. It uses a cryptomall structure to connect the cryptocurrency development community with strategic insight and feedback gained through on the ground collaboration with participating communities. Collaborative guidance will be available for the transition to localized blockchain apps like public audit, currency, exchange, resource allocation, discussion and voting. This relies only on the participation of individuals like you.

As the network becomes more aware of itself, it will organize to express our creative nature towards each other. Society will become a matter of public participation and audit, but also of individual autonomy. We will apply the latest technology to become self sustainable, and responsible for our future. Through development of automated, renewable, abundance on the local level, the profit motive can be replaced with blockchain secured management of the common bounty.

Where the hierarchy relies on productive task executers to obey authoritative broadcasts, the new world will find people ill prepared to act intelligently, or even to survive. In the network, broadcasts take on the self-replicating nature of life, with the individual acting as an intelligent traffic router. The individual is the main actor in this new world, and today’s education system will need to stop teaching producers and doers, and start teaching creators and thinkers.

Start discussing wisdom and forget the news. Become a supportive and self-reliant peer in the new frontiers of the networked world. Let the consultancy culture flourish in your communities!

Checking in. Was back to work today. BC was awesome, managed to consolidate some work/life balance. To clarify one thing, in my last post I meant to highlight the monetary system as an obvious lever of control, not to assert who is using it. I am also neither for nor against anything but simply creative. Libertarian ideals may be well reasoned, but they fail to capture larger shifts in consciousness and awareness. Few will understand the significance without further explanation and so I believe that introduction to these basics may be a forthcoming topic.

Wow I just spent an hour writing up a post and lost it cause my login timed out - uugh.

Lets just go over a couple important points!!

We are founding an institution here. A place where real work and collaboration can take place with a great awareness of the manipulation intended to derail Bitcoin and associated altcoin projects. We don't have to speculate here. The central banks could lose the power over our world granted by full control of our currencies. They pull the real strings in a web far greater than basic sovereign governments. The capital influence alone required to disenfranchise get rich quick investors is pocket change to them. We are playing a different game, it will take time to attract interest. The interest gathered through projects like CryptoTown will put CGB in the hands of investors who really understand what is happening here, and who will be willing to stick it out through the tough times.

Mark (IMZ) has expressed his intent to continue work with our community to advance the adoption of crypto. There are no expectations here, and we should accept that efforts may come as time and motivation becomes available. On that note, if anyone is waiting for direction, stop. Get creative - there is work to do in every facet of our projects.

It seems that the overall crypto sector is in a depression. So long as we are looking great by the time it all starts picking up again, I think we will easily shrug this off. As the CryptoTown project picks up and our client release brings a fresh wind to the sails, we will be in a strong and unique position. Let's not kid ourselves though, without self-directed participation (we provide so many opportunities and resources), the work will not be done, and awareness will not be realized.

One final insight I can provide here draws from my experience in the precious metals markets. I won't go into great detail here, but I have given up hope on the price of precious metals taking off to their next new highs before a major economic crisis happens. The reason for this is that they are being suppressed in part to mask the rotting decay of the USD as a reserve currency. A rise in gold will only happen once insider hope is lost and they jump ship to the next system. When this happens, not only will gold skyrocket, but crypto may be a large recipient of this fleeing capital. If CGB is in tip top shape and at a ridiculously low prices, it will be primed for some potentially extreme price action.

The post I had written up was much better than this, but I need to get back to relaxin Smiley

Blockchain-Based Consensus in a CryptoTown Society

Originally published to CryptoBiz Magazine August 2014 Issue pg. 30. (32-33 in viewer)

Please also see the Reddit post for further discussion.

This version is the final draft. They may have edited it but I don't have a text copy of that.

The implications of blockchain based consensus reach far beyond the integrity of our currencies. Individuals have never had the ability to independently verify the integrity of the information networks and hierarchies that compose their society. Even further still, we have never had a viable alternative to the profit motive, which is based on the consume and multiply model seen throughout nature. Technology threatens to put an end to scarcity at the same time our civilization careens toward the end of a parabolic rise in resource exploitation. Blockchain technology allows for the cooperation required to transition our society from the destructive motivation of profit, to those of human needs and sustainability.

This awakening may be put into context by studying the different ways in which we have shared information in the past. Spoken language has a limited proximity and spreads slowly while residing in the volatile minds of our early ancestors. Written language provided reliable storage and the geographical reach to enable expansive societies. The invention of the printing press brought broadcast media, capturing the knowledge of the world to book and leading us to the radio and television. The Internet brought us instant worldwide interactivity and collaboration between participants. With each revolution, the amount of information available to each individual has exploded.

The kind of information shared within and amongst societies ranges from cultural ideas to financial accounting and ownership. Access to and control of such information has been traditionally trusted to hierarchical institutions such as government, corporate media and central bank. This system ultimately relies on individual human trust, which is the reason that our exploits manifest themselves in the direction of our civilization. Blockchain based consensus allows us to construct and voluntarily participate in systems of rules designed to augment or replace critical points of trust within all levels of society.

The CryptoTown On The Ground project was launched to encourage collaboration between crypto pioneers, development talent, and expert guidance on the critical path toward mainstream adoption of crypto. A grassroots approach acknowledges that existing institutions are ultimately motivated to create scarcity and dependence and will not help us. Independence is achieved through the cryptomall model of local support networks and the the continual refinement of tools and methods employed. Although most of the crypto crowd is currently focused on cryptocurrencies, they are just a part of the global shift towards decentralization in which new elements of society are emerging from cryptographically secured trust.

The process of decentralization is like a swinging pendulum finding balance between hierarchies and networks. Some things may transition to a network model of cooperation like cryptocurrency, yet we may still try to pass the responsibility of protecting our private keys to centralized exchanges and wallet services. Throughout history we have tried many methods of societal organization, but until now, every facet has been subject to the exploitation of human trust. The profit motive, enshrined to law, is a cultural relic of an environment of scarcity and exploitation where technology now threatens sustainability and abundance. Crypto may help to form the bridge between a civilization forged in the fires of scarcity, to one ultimately motivated by human needs and sustainability.

We may gather insights about how the profit motive emerges from more fundamental trends by examining the diversity of life on planet Earth. In the absence of a natural predator, we can observe the exponential growth of a species, and the collapse of its underlying resources. When the underlying motive for each individual is profit and growth, the end result is a catastrophic depletion of carrying capacity. The exploitation of every last opportunity fuels a pervasive resistance to obsolescence, resulting in artificial scarcity and an obsessive aversion to solving problems. Institutional hierarchies built of human trust may feel threatened by the prospect of transparency, where exploitation of opportunities for personal gain may be the glue of the operation.

Real-time global interaction of culture and ideas, coupled with the authentic persistance of the blockchain provides individuals with equal access to the vast structures of society. As we develop the ability to interact directly with the uncensored contours of our collective will, wild phenomena such as the blockchain itself may emerge. Manipulation-free access to our peers may awaken a new consciousness which is aware of The Game, and may cooperate to become self-sustainable,

We are born innocent and taught by society how to react to each situation with programmed aversions and desires. We each believe most strongly in our own experience of what constitutes a normal society and culture. Awareness of this programming is required to transcend the fearful grouping and exploitation behaviors of a system that has nearly run its course. If we are to believe that currency is the most potent blockchain application, we may overlook the possibility of obsoleting the very concept of money and economics.

First, I have been neglecting my weekly update duties. The next post may reveal the reason why. I had a very tight schedule to produce it and have required rest since. Hopefully you will all understand. I will be on vacation for a couple weeks, checking in, but the team will be adding the update posts to their workload. I have conveyed a preference for titling it "CGB Cote Team and Community Update" as the weekly timeline thing doesn't work so well when there are ups and downs and busy schedules interfere.

we greatly increase the value of a transactional instrument by deeming it to be a non-transactional, which excuses us of most of the leg-work. Then we just sit and wait until They figure it out, and hand their money over. [It's happened once; it must happen again.]

This is great fundamental analysis Mark. Hope doesn't do much. We have to actually wonder who it is exactly who is going to start using this if the awareness is not created.

Regarding what makes CGB valuable, we have beaten the horse dead as far as what makes CGB unique (in important ways). Mark is right to point out the critical path here. I would suggest that we look exactly to the history of gold and how it was adopted (or how we think it would be). We better quickly realize that it was used in coinage along with silver in pseudo standard sizes to facilitate trade. CGB right now is like gold nuggets and flakes. Many other coins are figuring out how to better interact with the network. I would only bother looking to Bitcoin for the potential. We may be conflating ease of use with ease of spending. Ease of use is critically important, though certainly gold is used as a currency throughout history.

An update will be coming along shortly regarding the CGB client specifically. To get a bigger picture of what CGB is bringing to the table and what will raise awareness about it, check out the theory we're operating on. I suspect its a bit higher level than most. The advantages of this may be underestimated.

And because I cant help it:

This is a preview, vault motif in the works. We are looking at September for release, still much to do.

At these prices I'm becoming a CGB baby whale.  Hurray. I noticed that it takes 200 confirmations when depositing coins to Cryptsy.  For me this makes me think twice before selling my coins, which is a good thing.  LOL

I'm not sure I would change any fundamentals about this coin except I would try to be more clear to people about the staking.  There was some confusion on my part on how often you had to stake to get the full 1.5% of the total 2% inflation from POS.  Is it every 30 day or every 90 days?

So just to be clear for those who may be new to this coin or Cryptocurrencies in general.  This coin is a Proof of Stake/Proof of Work hybrid with 2% capped inflation rate and less than 1 million coins currently.   1.5% inflation you can claim by staking (proof of stake) and .5% inflation goes to miners (proof of work).  That means you can claim for free 75% of the total inflation of the coin by simply opening and unlocking your wallet every 90 days metronomically.   What other financial security lets you do that?  In addition you have the option to mine your share of the other .5% inflation.   This system is preferable to pure proof of work coins such as Bitcoin and Worldcoin which have no proof of stake feature but have a cap on the total number of coins, but in the short term have massive inflation decreasing slowly over time.  If I invest in Worldcoin there are 100,000 new coins hitting the market every couple of days and I have no right to claim any of that devaluation.  That's the same as hyperinflation even if only temporary.  That's why coins such as Worldcoin are great for spending but not great as an investment and CGB is great as an investment.  CGB is also preferable to pure proof of stake coins as it still reaps the benefits of mining to secure the network yet the rewards are low enough from mining so as to not worry about miners manipulating the price by dumping on the market.

CGB is pure genius. It is by far my favorite crypto security so far.   I wouldn't change anything really about the coin.  This coin does not need gimmicks or a flashy wallet etc. Now it's just a matter of telling people about it.  All it takes is one new mutual fund adding CGB to their portfolio to raise the market cap significantly.   I really don't understand people selling right now unless it is to me.  Thank you very much.

coininvestor! That's some seriously quality observation! I agree about the staking explanation. It's a question that comes up all the time. I should log in and see if my order is filled. It's at such a great price and even still you can get a larger pile by picking strategic support positions and waiting. Then again you might miss the train!!!! Cheesy

CryptoTown Explained - Goals, Roles and Advantages

Please also see the Reddit post for further discussion and updated post.

CryptoTown On The Ground

Project Goals

I have added the following introductory paragraph: Blockchain based consensus will help to bring about a better balance between extreme centralization (hierarchies), and extreme decentralization (anarchy). It will allow us to more intelligently and transparently structure or replace certain components of government, business and other social functions like currency. A major advantage of blockchain based consensus is that it can leave no opportunities for our natural behaviour to exploit. Bitcoin is the first proof, that voluntarily participation in such a cryptographically pre-structured rule set, is possible. This is important, because if we are going to accept a system as a society, it should be transparent, for the ultimate health of that system.

I also acknowledged a major facet of the project which is all the other ways blockchain technology can improve society. CryptoTown On The Ground is not just about cryptocurrency, though it is a logical first step for adoption.

Also keep in mind, some of this stuff may seem obvious to you but it's intended to be a project of greater participation and not just for the crypto crowd.

Two: Comments, please: ten minutes ago, I was talking to my trader about analysing this: Bitcoin and Friends drop in price on the spot when bad news surfaces -- arrest of Dread Pirate, The China Thing, Gox -- but it doesn't spike on good news. For example, acceptance by Dell computers is great news.

Mark, Australia

2. Trust comes on foot and leaves on a horseback.

Adoption doesn't necesarily raise the price on shortterm, it would be based on hype and enthousiasm which is often full of empty air, it's about real usage, spending and saving longterm. Someone buys a bitcoin, buys a computer, Dell sells a bitcoin, it could even out and do nothing to the price. But they may want to hold a reserve so could be selling a little less bitcoins than they receive. If all customers also keep a little extra in the wallet... it all adds up and slowly makes less btc available on the market. Ofcourse all the news that comes out around the big company helps to attract more people to learn about bitcoin, plus offering 10% discount when using btc is like a honeypot. It does take time to grow. Many pumpage is proven false and the prices get kicked back to where it should be based on natural growth.

Agreed. It could even be price negative depending on how they are accepting the Bitcoin. If its being sold for fiat immediately, this could actually provide a negative price pressure to balance the positive news.

Getting hammered on bad news and hearing crickets on good news is something that reminds me of the gold and silver markets since the spike in 2011. It has been nothing but a managed decline since using a similar pattern. It's hard to say anything for sure, but we can almost safely assume that anything which can be manipulated at this point, is manipulated out of necessity. As with most things in our society right now, its 100x more important that something looks good, than actually is good. As we are on the edge of dollar collapse and the rise of the next big monetary system, its important to the kleptocracy (see video posted just above Smiley) that the existing infrastructure be made to look attractive, while all alternatives like gold, silver, and CGB are hammered to simply look bad.

Interesting article, quite technical (centralization vs decentralization) "Networks vs. Hierarchies: Which Will Win? Niall Furguson Weighs In" - Michael Krieger

I challenge anyone to get through that in one sitting. I am only half way through. You can also skip to the end for a really cool video : Bitcoin threatens kleptocracy and through that bitcoin saves capitalism with Andreas Antonopoulos.

Wow I never paid attention or noticed but that guy is a machine. Total topic ownership.

edit: another cool article.

I just got an idea but I'm not sure if its a great one Smiley

Maybe it exists already. Has anyone heard of a guide to analysing cryptocurrencies?

All the specs, what they mean, different technologies and maybe a tech tree of their relevance in the big picture. This should in no way get into specific examples or data. I could see this as being useful for investors to better understand what sets CGB apart. It would also likely make its way into the CryptoTown project as a major component.

I have no time right now for anything like that so I'm just throwing it out there. Cheers!

Net thing driving me nuts!

There is a 'list of proof of stake coins' on bitcointalk.

Mark, Australia

I mean, CGB just passed a milestone while entering its permanent long term inflation target. What other coins have also done so? We could look through lists and calculate each one to see where it's at in its life cycle but that will take a long time. Was hoping others might just know other coins in the same boat. Do your neighbors all have the same internet issues? Maybe they know some better way?

...

  • Quark (6MO)
  • BlackCoin (1WK)

Please add to the list!

Are you looking for alts that do not have a PoW phase any more?
The newer generation PoW / PoS hybrids generally have a very short PoW state and then jump to PoS only with a high interest rate. Please see Mintcoin for instance; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450381.0

Check various multipool site stats for altcoins which are supported but not mineable anymore. This could perhaps give many suggestions of PoW / PoS hybrids that are now PoS only. I cannot check more right now, but I'm sure that there must have been a couple dozen alts with an "instamining phase" PoW of hours - days -weeks that are now PoS only. Such alts may have a official multipool mining other altcoins and reinvesting the profits to support there coin on the crypto markets.

Yes I was thinking about Mintcoin but not sure. All valid factors. Sometimes we have a PoW stage which spreads coin through mining, and then to a PoS schedule which rewards early holders. I would say it could be useful to have two lists: One list where the PoW expansion phase has reached its long term rate, and another where we narrow it down to PoS schedule having also been completed (or was static like CGB).
