Aside being a coin to replace the unnamed dead one and being cheaper and faster, please kindly enumerate other edges ELYTE has?
EthereumLyte will be a desirable product in that users get the best discount rates from being in the black card club. We aim to be used for those bigger purchases. Making buying your next car / house / boat (?!) etc purchase easier for both you, and the seller. Offering quick transfers and low cost / low hassle exchange to fiat. We aim to remove the need to know the technicalities behind being on the ETH blockchain and the workings of a transaction by presenting seller / buyer with a simple website interface to top-up / cash out their funds.
This is our aim. We are a young project though, and will need to hire experts to help us accomplish this. If you think you can contribute feel free to pm one of the team!

A very good question
here are some points to note:
Originality is there because Elyte targets a niche segment of elites in the crypto space in need of a special payment system where they can convert their cryptos (BTC, ETH for examples) to fiat. Cheaper with state of the art insurance and security at lower costs than traditional cards. Of course this is not an easy task and there are top competitors hence we are hiring best developers in the industry (apply if you are one of them). Our low supply (lower than 1M circulation) and deflationary token nature shows that we are not like any other tokens that create millions of tokens to cash out. Our aim is those small niche customer segments that want something special for themselves alone call it the Porsche of the crypto cards -- with the best insurance and service system. And yes, reaching these segments will take a lot of marketing power (we made reserve for it already in our white paper) and are working towards it. With respect to solving ethereum transaction issue, we are open to suggestions of new technology advances. On the other hand, we aim to solve the issues in-house by being open to employing the best technology like the superior erc223 token for example. This would need much more take-up from exchanges first though.

Hi. I just got some ELYTE with the "Christmas Special" and filled out the Whitelist. I haven't received an email or anything from that. Could somebody explain what exactly the whitelist is and what one gets from filling out the form?

read enthusiastic above written posts, but I can not understand how this marker differs from others on the ether platform? beautiful name? but I have it in my purse with the same name of the coin, especially since I have to buy these coins, and the others I got in the landing ..
and the number of coins is only 1 million, I think this is very small for a large trading turnover, especially using a plastic card.
You make a very good point. But I would like to suggest, that we are aiming this card to be used for those bigger purchases. This is why we offer membership into our elite club. It will be invitation only for those that seriously wish to be involved.
Hopefully aiming this at those bigger purchases will make transfers of that kind a breeze for both customer and supplier alike. Like cash, but with all the security and speed crypto comes with.

WHAT IS ELYTE?
ELYTE is an ERC20 token which has been created to replace the dead [shall remain unnamed] coin and revive the community which supported it. There are 1 million ELYTE coins with 350,000 of them reserved for the dev fund and bounties. The aim is to make ELYTE the first Ethereum token that is used as a currency. It will be faster, cheaper than Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies and the goal is to be accepted by merchants. Coins will be distributed as fairly as possible to the community and community feedback will be sought at all stages of development.
WHY NOT JUST USE ETHER AS A CURRENCY?
Ether itself is not meant to be used as currency, but rather to pay for smart contract execution and the Ethereum community is not trying to work with merchants in any way, resulting in almost zero acceptance of ether as an actual currency. EthereumLyte will focus on being the best coin for payments and will try to work with merchants directly to accept it as a currency. Being based on Ethereum gives us big advantages, such as lightning fast transaction speed, low transaction cost and integration with Ethereum Smart Contracts.

Our aim is to partner with a card provider, with the aim of releasing our payment cards. We will have four, and only the smartest investors get a shot at holding the black card in their pocket.
