IBM creates largest ever superconducting quantum computer (https://www.newscientist.com/article/2297583-ibm-creates-largest-ever-superconducting-quantum-computer/?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_campaign=echobox&utm_medium=social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1636996153)

IBM has made a 127-qubit quantum computer. This is over double the size of comparable machines made by Google and the University of Science and Technology of China

------------
And the 1000+ qubits is not far.

A new mining pool http://pool.tidecoin.exchange is online. Expect more hash rate to different pools, as the decentrolized hash power is important to network.

Due to the very low hashrate in TDC pool of 185.207.207.168, there very few blocks can be mined now, so this pool will be shutdown in next several weeks. Miners in this pool can turn to the following pools:

Google plans to build commercial-grade quantum computer by 2029 (https://www.thenationalnews.com/business/technology/google-plans-to-build-commercial-grade-quantum-computer-by-2029-1.1225463)

Google aims to build a commercial-grade quantum computer by 2029 that can perform error-free complex calculations in less than fractions of a second, the company said.

The company’s chief executive Sundar Pichai announced the timeline and introduced the new Google Quantum AI campus in Santa Barbara, California, at the company’s virtual annual developer conference on Tuesday.

“Quantum computing represents a fundamental shift, because it harnesses the properties of quantum mechanics and gives us the best chance of understanding the natural world,” Mr Pichai said.

Quantum computers represent a massive acceleration in computing speed and performance.

The experimental quantum computer will be much more earlier than the commercial-grade one.

Who can tell me the Hashrate for Tidecoin?

Any hardware can be used for reference, I am very interested in Tidecoin, but i can't find more information.

I want to buy some machines to mine, may choose E5-2678v3 or AMD ryzen3600. Can anyone provide some information, thank you very much for your help!

I tested the I7-4710mq on my laptop and its hash rate is:
3T 380H 55%cpuuse
4T 400h 70%
7T 510h 93%
8T 620H 99%

Not very good, I need to find more efficient hardware.

No results is available in public. But some tests of yespower algorithm can be found:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Yenten/comments/dwbdq9/cpu_hashrate_table_for_yespower_yespowerr16/

This some tests for general yespower algorithm. The parameters above is not as same as Tidecoin, but it is still useful for reference.

Chinese team designs 62-qubit quantum processor with world's largest number of superconducting qubits (https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202105/1222944.shtml)

A Chinese research team has successfully designed a 62-qubit programmable superconducting quantum processor, naming it Zu Chongzhi after the noted 5th century Chinese mathematician and astronomer. The computer contains the largest number of superconducting qubits so far in the world, and achieved two-dimensional programmable quantum walks on the system, a major milestone in the field.

Open Quantum Safe organization build librarys for prototyping and experimenting with quantum-resistant cryptography, including post-quantum signature algorithm Falcon. The librarys is implement in many program languages, such C, C++, JAVA, PYTHON, GO, RUST, C#, etc. It's a very good reference for tidecoin app developers. For example, java's falcon library is:

A python implementation of the signature scheme Falcon is forked in tidecoin's repository.
https://github.com/tidecoin/falcon.py

You can use this lib to create keys, signature msg and verify signatures.

Let me get this straight.

So you are planning to have a futureproofed PQ-Coin in which random people will trust securing his MM of monies, but is named after a laundry detergent (WTF are you implying its future use for money laundering?) and still has Litecoin screens on the UX wallet core from the fork (double WTF)?

Huh Was this planned as a meme or are you serious about developing this (I'm not saying that it won't work as a meme, is just this does not look serious at all IMO) Huh Huh Huh

Smiley In an age full of jokes, the laundry detergent meme is good just like doge. But serously money laundering is not a good thing.

If there is any translation problem, please go to this folder: https://github.com/tidecoin/tidecoin/tree/master/src/qt/locale

Choose your local language file, and replace the words that is translated wrong. For example, Korean translation is in bitcoin_ko_KR.ts, bitcoin_ko.ts, and it is fixed in https://github.com/tidecoin/tidecoin/commit/5c97d6548205442015a63fd184e2a0d51d8b2193

Quantum computers could crack Bitcoin by 2022 ( https://decrypt.co/28560/quantum-computers-could-crack-bitcoins-encryption-by-2022 )

Quantum computers could one day be used to crack the encryption of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. And that day could come sooner than anticipated.

A 4,000 qubit quantum computer could, theoretically, crack Bitcoin's encryption in a matter of seconds.
The current generation of quantum computers max out at 54 qubits.
A quantum computer capable of cracking Bitcoin's encryption could be just two years away.
Hello Dev.
We have a question here.chinese community are wonder why the difficulty changed every 7200blocks.It seems big miner come and mine lots TDC when the difficluty is low.And they leave when the difficluty is high. And the rest will suffer the high difficulty for a longtime. So,people are thinking why dont you set the difficluty change every 1000block or every block?
Could you please explain to us?Smiley
Well, this situation is still exist when difficulty adjusting interval is shorten. Because the difficulty is inversely proportional to the real adjusting interval, the shorter length just make the fluctuation more frequently. To avoid this, it needs the hash rate to reach to a relative high level.
