password and username
Password for your wallet file is fine. It will help you to get access to that wallet and then private keys.

However, I would like to ask
  • What is username?
  • Do you imply about the file name of your wallet file?

Yes sorry I misspoke you are correct

Anything new in terms of recovery of wallets
by

Just curious if anything has changed in regards to recovery of wallets
I am assuming no and its gone forever
I have the address super old
12fTGYkX4chakBFwbShsr5VTmE7C1Kn25A
password and username
it was original bitcoin wallet back in the day that was a huge file and took forever to sync
obviously no backup file access to pc or 12 word phrase
little over 2.1 bitcoins that were deposited from my slush pool when I mined back in the day(have access to pool obviously )
would gladly split 50-50 with anyone if they have any ideas on retrieval

Re: Looking to purchase a couple s19j 100th

I purchased from bitmain before are they going under? Still reliable ?(only asking due to current Chinese laws on mining)

Any input from the good community would be appreciated
Do Canadians believe in Chinese laws, I think it's far away, maybe it has nothing to do with the mining regulations in Canada and China.

If the Asic you bought at bitmain and if it is still good for use in mining why not continue to mine, at least you must know the rules of miners in canada.

I think you shouldn't have any doubts about the current Chinese law, as long as the Canadian government doesn't make any negative policies for miners.

I no longer have the asic I bought it was too finicky
It also wouldn’t start properly in cold weather (in a basement with open window) I ended up getting it repaired mined with for a month and sold.
The only doubt or issue I had if China seized my bitmain order or shipment and I was SOL or bitmain took payment and never sent units and went under with a cash grab

I will stay away from eastcost only reason I emailed them was because someone on here recently said they had a good experience with them but you are right !

So safest bet buy directly from Bitmain

Any preference in terms or technology or development or reliability in the current s19j/s19pro lineup

Looking to purchase a couple s19j 100th
by
prpz
on 12/10/2021, 01:26:49 UTC
Haven’t bought an asic for a couple years and I am super weary of scams
I picked up a few before from bitmain
Quality wasn’t the best in the s17 64th units the 50th pros slightly better

What is the current line up like quality vise s19j 100- s19 pro 110
Any line to avoid? Is there a new miner around the corner (with the chip shortage )
I am from Canada so it’s impossible to find a local place that is trustworthy been working kijiji for a month but I don’t wanna buy something new at inflated prices and no warranty ? As bitmain only warranties the original purchaser per their website, is this correct ?
Bitmain has spot order right now at 10500usd for the s19j 100th is this reasonable
Usually get hit with 13% tax and about 300usd for shipping
I contacted eastcoastmining and it’s 1000 usd more for the exact same thing ? Is there any benefit going thru them or are there other options right now ?

the dag size increase slowed 1080ti down, its just the way it went, increasing the core helps, at least on mine.

the original pill may still help but the latest claymore has a straps option thats pretty good if you cant get the original pill i dont know where to get one as its long been taken down officially.

BEWARE the new fake eth pill you see in posts that pop up hourly it seem, they are malware.

Thanks for the info are currently running the straps with 1080tis or if anyone is what is the mhs
Can anyone confirm this there is a difference between straps plus pill vs just straps ?
Thanks !

Have an opportunity to score a 6 1080tis that probably were used in a mining rig at a reasonable price
The eth pill makes a difference I used it years ago while I had strix 1080ti as a gaming card and was doing around 54-55mhs on eth however seems like recently people are stuck in the low 40s
That’s is a big difference 30% !!! Specially across 6 cards
I read the posts above and still looks inconclusive
Can anyone help answer a couple questions ?
1. Is there place to download the ehtpill from or is anyone able to share it ?
2. Does it still work or does increasing the clocks to 1600-1800 work and if so are we taking mid 40s 49? Back to 54-55?
Appreciate any feedback as it does affect my buying decision

I am considering ordering s17+ couple units but I think price might drop a bit
Also these units not running right in cold is an issues (Canada ) I have mine on a open window...so air coming im is in the -5 to -15 range
plus the power consumption being higher than advertised is a potential issue
ugh...buy coin or buy gear
plus I feel a new unit is just around the corner

Selling three coupons above, value is in USD, they expire jan 31 2021, and can take of max 10% per oder (not per miner)
689 for 105
314 for 85
201 for 65
All three 200 Firm

I WILL NOT SEND coupon to you first unless you are trustworthy and have that rating +5 or higher
we will either go through a reputable member to act as an escrow or I will make an ebay listing for you

Until Carol asked me and told me they are processing it and asked me for confirmation of refund request

Great info and nice pics, how do you find them to react to hot/cold air?

I got my second s17e 64 and its behaving the same as the first , I cannot explain it so I figure id ask (the s17 pros do not behave this way)
I live in Canada and its 0 C currently if I plug the miner beside and open window for air intake the second hashboard never boots up only 0 and 2 showing
exactly the same as the first s17e I received, move it down on the floor and it runs fine, put it back by the window and same hashboard 1 doesn't boot up
turn it sideways so its not sucking in cold air, works???
secondly the hash is always lower with colder air avgs 63.5 by the windows fans 3800 and 4800 and 67.4 on the floor fans 5600 5700
issue is its sooo loud much louder then the s17 pros running normal or turbo
it also heats up a 450sq ft basement in no time from 20c to 25.5C the two s17s never managed to get it over 24.5 (even on colder nights)

I know the unit Is not detective as the previous was the same
how's them t17e are they rock solid? You had a couple days to play

I have had better fortune
I placed all my orders minutes into the S17E sales going live I believe 7:06 and 7:02, 7:03  am paid instantly so I believe this put me at the beginning of the line
Nov 1-10 Shipped on the 11th - 1 day late
Nov 11-20 Shipped Yesterday late night so 22nd - 2 days late
Nov 21-30 TBD
I also feel slightly more fortunate dealing with support (Carol gave me a 3 week refund eta) also TBD

Thank you for your reports and testing gives us all an idea
My second s17e shipped out today will be here Wednesday
No way to avoid the 13% import fee in Canada lol paid it every damn time (DHL)

Let’s give it some time see how they handle the credits on a larger scale it’s just beggining
As well as refunds I been given a “within 3 weeks” time window by Carol will report the changes on that
They could change their mind and there is nothing we could do
Once people start receiving the refunds we can judge the situation

Did they ever say what BTC price they will use to refund you? Hopefully, they'll refund at the current price and not the price at the time of your order.

I've got 3 support tickets open and haven't had any response. I trying to find out if I can transfer the credit for a Dec. S17 order to my host who is doing a bulk order from Malaysia.

Did you hear back through a support ticket, or have you been just emailing directly?

Mixture of both emails ticket responses and new tickets
One email a day and one new ticket a day with the same content as the previous email
Dunno How long it will take and if it will be another 10days with no results ....
