Hi,
I have two msi GeForce GTX 1080 ti Aero graphics cards connected to a 850W PSU. The PSU also powers the motherboard and the HDD. I am having stability issues. With windows 7, the windows would crash and reboot. After installing windows 10, the problem switched to, after some time, the mining program (I tried nicehash and awesome miner) stops recognizing one of the graphics cards.
I saw in the spec sheet that each graphics card consumed 300W so I thought that 850W would be enough. As such, I have two questions:
1) What PSU power do I need in order to run both graphics cards whitout stability issues?
2) With the PSU that I have (850W), using msi afterburner to reduce the max power of each graphics card, is it possible to avoid this stability problem? If so, to what percentage should I reduce?
Best regards,
Paulo
