Re: Demoted from Jr. Member to Newbie? Read here first.
by

Before all of y'all start complaining and making a billion new topics about being demoted, read this announcement from theymos. Essentially:

Due to excessive garbage-posting, you now need 1 merit to be a Jr Member. All existing Jr Members who didn't meet the requirement were demoted. Also, newbies can no longer set any signature or personal text.

It's not super difficult to get one merit. Make decent posts that add something to the conversation rather than just rephrasing something someone else has already said. Also, if you're concerned about any bounties you were in that had a rank requirement, talk to your bounty manager about seeing if they will still give you credit for your work.

Finally, don't beg for or buy merits. I can understand that this is frustrating for a lot of you guys, but there's no reason to risk your account for just one merit.

And for those of us that have merits to send, please keep this in mind:

I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

You may not agree with everything someone says, but try to look into the effort behind the posts. It will encourage those who are at least trying to make decent posts to continue posting in the future. Spend some time in the patrol section and look for posts to give merit to.

As a relatively new member to this forum, I would like to offer opinion from other side of the “barricades”. I mean don’t get me wrong, i will be the first one to want to stop sh*t posting, but want to express my opinion about this 1 merit rule.

I believe it is relatively hard to get merit,in contrast what everyone is saying. For getting merit your post have to meet 2 criteria:

-be of good quality/helpful/motivating etc
-you need to be lucky enough for the person reading it to like it so much that they will actually give you merit.

I personally found the 2nd part to be extremely hard to meet, doesn’t matter how good your post is. Thank god for that one amazing person that gave me my only merit, if it wasn’t for him I would be “demoted” now. Funny thing is, he had about 20 merits himself and he gave me one. There are people here that have hundreds of merits and hardly ever share.

Just something to think about 🤔
You have pointed out something which is really important. Its not always your efforts it depends upon the mindset of people reading it and what their opinion is. Like you I was also lucky enough to have that 1 merit.

Why? I legit want to know what you think and what reasons could be cos personally, I think that crypocurrencies make good investment options honestly, and it is definitely something I would recommend to anyone who is interested in gaining their own financial independence. Might be a little risky, but I do not think that there is anything in life that is not itself risky.

Do you really think WP is really important like that? For me, I don't care about WP of any project after every cryptocurrency Smiley. If they have a really good WP but all other things are suck so you still believe in these cryptocurrencies? LOL. It's the only thing I don't agree with you in your list Smiley.
You can not trust just depending upon one factor. I said be sure to atleast read the whitepaper then proceed further.

Re: Native blockchain or Token?
by
psoo7
on 21/08/2018, 09:27:28 UTC
for an investor to invest in either, there is no difference. the only way he can make profit is if the project is hyped up and also if the creators know how to pump it properly. they both can get pumped big or fail horribly if the creators have no idea how the manipulation market works.

for the creator to make profit from what they create, obviously creating a shitty ICO token is much easier than creating a blockchain because it requires much less coding and work and also it will have a lot more hype thanks to the fact that despite ICO hype dying it still is a strong one.
But if we look project wise i.e. the future of project then?

OR
A Exactly similar Project which issuing tokens (ERC20)?

Your suggestion are appreciated but they should be legit only for ICOs, imo Bitcoin is another story! Isn't it?
I support bitcoin to the core of my heart but I am asking people to enter into it on their own consent and understanding about it NOT BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS GETTING INTO IT.

Title was just to bring the attention of Those who are thinking of investing money in bitcoin or any other crypto currency.

A few things you must keep in your mind before investing in Bitcoin or any other crypto currency:

1.Make sure you have read the whitepaper of bitcoin or the currency you are thinking to put money in.
2.Crypto currencies are not just for making money.
3.There are no guarantees of profit.
4.You can loose all your money so invest only what you can afford to loose.
5. Don't panic when market fluctuates because its not only you who is controlling the market.
6.Do not buy and sell in FOMO(Fear of missing out) & FUD(Fear, Uncertainty and doubt).
7.Take opinions but Do your own research before taking any decision.
8.Last and the most important: Patience is the key.

After months of efforts, it is finally here!  We're super-excited to announce that a working beta version of the DiscoveryIoT solution has been deployed at a client location.  Through this solution, for the first time in history, products can be tracked without any specialized infrastructure.  Heartfelt thanks to the entire team and our advisors for their tireless efforts over the past several months to make this moment a reality!

Give way, RFID and Barcode scanners, the DiscoveryIoT solution is here!!

This idea was exactly the missing cube of cuboid for the industry. Thanks for your contribution and all the best Smiley
It may sound a bit superficial at this stage but if they continue like this and fulfill their commitments they are surely going to make a difference.

Re: How can I quit smoking?
by

on 17/08/2018, 07:27:35 UTC
I started practicing cigarettes since I was 9 years old. Regular smoking starts from the age of 12. Now I am 26 years old, I'm trying hard to give up smoking, but can not do  not? Can someone give me some good advice to quit smoking?
There is no rocket science behind it neither any fixed formula. There is nothing like advise on how to quit smoking or anything.
One day you wake up with a will so strong that even if someone give you your favorite cig. lightened up in your bed and yes  You REFUSE!! Thats the only way you are giving up this habit.

some points you should take care of if you want to loose fat.
1. Less intake of carbohydrates.( Wheat/Rice)
2. Zero sugar intake.
3. Less fat intake( oil/butter/cheese)
4. Eat in difference of every three hours.( not full stomach but divide your full day diet into 4 steps)
5. Take eggs with or without york.( 5-5 morning and  evening)
6. drink lukewarm water.
7. Dont sit just after eating and take green tea/ black coffee just after it.
8. Take brown bread as a substitute for normal btread and brown rice instead of white rice.
9. Boiled chicken with pepper salt.
10. If vegan then boiled veggies with salt and pepper.

Ultimately take High energy low fat diet.

This helped me loosing 8 Kgs in just 15 days without any change in my normal lifestyle.

All successful people have 6 things clear:
1) Clear picture of destination
2) Purpose of their business
3) Values that guide them in decision making & how they treat others
4) Numbers they track
5) What is their edge? What makes them different?
6) What needs to get done & by whom

Re: How to identify a good blockchain project?
by
psoo7
on 14/08/2018, 10:18:37 UTC
As said in the topic, how do you guys identify a good blockchain project or a bad one? There are so many projects being talked online...So confusing

Me first, I would check:
1. team background
2. website
3. whitepaper
4. quality of community

What about you?
Some red flags for the beginners in the crypto world! Make sure to check these red flags before investing in any ICO.

1.CLAIMS OF HIGH, GUARANTEED RETURNS.
2.CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENTS
3.CLAIMS OF “SEC-COMPLIANT” (guarantees that their coins will trade on an SEC-compliant exchange where you can buy and sell them for profit)
4. INVESTING WITH A CREDIT CARD.
5. PUMP AND DUMP SCAMS.(Tempting you with guaranteed gains with pumps and dumps during pre ico to crowd sale)
6.Team members without any social profile. if they provide be sure to check the genuinity on basis of followers and background.
7.Language( grammar is correct or not)

and if you have done these be sure to read the whitepaper!!

Discovery intends to charge the enterprise $0.04 per product per month @ 1 ping/day. Compared to other existing solutions, this represents a 60-100x savings in cost for the client, making it truly affordable to the enterprise customer.

That's amazing. Quite Competitive. Following your project. looking forward to its success. All the best.

by

in my opinion this project is very interesting for investors, because there are so many advantages of howeycoin projects. one of which is where investors can, at will, buy or sell without limitation, so that investors will be free to buy and sell their products. and the other advantages are supported by the government. i think this project will be success
and then people say that they have been scammed!!

So I got some strong points to invest in your ICO.
1.GUARANTEED RETURNS.
2.CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENTS.
3. “SEC-COMPLIANT” (guarantees that coins will trade on an SEC-compliant exchange where you can buy and sell them for profit)
4. INVESTING WITH A CREDIT CARD.
5. PUMP AND DUMP.( guaranteed gains with pumps and dumps during pre ico to crowd sale)
6.Team members without any social profile.
7. Whitepaper is very well written with so many grammatical mistakes.

Reserve some tokens for me!
