Re: Has El Salvador been lying to the world?
by

I don't know what bothers IMF, because whether they've made a purchase or not is up to them. The IMF tries to support a nation in its well-being, but these days such incidents aren't happening. In the past, the IMF had big roles, and now countries are trying to stay self-reliant and improve their economy. After the young president of Burkina Faso made the country people work for the betterment of the nation, there was a big transformation. Similar things were experienced by El Salvador on the adoption of Bitcoin. Even if the country is lying to the world for the betterment of the nation, there's nothing wrong.

Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod]

At the moment we can say that India is in full control of the match and it looks difficult that England will be able to win this game. Indian team has scored 587 runs and such score puts the other team under pressure. England still trailing by 510 runs and they already lost 7 wickets. If India can get a lead of 200 runs in first innings then they might be able to win this test and draw the series. England batters need to bat well on third day to save the test.

In the Indian team innings, when Kauran got out and on top Jaiswal too then I was thinking that there might be hard chances for India to come back but hoping for Pant and Shubman Gill  and the way Shubman performed as a captain, he did his responslibityh he took the team out of the terrible situation and out of the pressure and give confidence to all the players, all the playing 11. Then Jadega who was playing in really amazing style and making parternship with Gill, that was amazing and for sure Shubman Gill will be the player of the match, no matter which team wins the contest.

The India team has a high edge on the match, as England has lost three early wickets, reaching just 77 runs by the end of Day 2. Joe Root, along with Harry Brook, has begun to build a partnership. The third day's play will give a better picture about the result of the match. The pitch is very supportive to batting, and the upcoming players of the England team need to stand wicket as well as score good runs, as India has scored 587 runs in the first innings. Jadeja played really well at the lower order and missed a century. Hope he'll support the team through his bowling attack.

Re: Strategy in gambling like trading.
by
romero121
on 04/07/2025, 03:10:04 UTC
Trading is much more connected with the skill-based outcome, whereas gambling is much more about the luck-based one. To be successful in trading, good knowledge about the market, analyzing ability, trend change, and various other parameters needs to be known. With gambling, not much expertise is required. Strategy in trading means long-term growth, whereas with gambling overnight richness is the expectation. So, by all means, the difference will play a big role, unlike the strategies applied to trading and gambling. With gambling everyone can't turn successful, whereas with trading one can improve himself, learn, and take a better position in the long run.

Re: Gambling addiction is not spiritual.

Well said, but sometimes, overcoming addiction takes more than just professional help, it also requires family support. A church organization can even become a second family, especially for someone who no longer has the financial means to seek professional treatment. Being part of a supportive spiritual community can lead to deep personal reflection. It can shift one’s focus and help them grow spiritually. We can’t deny that there are people who have overcome addiction, not just gambling, after becoming more spiritually grounded.
Addiction can't be easily tackled, and it needs self-discipline and acceptance. The best way is for the person himself to realize what he had done wrong and get committed to not gambling anymore and keep himself focused on elsewhere. When a person isn't able to create such a mentality and keep himself in order, then there is a need for combined efforts from professionals, the church, and other organizations that are with the intention to serve the community. The professionals can help him understand the reality, and the church and other organizations can help him stay connected with the community and perform social activities, which are also a kind of relaxation and a way to stay out of loneliness, which is the core that leads a person towards gambling.

Re: Is it worth buying sports tips from trusted tipsters?
by

Buying tips from tipsters is an unwanted expense because they do the prediction similar to the way we do with collective data. We don't know how well the prediction turns out to be successful or not. If the prediction wins, the tipster will receive the credit. If not, the same gets ignored. It is good to go with one's own prediction. If the information is from an insider, then it is good, because many such events have occurred. I personally experienced wins placing bets provided by an insider on a few local matches. I didn't spend big, as I wasn't familiar with such a tipster, but the same thing happened as mentioned.

Sports betting requires skills to have consistent wins. However, luck is an important factor. While doing sports betting, one should not place bets on events one doesn't have much knowledge of. Need to spend only on games in which he or she has good knowledge. In my view, few sporting events like tennis and basketball have the ease of prediction. It is also good to go with such events so that even in the situation of loss, the same can be minimized.

Re: Excitement in gambling and How to Control Yourself ?
by

We place bets hoping for a win, so the win will surely bring excitement. When it comes to losing, it'll be a disappointment, as we hoped to win and the opposite happened. Controlled participation in gambling activities will make it more enjoyable than leading to massive loss or towards addiction. Whether you've got a good sum of money or you don't, just understand gambling and go ahead. If not, try platforms that provide real-time experience on gambling without real money in the account. This way one can understand and then get into gambling, which might not disappoint.

Re: Do winnings encourage you to gamble often, or are they just another stimulant?
by

on 27/06/2025, 21:43:54 UTC
If you're into gambling without proper knowledge, then the winnings will be a stimulant that keeps you hopeful. We keep trying unless we lose everything, and some go beyond the limits of borrowing. When we win, we need to learn to take a break. What we do is we go for high-value bets, and sometimes it'll be a win, and sometimes it may be a loss. If it's a loss, we'll increase the bet to recover what we have lost in the previous bet. If the previous bet has won, we'll be confident to go for high-value bets. This way, in one way or another, winning too is a trigger point when we don't have a plan for our gambling activities.

Re: Not taking risks can actually be good?
by

on 27/06/2025, 14:46:14 UTC
What does risking mean? Sacrificing something for the betterment or to attain something better in life. Life without risk will give a steady living, but to reach the next level or move to a better position in society, one needs to take risks. It can be in business or any sort of other activities, not gambling. In my view, gambling is not the right choice to take risks. It is the choice to examine whether you're lucky or not. So, here one should not risk what one can afford to lose. One can spend as if spending on a movie.

Re: Sports betting: Are you being played?

Good initiative to create awareness among the young generation that is much addicted to gambling. Based on sources, 64% of adult New Zealanders have gambled in the past 12 months. On average, 26% of internet users in the country have gambled recently. This is a big volume from a small island nation.

On average, $598 is spent every year on gambling. These are all huge, and teenagers use the internet a lot. This means that among the 26%, at least 20% will be teenagers. Gambling being a big business, the market is full of different platforms. Lotteries, gaming machines, and sports betting are among the most popular ones. However, the participation is high in these events, and the fund is low in terms of per capita losses. "Are you being gambled?" is following the principle "prevention is better than cure." This is appreciable and makes more of the young generation understand and decide what they need to do with gambling.

Re: How much risk is it worth taking?
by
romero121
on 27/06/2025, 02:40:42 UTC
Not with gambling. In each and every activity where money is involved, there'll be risk. The better part is how we handle the risks and prefer to take part in the risk. When we get into an investment, there'll be learning how to handle the market situations unlike the profit and loss experienced. With money in a business, the learning about the business will take place, and slowly we'll get better as we avoid the mistakes. With gambling, we learn, we improve, but we don't have the assurance of being successful through it, as luck plays a major part. In this accordance, risking in gambling can be done with your own money. When you don't have any more, don't go for borrowing and gambling.

Re: Can a video about gambling addiction put the addiction in a positive light?
by
romero121
on 25/06/2025, 21:24:13 UTC
Watching these kinds of videos is misleading and moves us towards the gambling platform. When you want to know the effects of gambling addiction and the ways to get out of it, the best choice is real-life documentaries. One needs the patience to watch, and there is a difference between people sharing their real-life experiences and just explaining someone else's suffering to the world. Being fearful of the community itself is a big thing that could change one's habitual activity. When someone is trying to ignore the community and live on his own, we need to include him in the community. This will keep people away from most of the unwanted activities.

Re: Signs of an irresponsible gambling parents.
by
romero121
on 25/06/2025, 20:31:18 UTC
We should never do anything in front of our children that is very risky. We all know how risky gambling is, especially the harmful effects of gambling on children. If we start gambling in front of our children, it will not take long for our children to become addicted to gambling and it will not take long for their lives to be ruined. At some point, they will sell their assets to finance this gambling or get involved in immoral activities like stealing.
This generation's kids are so intelligent that they keep each and everything in their minds. When it comes to parents, they'll be having more attachment, and they find these activities to be common, or they aren't wrong, as this has been practiced by the parent. As most users said, first, the gambling shop is irresponsible for allowing the kids to enter the shop. Second, parents need to think well before getting into such kinds of activities that affect their personal lives financially and mentally. Out of poverty or with the hope of getting better, they're doing it, but the same shouldn't harm the society and the young generation, which are the future pillars of every country.

India lost because in second innings they relied only on KL Rahul and Pant batting, if remaining batsmen have scored some runs then target would be high for England. The English team got good start in second innings and rest of batting take over responsibility once the opening pair got out. It's a high scoring game as total 1673 runs were scored in both innings which is highest match aggregate for England vs India in Tests. It's a five match series and English camp will be happy to start the series by winning the test.

Yes, you are absolutely right, India scored 364 runs in the second innings, of which Rahul and Pant's runs (137+118)=255 runs
And the remaining batsmen's total (364-255)=109 runs

There was a remarkable partnership throughout the innings, that one between Rahul and Pant of 195 runs. Due to which India's total in the second innings did not go much further. If one or two more good partnerships could have been made, the game would have been a little more exciting.
Anyway, England has batted well this year. Due to which they won the match by 5 wickets.
.Senior players used to perform well in all formats of cricket. The upcoming generation of players is focused on a specific format of cricket. This seems to be the reason why many of the players perform well and good in T20 format cricket and fail in test format cricket. Look at Sai Sudharshan, who played well in IPL but wasn't able to do well in the test match. Jaiswal performed in the first innings, and in the second innings his role is important to give a big start. He failed, and we were able to see the shortcoming of runs against the first innings, which is also one of the reasons for India losing a match that is predicted to be a draw or win for India.

Re: Sometimes you win some time you lose the game of gambling
by

Everyone who is into gambling could've experienced winning and losing. It is part of gambling, and a strategy won't be successful all the time. We need to make changes and try. If we're lucky for the day, it'll turn out to be a win. If not, we end up losing. Based on my gambling experience, the number of wins was higher than the number of losses. However, when we calculate the statistics, most of the gamblers will be having a negative balance, whereas a very few number of gamblers will be having positive statistics.

Re: Losing time in gambling is worse than losing money.
by
romero121
on 24/06/2025, 02:50:53 UTC
Being a responsible gambler will keep themself within a limit. This means time, money, and everything will get added. When one becomes addicted, they'll not think about the time they've been wasting. Rather, they think of recovering what has been lost earlier. By the time they arise with a mind to focus on improving their career or learn something productive, surely with time the pain caused due to the loss will fade as the career growth provides them with better earnings. Most of the time people misunderstand that keeping on trying in gambling will make them successful, but the reality is different. Only the luckiest will succeed, whereas with career growth, each and every one who puts in their hard hardwork will progress for sure.

Re: Gambling and superstitious belief
by

on 24/06/2025, 00:15:28 UTC
Gambling came from old agies, like thousand of years, so gambling comes with superstitious even for today's way of gambling even though it's been debunked and no direct connection to it. But most of gamblers do belive something like it even with younger gamblers lol
Gambling has a big history. Some say it emerged from China, and some say it is being modernized by Italy. However, the path through which it has come has undergone a big transition. Based on which it is true that superstitious beliefs were also part of it. During the earlier days, livestock were considered for gambling, which was found to be valuable. Always there will be some form of emotional connection, and the same in the modern era have gotten connected with color, time, and location as some of the superstitious factors. In my thoughts, most of the time the coincidences were considered and connected with superstition.

Re: Is Gambling Affect Education/Studies?
by
romero121
on 20/06/2025, 16:16:05 UTC
People easily get into gambling, believing that it'll change their lives. When it comes to teenagers and young people, the expectations will be high. Mostly during the school and starting days of university education, students have big expectations and need money just to spend. None of their spending will be on useful things. These needs will trigger them to risk what is available to them and try their luck. Even a few of our members in the past have shared their stories of losing their tuition fees to gambling and missing their exams.
